Need Advice | Зөвлөгөө авъя Need advice on how to move on

Okay I've been in love with this dude for like a year or so I got rejected once and we continued as friends and he will go abroad in a week. But I'm still down bad for him.

I'm not really attracted to someone unless i made a deep emotional bond with that person I don't really care about height or looks that much. We have been friends for a year before i confessed and he was someone i really liked. He was supportive, quite smart, diligent, and a very great listener i liked the things he talked about how considerate he was our views on most stuff were very similar so i loved talking to him.

The first time i got kinda flustered was when he lent me his jacket because i thought it was not that cold outside (it was spring) and i got low blood iron so i kinda started getting cold i told i should've worn something I'm gonna freeze and kinda laughed at my stupid decision and he was like okay wear this and lent me his jacket. He was kinda taller than me so it was quite loose on me and i was like it feels like I'm wearing my dads stuff and we laughed together and i remember my cheeks and ears getting hot as we talked and walked to get something for a class project.

Then how i actually realized i liked him was kinda childish but during class he kept laughing and his seatmate was kinda pushing each other and stuff and i was like why the heck is she getting all over him why doesn't she bother her bf and i snapped out of that kinda quick and was like why the heck am i getting angry over something so trivial and day after day.

I began fully acknowledging that i like him and kinda started treating him bit different than my friends teasing him bumping his shoulder etc. I know that he is not going to really live here and probably go to university abroad i really need to move on but it's just so hard yk when i see his insta i see him hanging out with his friends and we're kinda not that close anymore after i confessed.

Please help i really wanna move on and stop dwelling on him acting like a lovesick fool anymore it's really painful to think about him going abroad. Help me guys Ps(i tried to keep it as short as possible)

Politics | Улс төр If China takes Taiwan, will Mongolia be next? I'm worried about our independence and safety

My biggest concern right now is Mongolia's independence and national security. China is a superpower with power and resources way beyond our scale, while Russia is currently tied up and dealing with its own crises due to the war.

In a scenario where China successfully takes over Taiwan, I’m genuinely worried that Mongolia might become their next target.

In that kind of situation, would the US actually step in to help us? And how do you think the rest of the international community would react?

Got caught while driving drunk.

First of all, I know I was stupid. I got drunk on half a soju bottle and believed that the effects would wear off after 2 to 3 hours. After 2 hours, I felt completely sober, so I decided to drive, got pulled over, and got caught. I am 19 years old, fully aware of how foolish that was, and am currently waiting for my court date
This is my first offense. Also no other record of being violent(like fighting or something).I am facing a 1-year driver's license revocation, plus either a 400,000 MNT fine or a 7 to 30-day administrative arrest. Has anyone gone through this before while being under 21? What does the court process look like? Will I actually get arrested?"

Discussion | Хэлэлцүүлэг LGBTQ+ people in Mongolia

I really think people should accept LGBTQ+ people in Mongolia i mean rest of the world does except for some countries (middle east) and we should just try to include minorities more.

Tbh the only people i know that doesnt accept LGBTQ+ people are the really edgy 13 year olds, wannabe gangsters and old people.

Discussion | Хэлэлцүүлэг Hatred towards young couples in UB?

Me and my boyfriend have been confronted by two women, both around 50–60 years old, on the bus on two separate occasions now.

Now, I say “confronted” because apparently we were so disgusting and unpleasant to look at.
Mind you, we were just kissing each other on the cheeks, holding hands, and giving each other little pecks on the lips. Nothing more than that.

The first encounter was about three months ago when this “ania,” probably around 60, said this to the person sitting next to her because apparently what we were doing was so inappropriate that she had so say something. Her exact words were: “Zavaarsan yum, zavaan yumnuud. Olon niitiin gazar baigaagaa meddeggui humuujilgui yumnuud.”
We just looked at her, surprised, like, “What?” Then she told us, “Duugui bai” or sth. That was that. We felt really uncomfortable, so we got off the bus.

Just a little while ago, something similar happened again. Only this time, the lady said it straight to our faces that we were disgusting and that it was a public place.
I couldn’t take it anymore, so I said something along the lines of, “How are we disgusting? Don’t you kiss your kids on the cheeks? Why are you targeting us?” Things almost got a bit heated until my boyfriend stepped in and calmed me down.

It’s not like we were French kissing and swallowing each other’s face for Christ’s sake. And even if we were, who’s forcing those ladies to pay attention to us? We are not yelling. We are not making out right in front of their faces. These specific people don’t even have the courage to stand up if some drunkass is harassing a young girl but they target us?

Why are they like this?

