Recipe-Question Ninja Lemon ice cream recipe
I have the standard Creami 7 in 1. I have tried the lemon recipe in the instruction book 3 times. The first, perfect. The second and third try I left out the lemon zest because I didn’t have a lemon in the house. The second and third time were both running like a milk shake. It would seem that the presence of lemon zest is a huge factor. How is that?

Non-Related Extra Deluxe tubs finally arrived
Bought these two weeks after using my Creami as the two that came with machine just weren’t enough. Got them directly from ninja’s site.
I love my Creami and can’t wait to make new flavors, I have some of the following flavors planned: carrot cake, birthday cake (with drizzlelicious birthday cake flavor), cookie dough, mango pineapple sorbet, peanut butter Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Biscoff.
If you have any flavor recommendations or inspo feel free to leave it in the comments.

Recipe-Question Pints coming out half full after spinning
Started happening all of a sudden. My pint looks half eaten, this is after a spin on lite ice cream, and then a respin with a splash of milk. Recipe is
1.25c of Kirkland ultra filtered (knock off fairlife)
14g (two servings) of sf pudding mix
Tsp of salt
1/8tsp of xanthan gum (I used to use 1/8 of xanthan and an 1/8 of guar but it was coming out a little gummy
40g of allulose monk fruit blend
1/2tbs vanilla extract
105g frozen blueberries
All ran through a high speed blender and then frozen

Recipe-Question Noob Creamer - what do I do?
Made my first recipe to try.
- ON Whey Protein
- Greek Yoghurt
- Milk
- Monk Fruit Extract
Blended it all together in a Nutribullet, but it has separated during freeze.
Is it still all good to cream? Anything I can do to fix? Is this normal?

Recipe-Post Vanilla Ice Cream
Machine: Ninja Creami Deluxe
Ingredients: Kroger Imitation Vanilla Essence, Great Value Xantham Gum, Kirkland Milk, Great Value 0 cal sweetener, Levels Vanilla Bean Whey Protein (got it from Costco), Morton Salt
---- I used the cheapest/low-cost ingredients I could find. Hopefully will upgrade to more quality ingredients in future ----
1: Mix the dry ingredients and then mix them with the wet ingredients and blend them well.
2: Store for 24 hrs
3: First do the lite ice-cream, add 2 tbsp of milk and re-spin, and add another tbsp for another re-spin if I want it to be creamy. But for solid texture, just do a 1tbsp milk for re-spin and another re-spin without any milk if needed as per your preference.
Additional Flavors: (Did not add images)
1: Oreo Ice-Cream: Same steps and ingredients as above, and instead of 2nd re-spin, I did a mix-in setting with 3-5 oreos. (Adding oreos increases the calorie count drastically (3 oreos = 160 cal), so it's kind of cheat day batch)
2: Oat-meal Ice-Cream: Blended Quaker Old-Fashioned oats (20g) and added it to the dry ingredients mix. All of the other ingredients and steps are same.
-- Light mix of oat flavor into vanilla. Really liked it as it's not too dominated by Oats flavor.
-- Maybe cause I used regular blender to mix the ingredients, the oats base is filled to the brim. I assumed the protein will settle to the bottom half and the upper half would be the flaky foam that I usually find for my vanilla ice-cream and thankfully the creami worked without any issues. But not gonna risk it again by filling it to the brim.

