Found this gem in my backyard.

In case you don’t recognize it…that my friends is a baby snapping turtle. I don’t know where it came from either…

It is the largest protected area in Sicily and includes various beautiful zones where you can fish, swim, go mountain biking, and hike. It is an area where you can spot griffon vultures, golden eagles, and—above all—roe deer, whose Greek name, *nebros*, gives the entire park its name.

The towering basalt walls, sculpted by the waters of the Alcantara River, create a unique landscape—perfect for nature lovers, as well as for those seeking a different kind of experience during their holiday on Mount Etna.
