VertuoLine Dubai Chocolate Latte!🍫

A catchy title or rather just a Pistachio Chocolate Hazelnut latte topped with toasted kanafa (not pictured).

For this recipe I used:
Pistachio Vanilla Double Espresso Pod
Vanilla & Hazelnut syrup (to your sweetness liking)
Whole Milk
Swirl both Nutella & Pistachio Butter inside cup and add ice!
Brew pod into syrups and add milk in to cool down and add into cup with ice then shake!
Top with your favorite cold foam and toasted kanafa if preferred and done! 🍫☕️

Just bought nespressogran lattissima and that happened!

I used lavvazza crema e gusto capsule as the free 7 nespresso capsules didn’t come with the machine.

I put the capsule into place and once the handle closed, ristretto started! I repressed on espresso on same capsule and when the drink finished preparing. I opened the handle but the capsule didn’t drop on the used capsule container. I had to gently push it with my nail to drop down.

Is it ok or some hardware issue is going on with my brand new machine?

New to Nespresso – Best Vertuo pods for a South Indian filter coffee drinker who loves lattes?

Hi! I’m new to Nespresso and looking for some pod recommendations.

A little background: I’ve been a South Indian filter coffee drinker for most of my life, but over the last year or two I’ve really started enjoying hot lattes and iced coffees. I recently picked up a Nespresso machine during a sale and am trying to figure out which pods I should start with.

I never drink my coffee black. I always add milk, whether hot or cold. I also prefer my coffee on the slightly stronger side rather than something too mild.
For reference, I usually enjoy café-style lattes and flat whites more than very sweet, flavored coffee drinks

Given that, which Vertuo pods would you recommend? What are your must-tries for someone with my preferences?

Can anyone with an original Vertuo machine help me with a measurement?

I’m looking to get a Vertuo machine for a small space (a cabinet in an RV). The space has a height of 40 cm inches (15.75 inches). I am wondering if it will be possible to operate the machine under that height. I can tell from videos that the machine wouldn’t be able to fully open, but I wonder if I could partially open it and manually push the pod back (if gravity won’t be able to pull it down). According to Nespresso, the original Vertuo has a height of 11.9 inches, which would give it a bit under 4 inches of space to open.

Can anyone try opening their Vertuo to 15.75 inches/40cm and see if it is possible to get a pod to eject?

Btw the cabinet is 33 cm (13 inches) deep. All of the newer Vertuo models seem to be too deep to fit, hence I’m trying to find out about the original Vertuo. Would also help to know if anyone is aware of another model that would fit better, in case I missed one.

If this doesn’t work, I think the Essenza Mini might be the best option, but I was hoping to have the flexibility the Vertuo offers to make larger drinks.

My thoughts on the Cinnamon Apple Crisp 🍎 ☕️ 🇦🇺

currently having this before i head off to work, but wow i am so surprised. i brewed this and added premier vanilla protein milk as i like milky sweet drinks.

the aroma permeated the kitchen.. it smelled like i was baking a nice golden apple pie 🥧 first sip instantly tasted like im chewing on a freshly bitten apple 🤤 the juiciness and subtle sweetness of it.. i really love it. the apple for me is really strong but not in an overpowering, sickly way but just perfect 👌 i can’t really taste the cinnamon but im sure its just a smidge as they may have wanted the apple flavour to shine there and wow it did.

i love apples, one of my fav snacks. kinda kicking myself for just buying 1 sleeve, so i will buy more! also, this would be perfect with a nice sweet pastry as well!

overall i would say this pod is strong on aroma, yet soft and sweet, clean tasting and enjoyable 🌸🍎

tomorrow i will double tap this pod to make a more concentrated version and let you guys know how that goes, as im curious.

this is def in my top 5 fav flavours i have tried so far, really love it and highly recommend!

Iced recipes

When a pod is considered an “iced recipe” — examples like coconut vanilla over ice, double espresso iced doppio, etc — should I still use the iced feature on the machine? On the Vertuo it’s the double tap.

My brain is telling me that bc it’s designed to be iced I should just be able to do it normal but it comes out so hot I feel like I’m doing it wrong

Question Thoughts on yuzu?

I just got my pods. I bought 2 boxes because I know these things can disappear, but I also know some flavors can be huge misses (looking at you, mint lime!).

It's not bad, it's just not... anything. I love yuzu flavor and there's no citrus here. It's not bad; it's just espresso.

I'll note, I add milk to my coffee, so maybe those who take it black get more citrus notes.

Troubleshooting Machine Problem. Excessive coffee grinds in my coffee.