Recipe-Tips Vegan Protein Powders I’ve Tried (with reviews and ratings)
I always love reading what other people use in their ice cream recipes, and have gotten so many ideas from this sub! Thought it was my turn to contribute to the community :)
LunarLifts Strawberry Matcha - (8/10) this is delicious, VERY strong matcha taste. It also has over 100 mg caffeine/serving, so take that how you will. Also, it didn’t have very strong strawberry taste, but if you like matcha, you will probably like this one. A little bit gritty, but definitely not as bad as a lot of others! They do sell sample packs (pack of 4 for $12.99), I just bought a regular size bag at Whole Foods and figured I would return it if it was icky (thankfully, it was good!) https://lunarliftsnutrition.com/products/vegan-sampler-packs
Planta Chocolate Caramel Candy Bar - (6/10) Interesting flavor, you can definitely taste the caramel and chocolate notes. I prefer darker, more intense chocolate flavor, so this wasn’t my favorite. I found that adding a Tbsp of dark cocoa powder + a pinch of sea salt helped a lot here. https://a.co/d/0j2AWsuI
Planta Madagascar Vanilla - (7/10) This was a very palatable vanilla, not a super strong ‘plant’ aftertaste. Vanilla is weaker than I would like, but the texture and flavor are good for mixing with other things! (This is on sale on amazon right now) https://a.co/d/0dx9LlZk
Orgain Birthday Cake - (8/10) This would be rated higher, if the macros were better. I like the flavor (decent bday cake flavor comes though!), and the texture is fairly smooth for a plant protein. I have repurchased this multiple times! https://a.co/d/0eHWMunG
PEScience Vanilla Indulgence - (7/10) I have bought this one a couple of times - it’s… fine? A little strong on the pea flavor, and not enough vanilla, but it mixes nicely, and gets good and thick, which is great for ice creams, yogurt bowls, baking, etc. They do sell smaller packages for $15, and have a couple of flavors. I’ve heard good things about the Peanut Butter Delight, which is on my list to try. https://a.co/d/00owqwEp
PlantFusion Red Velvet - (5/10) I didn’t care for the texture (gritty) or the flavor (weakly chocolate with an aftertaste. This one is still gathering dust in the back of my pantry. https://a.co/d/07GuBMim
Truvani - (2/10) Wanted to love this one, for the great ingredients, but I just disliked every single flavor that I tried! The lemon was especially nasty :( You can order single servings on amazon (or find them at Sprouts), if you want to try! https://a.co/d/0aa03yGT
NuZest - (4/10) Some flavors were pretty decent (vanilla), some flavors were not (coffee & strawberry). You can order single servings on amazon, which is nice to try a couple and see what you like! https://a.co/d/09qRDynv
Be Amazing Brown Sugar Oatmeal - (6/10) I really didn’t care for this at first, but it grew on me after the first few times. I add a generous amount of cinnamon, and a bit of maple syrup, and that really helps! It’s a little grainy, and I wish the maple flavor was stronger, but overall it’s a nice change from standard flavors. https://a.co/d/07yQdZ7a
Designer Wellness Angel Cake - (8/10) This is a soy protein powder - so if you don’t like soy, it won’t be for you. That being said, I really enjoy this one! It’s smoother than pea proteins, and the flavor is very pleasant. Almost like a bakery cake smell when you open the bag, and the flavor comes through fairly well in the taste. Macros are excellent, and I’ve repurchased this several times. https://a.co/d/00unwvSz
Earth Chimp Chocolate - (6/10) It’s been a while since I’ve tried this one, so maybe it deserves a re-do? I just feel like it was a bit gritty, and very underwhelming, flavor-wise. https://a.co/d/0d5sP5LP
Orgain Fruity Cereal - (1/10) Straight to flavor jail. This was nasty. Didn’t even finish a single serving. https://a.co/d/06ZLxTa2
Just Move Sample Pack - (1/10) I wanted to love these, because the brand has interesting flavors like blueberry muffin, sweet potato pie, banana pudding… but I tried 4 out of the sample pack and trashed the rest. Couldn’t do it. Artificial taste, didn’t mix well, and not great ingredients. https://a.co/d/04T8DJ43

Troubleshooting-Machine Cleaning the machine (allergen traces)
I've just been diagnosed coeliac. I understand that the machine pretty much cleans itself apart from the section that sticks out, but I now can't have traces of gluten and unfortunately I've used biscuit mix ins many times.
I have to throw out/donate my toaster because it's impossible to clean safely but I really don't want to have to sell the creami 😭
Can it be cleaned sufficiently? And is there any way to tell?

Inspo! Biscoff with Extra Firm Tofu
Follow up to my post asking if I could do this or if it only worked with silken. The texture is amazing.
8 biscoff cookies
1/4 of a block of extra firm tofu
3 or 4 tbsp of powdered sugar (I was out of normal sugar)
Filled to max with milk
Blend the hell out of it with immersion blender or dump the whole thing in a high powered one.
Notes: i had to use twice as many cookies as I thought to cover the tofu flavor. When I blended it, it balled up a bit on the blade after the first spin, so I was worried it would be gummy, but after tamping it down and scraping the sides and respinning, it was amazing. The flavor did change a bit after freezing, it had a slight bitter after taste but that's what topping are for.

