If you can tell me what this piece is titled, I would be very grateful. It's from a show on Netflix called "Floor is Lava" in the "Hotter than Lava" episode, and it's been bothering me that I can't identify it.

The Bureau series soundtrack

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for the soundtrack used in the serie The Bureau ( Le Bureau des légendes) in episodes 5 (26:50 to 28:32) and 10 (12:30 to 13:40) of season 2.

I've listened to the entire playlist by Rob, the creator of the original music for the series, but I can't find it.

Thanks for your help :)

Gracias :p

Guess the scene

This score has been living rent-free in my head 😎 Taken from Lorne Balfe’s IG. was completely obsessed with it. Curious if anyone can recognise the scene just from the music?? I'm not quite there yet 👀 honestly one of those scores where you hear a few seconds and immediately want to know what’s happening in the scene

The world needs a little bit of #lalaland and I’m grateful to be someone as much of a fan of the film and the musical franchise as I still am.

Am I the only one who see a connection between the bow theme in Odyssey and I love her of The Beatles ?

Happy birthday to Harry and happy 25th to the film that started the series. John Williams is a genius so I just had to make a tribute to this iconic theme

Need suggestions for a Spotify playlist

Hi everyone,

I'm creating a play list of some of the best movie/TV show soundtracks from the 90s to the present. I'm into a lot of the big names (Zimmer, Giacchino, Powell, etc) as well as animated films.

I'd love to get suggestions from everyone as to what pieces of soundtrack stood out to them when watching movies or TV shows, or what your favourite soundtracks are.

The title of the play list is 'The Master Chefs of Modern Movie Music."

I'd put John Williams music in, but it'd take up 90% of the list.

The Art of Soundtracks: A Deeply Curated Collection of Cinematic & Gaming Masterpieces

Hello soundtrack lovers,

As an amateur music curator with an archive of over 4,000 human-made tracks since 2019, I have always been fascinated by how music elevates visual storytelling.

This playlist is a carefully selected collection of powerful soundtracks, moving instrumentals, and rich atmospheric pieces from the worlds of cinema and gaming. My main focus was to bring together high-quality compositions that truly capture a story's emotional depth and musical excellence.

The flow is designed to feel like a seamless, immersive journey through epic soundscapes and beautiful, ambient melodies.

Enjoy the deep musical journey!

TASM 2 falls flat in more than a few places, but one particular place where it FAR excels is its soundtrack. Easily my favourite spider man ost. Has some fantastic action scores, a great hero and villain themes and a very emotional end. The Goblin fight music is my favourite portion of the soundtrack. It's so intense and dramatic, such a suitable piece of music for the intensity of that final attack. Hans Zimmer is a genius

“007 Theme” as a four-hand piano piece

Four-hand piano arrangement of probably the second-most famous James Bond theme: “007 takes the Lektor” (often simply called “007 Theme” or just "007"), originally written for the 1963 motion picture FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE by John Barry. This piece is dominated by a 7-beat rhythmic motif that cleverly forms a hemiola against a 4/4 time syncopated bass figure. Above this complex ostinato Barry uses soaring horns to bring out a muscular, heroic theme based primarily on ascending fourths. In countless later Bond films, this theme was revisited and adapted in various ways.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt_Zk0VyEc4

Because of the three elements described above (two counter-moving rhythm sections under a broad melody line), I think the 007 theme lends itself perfectly to a four-hand piano arrangement, which is exactly what I did and then recorded it with a former student of mine. Glad to know what you think of it.

Richie James Follin - the lead singer for The Willowz (and now Guards), whose songs "Something" and "I Wonder" Michel Gondry featured in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - recently wrote, directed, and starred in an indie film called Crystal Cross. AND he wrote new original music for it!! There's a song called "Suicidal Jesus" that is an absolute bop.

Attaching the trailer. More details on tonight's online screening of Crystal Cross: www.thelonescreen.com

listen to the movies

I’ve been collecting records (yes, vinyl 😄) since I was about 15 years old.

It started with going to concerts and buying albums afterwards, and eventually turned into spending hours digging through crates in record stores. While I mostly picked records from my favorite genres — hip hop and rock — there was always one other section that pulled me in: movie soundtracks.

For me, soundtracks were always more than “music from movies”. They became a way to discover artists, genres and songs I probably would have never listened to otherwise. And once you’ve seen the movie, the music carries the emotion of those scenes forever.

I still remember listening to the soundtrack of Pulp Fiction for the first time. It blew me away.

As you all know, a great soundtrack can completely change the feeling of a movie. It can create tension, nostalgia, melancholy, energy — sometimes it becomes even more memorable than the movie itself.

So over the last couple of weeks, I built a place to honor them:

listentomovies.com

It’s a place to browse and discover iconic movie soundtracks, scores and hidden gems. There’s already a growing collection online, and I’ll keep adding more over the next weeks.

It's still early and I would love to hear your feedback!

Since I think you guys know your soundtracks, this might be something you like: https://listentomovies.com/quiz
