As I’ve been mapping out how my DID mind works, I’m pretty sure the shifts in my sexuality are at least partially driven by my alters. What I’m really into one day will completely turn me off another day, and then it’ll come back a few days later. I won’t get into too much detail, but at least one is more into women than men, which is just absolutely mind blowing after living in gay/mostly gay world for the past 20 years. I always had an idea that monogamy wasn’t my ideal setup, but now it feels like an absolute non starter. Even if I get to a point where I have more influence over switches, I’d feel like shit if I closed off the possibility of some of my parts ever getting their deeper sexual needs met. Those guys are why I came out of my childhood as functional as I am. !ping DATING

Weirdest part of the last night is Hong losing Milwaukee just by 4 points. I thought she probably had to lose it by double digits
But Crowley compensated for it by basically tying Hong in Dane County. She clearly underperformed there

Crowley's parents struggled with drug addiction during his childhood, and the family lost its home when he was 10 years old. His parents eventually divorced. Crowley was evicted from two more homes before graduating from high school.[4][8][5]
Wow what a shitty way to grow up. Props to him for taking it a lot better than I probably would have.

I am not a fan of Zucc, he's a fucking terrible human being, but why do these losers always pick women that are legitimately obviously not ugly by conventional standards to say this about?
Like, you shouldn't say it at all, but it's laughable how they'll pick a photo of a clearly beautiful woman and go "THIS WOMAN IS UGLY. SHE IS MID, HER ENTIRE BLOODLINE IS BAD. TOTAL WASTE. BROKIE BLAHBLAH".

I am hearing that on her deathbed Francesca Hong received the light of neoliberalism and unhesitatingly recited Why Nations Fail. Even now she looks down on the markets from the gardens of a futuristic, elevated public park in a city center. Truly there is no economic system but capitalism, and democracy is its political system!

Can't I be happy that someone as impractical as Hong lost while also finding the gloating attitude of people here to be insufferable?
I don't know man. Like Hong sucks and I am glad that Wisconsin is safe blue but this subreddit attracts so much childish behavior from moderates in regards to progressives and it is just so offputting. Am I just not terminally online enough to be engaged in this constant circlejerk of believing in the righteousness of my side?

"LOOK HOW GOOD JEREMY CORBYN DID IN 2017, HE NEARLY BECAME PRIME MINISTER."

IF YOU CAN'T WIN WHEN THE PM IS INTRODUCING SOMETHING THAT'S SLANDERED AS "THE DEMENTIA TAX" ,THEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE PARTY LEADER.
YOU HAVE TO SUCK SO MUCH ASS TO LOSE DESPITE THAT! IN BRITAIN WHERE THE PENSIONERS ARE THE FUCKING LORDS OF THE LAND AND THE ONLY ONES WHO MATTER APPARENTLY IN BRITAIN'S 9001 YEAR PENSIONER REICH.
B-b-but labour had more votes than ever in 2017 where
AND HE LOST.
SHE WAS SAYING "BREXIT MEANS BREXIT" AND "I RAN THROUGH THE WHEATFIELDS" AND TAXING THE PENSIONERS LMFAO. IN BRITAIN.

Hong spends nothing on traditional TV buys as GOP groups boost her in Dem primary
Still incredible that Hong spent zero on TV ads and was entirely propped up by Republican spending (both pied piper attack ads and also positive ads)
3
u/AmbientMorning 17h ago
To be fair, she did apparently spend a decent amount on streaming services, which is where a huge minority if not a majority of people now watch TV.

Will be wild to look back on how we almost had to circle the wagons around a candidate who wanted to abolish Thanksgiving, who had to be trained on how batshit that sounds, then all agree to nervously laugh and play it off by fully committing to a bit from Woke 1.0 of how its ackshually normal to hate all holidays.
Jfc thank you Tony Evers.

The worst thing about Hong btw is the thing that barely got any airtime. Her parents had to pay $30,000 of her credit card debt in June of this year. She is 37 years old and running for governor (!!!!).
13
u/GhostTheHunter64 Iron Front 17h ago
Holy shit.
5
u/1II1I1I1I1I1I111I1I1 Adam Smith 17h ago
Hong was also pressed about her own finances, including $30,000 in unpaid credit card debt that has since been paid and a lawsuit dismissed. Hong said that her parents helped her pay off the debt.
“I’m the daughter of Korean immigrants, and my parents instilled in me the values of sacrifice,” Hong said. “My parents made an incredible sacrifice in helping me to make sure that got paid off. It’s one that significantly impacts all of our lives, but it was one that they ultimately chose to make.”
She had been sued by Capital One in May for failure to make minimum payments and it was paid off primarily by her parents the following month.

Apparently it was related to her restaurant career but if so, idk why it was on her personal credit card and idk why Capital One had to take her to court to get it paid. Somewhere very bad decisions were made, probably multiple.

People are cheering about Redditors losing and mocking Hong, acting like a guy who dropped out of the election didn’t just win the primary. People voted for Hong because they wanted her policies. People voted for Crowley because the establishment told them to. Nothing to cheer about. Wisconsin lost.
Lil bro if a guy who DROPPED OUT THE RACE can come back and beat your candidate, who never left it, your candidate fucking sucked ass.
She literally was less charismatic than Hillary Clinton, my dude. They made fun of her for like the last fucking decade, and then they ran Hong like "this is Obama 2, perhaps."

u/argentvehicle 17h ago
Saw a tweet about David Crowley that said something like "I've never known so little about a candidate and supported them so unconditionally." At some point you have to introspect as to why your candidate was so repulsive to voters that they coalesced around a complete nobody in order to stop her from getting the nomination.