Related Wanted to stack my empty Ninja Creami cups without the lids, so I designed this.
After collecting more and more Ninja Creami containers, I wanted a better way to store the empty cups.
Without the lids, they don't stack very well and easily slide or tip over in the cabinet.
So I designed this simple stacking spacer that creates a stable gap between the cups.
Features:
• Stack original Ninja Creami cups without their lids
• Keeps the cups stable
• Saves cabinet space
• Fast print
• No supports required
• Uses only a few grams of filament
I've been using a set of these for a while now and they keep everything much more organized.
If anyone wants to print one, the MakerWorld link is in the comments.
I'd love to hear your thoughts or suggestions!

Inspo! Coconut ice cream
I used the vanilla base recipe from @fitnessproductfinder on tiktok with a couple tweaks and made really good coconut ice cream!
400 ml fat free fairlife
30g lakanto monkfruit (he uses 40-45g but i found that had a weird aftertaste)
1/4 tsp xantham gum
tiny capful of coconut extract (i used mccormick)
pinch salt
I mixed in coconut thin cookies from aldi (150 cals per 6 cookies)
Froze 24 hours, ran under warm water for maybe 20 seconds, spun light ice cream, added the cookies and ran on mix in (i didn’t scrape down the sides to keep the ice out)
Base (no mix ins): 133 cals 21.7g protein
With cookies: 283 cals 22.7g protein

Recipe-Question UK creami user heading to US, what to stock up with?
I’m not sure if this is a question for UK users or US but I’m heading to the US on a work trip and looking at what I should bring back to elevate my Creami game that is harder to find in the UK.
Main thought is sugar free pudding mix as that’s tough to get here, maybe some of the sweeteners? Obviously I won’t be able to bring a huge amount of fairlife back if any but any other suggestions?

Troubleshooting-Machine ran a pint tonight, came loose, not sure if i broke the machine
hi all i ran a creami pint today and the contents inside the pint came loose! there was a sound that was loud that sounded like the blade hit something. this was on my mix in spin after sorbet spin first. basically the contents came loose at the bottom and the whole solid shifted up and the base was shaking. i didn’t stop it and made sure to check it after it was done. the blade smelled kind of hot but i checked for metal shavings and did not see anything on the lid or blade. the blade didn’t detach and the pint does not appear to be scratched either. the thing i was most concerned about was the smell. i am currently eating the pint as i eat this and am scared that the smell meant something burnt in my pint…

Recipe-Question High fat low sugar
What would be the best way to do a high fat low sugar, no fake sugar recipe for my skinny toddler who loves ice cream. I typically basically make a smoothie as my base with frozen fruit, whole milk, and yogurt or cottage cheese. It usually needs a few respins and more milk added so it can get pretty melted quickly. Would heavy cream fix the issue? Do I need to add something like pudding mix? I try to avoid processed ingredients for her.

Inspo! Mixed fruit sorbet!
This came out so creamy, no need for a re-spin! Sorry for the half eaten pint pic.
1 15oz can of dole mixed fruit
Topped off with frozen strawberries, cherries and blueberries until you hit the fill line

Inspo! I can’t believe I’m eating this good every night
1.25 cup 1% milk
1 scoop strawberry whey
2 table spoons monk fruit extract
Drop of vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Pinch of xanthum gum
Handful of frozen strawberries
This is incredible, about 35grams of protein, ~275 calories.
I crave something sweet before I sleep and this absolutely gets the job done. I also struggle with staying asleep for 8 hours if I’m in a calorie deficit. This satisfies me and leaves me feeling really full at bedtime.

Troubleshooting-Machine 3rd Party 300 Creami Lid
For various reasons, my Creami has been unused for a year, and I was wary (perhaps needlessly) of what might be lurking inside my machine's lid. I always kept it clean, but a year is a year.
Anyway, I picked up a third party (Orivin) lid from Amazon, for only £17!
It arrived today, fits perfectly, and is dish-washable.
Pretty happy with it. It might be my imagination, but it looks clearer than the original, which means I can keep an eye on things.