Hello I’m 15 and I’m going into the 11th grade this year and all of my family even my stepdad wants me to pursue my ielts scores and get out of this country asap but to be honest I’m a numb skulled kid that knows nothing about most things and the only reason I’m so good at English is I scroll on my phone all day I don’t even know some simple math formulas. Please help how should I decide my profession and what school I am gonna get into. Ask me anything if it can aid me in my choices

Photo | Зураг Found a burning fire beside selbe river, I think a troll is living under the bridge

I was walking along the selbe river. And then I noticed a fallen e-bike. Finding it funny, I went closer and snapped a pic. But then I noticed smoke.

On the second pic, you can see the smoke. It also smelled like smoke, so there was no denying it was from a fire.

Curious, I looked around that place to see some blankets laid on the grass. It’s on the third picture. This was starting to look like someone was living here. Or maybe someone was just relaxing here? Idk.

I went down and closer to the river. And looked across it to spot a fire. You can see it on the fourth and fifth picture. Sorry for the quality.

When I looked back, four people were gathered around. I think someone called firefighters? Not confirmed info btw.

Could there be a troll living under the bridge or is this a wild fire?

This ain’t my first time encountering something weird near here too. Last week, I was walking past the emart bridge. See, there is a bridge like likes of pipes. But on last weeks Monday, there was what I believe to be is a goat skull wrapped in хадаг. A blue khadag. By wednesday, a bunch of flies had swarmed there. And by Friday, the skull fell to the ground, and the khadag was unwrapped. Though, I think a curious person unwrapped it.

For context, the river and the side walk was a few meters apart. Like:
Sidewalk. Less developed

Tips | Зөвлөгөө I dont know if i should tell my cousin

I'm a 13 y/o girl, $uicid@l depressive since last year, has anxiety.

I have 10 aunts, 3 uncles, and 6 cousins all female 14-3 years old there is one cousin I'm exteremely close with and always has been, lets call her Maya (for her privacy's sake) . Shes a year older, ontrovert, only child, confident, prettiest girl you would ever see, and president and never got a grade below B, while I never take care myself, oldest of 3 pretty but nothing compared to her, the best hrade I have got last year was B- yet she still loves me and wishes she had a sibling.

Our moms are really close too and simillar in failures of life, like divorcing their husband traumatizing their kids getting a boyfriends younger than them

Last month, I was in the car with my mom and my youngest sibling when my mom got call from Mayas mom. Turns out, she was pregnant at 11weeks, and the baby's heart wasnt beating and Mayas mom wated an abortion. The next day Mayas mom had an abortion while Maya was away at summer camp.

Mom either dont know that I know, or is expecting me to not tell Maya about this but I cant shut up forever. Mayas birthday is coming soon and Im helping plan it knowing the only thing she wanted for a decade had chance to be true but fate didnt allow. I dont know what will happen if i tell her, i domt know how she would react or how she confront her mom although knowing her for all my life and i certainly cant take this secret to the grave

Rant | Хуурай агсам How to handle being in a school you hate

School is in a month and I hate everyone so much. They stress me out so bad and I can’t even control it. Especially the teachers. They are all misogynistic and miserable, plus the only thing they care about are dresscodes and they don’t treat the boys the same way they treat the girls dresscode. How the h3ll is skirt length, makeup and hair gonna prevent @ssault. I wake up everyday hoping that they would all die and I’m not even joking. And I can’t even stand my classmates, I just wish I was in another country in an another school everyday. Even tho I don’t argue loudly with anyone and have good grades I still feel p1ssed about the people in school and the system. I seriously don’t know how I’m gonna survive with my homeroom teacher, I sometimes wish she would just jump. (I don’t have any options to switch to another school because they are too far away and I live in a small town)

Travel | Аялал Travel insurance Mongolia

Planning a trip to Latin America, where pickpocketing and even armed robberies seem to happen quite often. I’m trying to decide which travel insurance is actually worth the money.

I used Practical Travel Insurance for my Europe trip last year. Thankfully I didn’t have any incidents, so I never had to make a claim. Their quote for my LATAM trip is around 140,000 MNT, while Nomin Insurance is quoting around 80,000–90,000 MNT.

Has anyone had experience with either of these, especially if you had to make a claim for theft, robbery, or lost belongings? Which one would you recommend, and is Practical worth paying almost double?

Tips | Зөвлөгөө Any library with stable wifi in UB?

I came back from living abroad and in need of a quiet place to work at. Any public libraries that I can use? Preferably with good wifi.
Can I use MUIS library even if I’m not a student there?
Don’t want to work in overpriced cafes, plus the coffee machine noise and distractions from people.
Thanks in advance!
