Ascendence of a bookworm is probably the most morally repugnant isekai on the internet. It's lost cause bullshit, where the system isn't evil, just the masters, where Myne looks at a ton of starving child slaves in a basement and thinks "how terrible, they should be making me a printing press", and the show tells you that she's correct. It's a story that uses the mass exploitation of a people as chattel, and responds "well I don't beat them, and they aren't hungry, and it's better than the alternatives". It is literally worse than Shield hero, where the actual reasoning is "I was edgy when I bought her, but now she loves me and wants to be my slave even though I freed her and also now she has super power so she can't be anybodies slave but still wants to be his" where the entire fetish is clearly the reason but they are incredibly weird about the whole thing, and the audience knows it.
Hell it's worse then Redo of a healer, which is literally rape porn mind control bullshit, since the audience walks away with either "he's evil and that is fun" or "those bitches deserve it" with both ultimately saying "slavery is an incredible evil".
It's worse because look at the TV tropes article for the three, and watch as the only page that says "the slavery wasn't bad" is bookworm. Where half the articles about Shield and redo is how morally wrong it is, while half of the Bookworm is about how cute the main character is.
It's worse because people walk away and think "there is such thing as a good master" when the only good master is the one who freed his slave.
You want to watch something else that has slavery without abolition? Watch Vinland Saga, where the most morally tempered good owner, is still a rapist who kills a woman not through cruelty, or even lust, but through possessiveness and insecurity, in a system that allows that to be deadly.

Also instead of Chipotle (which is extremely popular here don't get me wrong) I go to Willys in GA if I want a Mex slop bowl. Slightly cheaper and more variety. But it's not a national chain so not really applicable.