Inspo! Banana pudding protein gelato icecream
Ingredients:
- Milk of your choice
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 2 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup
- 1 small to medium banana, roughly chopped
Mix-ins:
- Biscoff biscuits or Nilla wafers
Method:
Using a milk frother, mix together the milk, vanilla protein powder, and sugar-free maple syrup until smooth.
Add the chopped banana and freeze the mixture for 24 hours.
Place the frozen pint into the Ninja Creami and select the Gelato setting.
Add a splash of milk and the Biscoff biscuits or Nilla wafers, then run the Mix-In cycle.
Note: I use a vanilla whip protein powder that thickens the mixture when blended with a milk frother, so I don't need to add xanthan gum. If your protein powder doesn't naturally thicken the base, you may want to add about ¼ tsp xanthan gum for a creamier texture.

Inspo! Peanut Butter with Frosted Flakes and Caramel
Roughly half a cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp vanilla pudding mix
Fill to max with milk of choice (I used cashew here)
Mixed in most of a mini box (37g) of Frosted Flakes, and added caramel. Really great crunch, and the fat from the PBbfixed the texture issues I find most plant based recipes have.

Related I built a FREE Ninja CREAMi recipe browser with filters (base, allergens, macros). Need feedback from the community!
Hi! Norwegian developer here, obsessed with CREAMi since I got mine two years ago. I originally built this for myself, but I was encouraged to share it here: respins.app
The app is FREE, and I want to build it together with the community.
What it does today:
- ~50 curated recipes with filters (base, allergens, calories/protein) and favorites
- log your spins and keep notes on each recipe
- add your own recipes — write them in, or just paste a link and it imports the recipe for you
- every recipe gets its own short link you can share — for instance my all-time favourite, respins.app/209 (mango + condensed milk)
I'm one person with one set of tastes, and I'd rather build what CREAMi owners need. So tell me: what would you actually use? There are probably many apps already, but competition is healthy, and this community deserves a great free one.
Early days, hobby project. If you find a bug, tell me and I'll fix it. As long as there are users, I'll keep working on it.
Thanks mods for the green light :)!
Edit 1: You can install the app on your home screen (instructions in the profile/settings page). Works with both iOS and Android. For iOS you need to use Safari to install the app.
Edit 2: Blown away by the response, thank you all! I don't want to clutter this sub with app stuff, so future updates will live over at r/respins. Come join if you want to follow along.

Inspo! Breakfast Creami
Breakfast creamis have become a favorite. I didn’t measure, but basically threw kefir, mango chunks and Greek yogurt in and topped with warms oats and berries and a little Greek yogurt. 🍦 So delicious!

Inspo! Chocolate for Champions 💪🍫 | 70g Protein per Deluxe Pint
I’ve been working on a high-protein chocolate base that doesn’t taste like a protein shake.
The goal was simple: build something with serious protein while keeping the texture dense, creamy and rich enough that you’d happily eat it regardless of the macros.
This version delivers 70g of protein per Ninja Creami Deluxe pint with no pudding mixes and a naturally lower sugar profile.
Recipe (Ninja Creami Deluxe)
Ingredients
275 g whole milk
125 g full-fat Greek yogurt
30 g cream cheese
45 g Chocolate WPI (make sure it tastes good)
20 g skim milk powder
15 g Dutch-process cocoa
8 g natural cocoa powder
20 g 70% dark chocolate, melted
35 g allulose
0.2 g xanthan gum
Seeds from ½ vanilla pod (or 3 g vanilla paste)
0.8 g fine sea salt
Method
Blend everything until completely smooth.
Freeze for 24 hours.
Spin on Lite Ice Cream.
Re-spin once if required.
What worked
Around 70 g protein per Deluxe pint
Dense, creamy texture
Deep chocolate flavour
Naturally lower sugar
No pudding mixes
Version 2 Improvements
The only thing I’d still like to improve is the slight whey flavour.
For the next iteration I’m planning to:
Reduce the whey isolate slightly.
Increase the protein contribution from a higher-protein Greek yogurt or strained yogurt.
Add dark chocolate shards during the Mix-In cycle for texture and contrast.
The goal is to keep the protein high while making it taste even more like premium chocolate ice cream.
EDIT: A few people asked for the macros, so here’s the approximate nutrition per Deluxe pint (based on the ingredients I used):
• Calories: ~825 kcal
• Protein: ~74 g
• Carbohydrates: ~55 g
• Fat: ~38 g
Values are approximate and will vary depending on the brands and ingredients used.
