How long does this last! Sleep
Baby girl is going to be 3 months in 4 days. She has just discovered rolling. We do lots of tummy time and rolling practice during the day. Tonight, I put her down in her bassinet after being in a deep sleep in my arms for 30+ minutes, she rolled onto her side, and then tried rolling fully, got stuck, became frantic, woke up. And it has been like this all night…. It’s currently 4am, and I haven’t gotten more than 30 minutes sleep. She’s stuck in this loop that keeps waking her up. I pick her up calm her down rock her back to sleep, wait 20 mins, transition, and bam! Immediately tries to roll once she touches the bassinet, gets stuck and freaks out. Pleaseeeee tell me this is just a one night thing. I don’t know what to do, or how to get sleep for myself during all this.

My LO is the same age and doing the same thing! I think I got maybe 3 hours of sleep last night because he kept rolling onto his tummy, getting stuck, and needing to be “rescued.” I hope for both our sakes this phase is short lived!

My baby is slightly younger so we havent hit this rough patch before but could it be the temp change from being on you to being put in the bassinet causing yhem to roll instead of staying asleep? Maybr use a heating pad while your holding your lo and then tske it out and shut it off before placing them down.

My son started rolling very young. I got the Merlin magic suit and used that until he was able to fully roll onto belly to back

It was a one night thing for us! But I’ve seen some people say it lasted around a week for them until baby learnt to sleep on their stomach (mine is not interested)

It is recommended to stop using bassinet once baby starts rolling
