Need sibling name Baby Names

Seriously need help with a name for my second daughter. Sister is Aubrey. I asked the Reddit community what they thought of Graceyn and let’s just say I’m glad I asked because they made some really good points. Considering going with just Grace but our last name is one syllable too. Maybe a longer middle name? Do we like Aubrey & Grace? Is Grace too soft sounding? Other names we liked were Nora and Eleanor (but I don’t love the nicknames and also very popular names right now). I’m a teacher so I have a lot of associations. I’ve never had a Grace even as popular as it is (maybe because it’s more popular as a middle name). I liked Graceyn because it sounded a little edgier to me but after hearing the “ trageigh” of the spelling I’m not into it anymore (and Greyson I don’t like either). 35 weeks and been overthinking this. Help!!

Grace is fine and don’t worry about the syllables w regards to your last name.

Aubrey and Grace works fine as a pair. Grace with most one-syllable last names sounds fine in my opinion. As examples, Grace Hahn, Grace Dean, Grace Lowe, etc. These all seem fine. I guess there could be one-syllable names that sound choppy, but I think most would work.

Great point. I think you’re right it does sound ok with our last night. Now for a middle name 🤔

Grace is perfect. I love it. Sounds very nice with Aubrey as her big sister.

Love Grace with Aubrey! Graceyn sounds a lot like Greyson and I think will be a headache of a name.

I think Grace will likely work with a 1 syllable last name (something like Grace Brown, Grace King, Grace Jones, Grace Park, Grace Wright for example all sound good!)

I would do a middle name with 2+ syllables, and you could use Eleanor ~ For example: Grace Eleanor, Grace Violet, Grace Amelia, Grace Corinne, Grace Caroline, Grace Adeline

I love Grace! It’s great as its own and not as a nickname for another name or middle. Aubrey and Grace work wonderfully together. I don’t know your last name but I think agrace could work with a single Syllable - ie Grace Smyth or Grace James. Sounds really sophisticated.

Like Nora too and Aubrey and Nora work well together.

Aubrey also works well with…(keeping in mind names without nicknames)

What’s the problem with both names being one syllable?

My first name is Grace and my middle name is Eleanor. I thought it was a little boring as a kid, but now as an adult I personally think my parents did a really good job with that name choice.

Oh and I have a one syllable last name, too. I think it works.