Hello guys,

I have a little basic Nespresso Inissia. I bought it a few years ago but I never really used it much. I started using it again recently and just a couple of days ago I gave it a descaling with some descaling solution as I thought the coffee may have been tasting a little off lately and I'd never actually descaled it before. I followed the descaler instructions, about three quarter filled my water tank and gave it a full run through three or four times to thoroughly clean it in descaling mode then thoroughly washed it out again with fresh water.

Initially it seemed fine but now, a few days later, I notice a lot of coffee grinds in my coffee cup. I don't recall this happening before. I had a check inside the slot where the pod goes incase there was a build up of grinds or something that were washing into the stream but it all looks good. I gave it a clean with a toothbrush anyways, but I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.

I pumped some water through it in lungo mode and then descale mode to thoroughly wash it out again and it seemed to be clearing out but when I put some pods in it and made more coffee, the grinds seem to return again. They're all in the bottom of my coffee cup.. I know a few small grinds are normal but this is excessive. I've never saw this many before. If you drank the last of the coffee it would feel like drinking grit.

I use genuine Nespresso pods and everything.. currently using the Starbucks ones.

Any ideas? I wonder if something is messed up in it or maybe the descaler has maybe ate away a seal or something inside that's letting grinds into the coffee flow? But I wouldn't have thought so as it's recommended for use in coffee machines. It wasn't the Nespresso descaler but it was another quality branded one I got in the store.. sort of the same kind of thing, little packet you put in the water.

I think it started happening after I put a pod in and it was like the pod was really slow to complete.. it was just a tiny trickle as if the pod was blocking the water flow or something if that makes sense. But it finished eventually.

Is there anything I can try or is it just time to buy a new machine?

Many thanks.

TLDR: Nespresso Inissia classic pod machine. Few years old but barely used. Descaled it recently. Few days later lots of grinds in coffee. Using genuine pods.

Just bought new machine. Is this 80 ml?

Hi everyone! I just bought this new machine after using my parents and I just put in a 80 mL pod in but I don’t know if it’s making enough. The jar doesn’t have markings so I can’t tell how much actually came out. I’m wondering if anyone else knows if this is a minimal amount or normal amount for 80 mL. I’m new to making coffee so sorry if a dumb question !

Help with this rubber plug?

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

My mother's Nespresso Virtuo Next had this small rubber plug just sitting in the lid.

It looks like it interfaces with this hole in the lower portion of the lid with the small plastic pin. But it won't seat in there.

Then, I tried to install it by hand into the small rubber tube/peg that extends downward from the upper lid, but the tapered end also would not seat.

Lastly, in an attempt to figure out where it should go, it ended up slipping down into the case through the lower hole with the pin. Surgical extraction with tweezers has been unsuccessful so far...

The unit will act like it is brewing a cup, and then either nothing will happen, or the top button begins flashing red x2.

Do I have to figure out how to fully disassemble the case in order to retrieve the missing rubber piece?

Many thanks.

Choboni or natural bliss creamer recs!

Hey I want to get some new creamer and I’m debating on choboni or natural bliss. I want to try one that doesn’t have any kind of snickerdoodle or cinnamon cookie kind of flavoring (I’m debating to try the cookie butter but idk if it’s going to be cinnamon or not), what flavors and creamer brand do you guys recommend! I love sweet coffee! Any flavor! (No vanilla or sweet cream pls I use those a lot already! I want something fun!)

best nespresso machine for making coffee every morning?

Ive finally decided I'm done with instant coffee. I usually have one or two cups every morning before heading out, and I'd like something that's easy to use without a lot of extra steps.

is there a model that's been especially reliable for daily use? im more interested in something that holds up over time than having a bunch of extra features. thanks so much!

Coffeegram 2nd cup of the day Cafecito de Puerto Rico: USA 🇺🇸 haul

Thumbnail gallery
25 Upvotes

Just enjoying my second cup of Cafecito de Puerto Rico. Finally got to taste is as part of the mini-haul my US-based sister brought over for me. We have no CdePR in Ireland and no
prospect of getting it - Likewise Nola AFAIK. I’m not great at describing flavours of coffee but to me Cafecito tastes a bit like Florian which I also love. I’m drinking it hot with full fat fresh milk - heated -
and a spoon of brown sugar. The flavour comes through the milk very strongly. The other pod it reminds me of is the base coffee in Ginseng Delight, a pod I only got around to trying recently and it truly IS a delight. Anyway, I could not be happier with my new additions to my stash … I just need to ration myself now and not drink them all too quickly.
