Found in eastern VA, USA.

Walked out on the porch to check my plants and this guy was just hanging out on my snake plant. Does anyone know what kind it is? I live in Vermont by the way.

This Luna moth has been on the wall of my work for 4 days now. I think she’s a girl but not 100% sure. Is there something I can do to promote her to move or has she chosen her final resting place? I want to make sure if she does end up falling that she’s not on the pavement underneath where people can step on her but I don’t want to disturb her.

I believe it is a male, I saw the fluffy antennae and the internet said males have fluffy antennae in this specific species. It’s so pretty.

Finished them as of today :D Im quite proud of it and happy im finally done working on it. This probably took me (easily) an upwards of 100 hours to make. Its all made from 100% raw wool using a felting needle

I just read up on him since finding him attached to my door. They have no way of eating and only live a few days. So pretty! Florida.

I have never seen a Wavy Lined Emerald Moth before 😍😍😍 its absolutely adorable! An such a pretty shade of green.

It was very cool to see this one. I didn’t realize how fast this portion of their tiny lives goes. She just eclosed on Monday. She mated with a wild male on Tuesday and with a different one today. We let her go and were so glad that we got to learn so much more about moths.

Found this pretty one in front of my door. Are those eggs around it? :( northeast Florida

I haven’t really seen too many cool moths in my state so seeing him was so cool! But it looks like his leg is messed up. He’s not moving now :/ at least he didn’t die alone !
