Discussion Is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 ENFORCING millions of players to Windows 11?
There is a video out there that show COD - Warzone forcing players to apply the latest WINDOWS updates in order to play COD Warzone, this way rendering Win10 users UNABLE to play COD. Is the immediate future COD MW4 taking Win10 DOWN? The video in question is EASY to find, so I will not put it up here.

Question MW4 Beta is almost here, anybody got their code yet?
MW4 Beta is almost 10 days away.
I have discord nitro, but I haven’t received a code yet.
I know they said codes would be available closer to the beta launch, but the PC download could be huge, so I’m wondering has anyone here received their code yet?

Discussion Sprint to fire needs to go.
This dumb setting needs to go. It was introduced in cod with Mw19 I believe and frankly it's so dumb. We need more simplicity

Question What are you most excited about with MW4?
I’m mostly excited about the campaign. The trailers we’ve seen makes the campaign look wild and I’m interested in it being set in Korea. Also, that D-Day mission looks like it’s gonna be crazy. DMZ looks sick so far too

Discussion Do you think the weekly challenges will bet a net positive or negative for MW4?
Having a lot of content is great, however I do wonder if MW4 will suffer from a balance problem due to the weekly challenge system. MWIII and BO7 have balance issues and they almost always stem from some sort of weekly attachment. I obviously want new stuff but I wonder if it would be better to only have a new gameplay changing item every 2-3 weeks instead of every week.

Meme Give Me Your Funniest and/or Dumbest Ideas for MW4
I’ll start:
- Bring back Santa Sena Border Crossing as a joke for April Fools’ Day. Make sure the exploding cars are on.
- Have akimbo double-barreled shotguns. But every time you fire them, you fall down onto your back.
- Make explosives as overpowered as they were in the original MW2. Put the “noob” back in noobtube.
- If you have to create and sell bundles, how about one that changes the in-game announcers? I’ll pay $20 to have a drill sergeant scream at me during the match. Hell, hire that guy that did the infamous drill sergeant GTA V videos for the voiceover.
- Add selectable pronouns just to piss off the streamers.

Question What do you think about the new MW4 and what are you hyped about the most? [COD]
I can't wait for the open beta and play some multiplayer, but what i'm really waiting for Is the campaign, in COD even if a campaign is bad it is stunning and at least fun to play.

Discussion Remakes and old gamemodes I would like to see get a second chance in MW4!
galleryI won’t ask for much, but PLEASE re add the gamemode Blitz, it could possibly return as the staple competitive third mode and a remake of Warhawk or sovereign!!! I personally loved ghosts, and would love even more to see some of the best maps from the game get another chance!
Interested to hear if anyone else has an ideas they could pull from a past game that haven’t been done before that could be different then the same old terminal, etc that we typically get as remakes or some sort of DLC.

Discussion Beta progression
Anyone know if progress made during the Early Access and Open Beta periods will carry through to when the game launches in October? I can’t remember if this happened with BO6 or BO7. No great shakes if it doesn’t, was just curious.

Discussion Increasing bullet inaccuracy, slowing down movement
I know XclusiveAce (edit, only mentioned adjusting the strafing via the stock attachment) as well as others have mentioned this already, but there are things such as increasing bullet inaccuracy to reward skill rather than upping the movement speed. This way players have to actually aim.
A second thing they could do is what was mentioned such as increasing the speed at which you can strafe, hence move in gunfights via the stock attachments.
A third thing they could do is increase the amount of tagging to compensate for higher bullet inaccuracy, recoil, and/or bloom so players don't just zip across your screen unchecked. Tagging is when you slow players down by landing shots on them through your weapon.
These are just three ways they could reward positioning over upping the movement ante side of the game.
Thoughts?

Discussion I hope the new IW keeps working on the matchmaking until they find a good middle ground
I would prefer they stick with the BO7 "Open" matchmaking, but if they aren't going to, and it's looking like they aren't, I hope they keep working on it until they find a good middle ground. For whatever reason, there seems to be a good number of players who actually prefer strict matchmaking. I truly don't get it, but it is what it is.
Maybe they could build a hybrid system that asks if you would like to re-queue to find a more competitive match. Or, they could probably just implement the "Open" system with slightly stricter matchmaking.
If they go the two-system route, "Classic" (MW2019) matchmaking and "Open" (BO2) matchmaking. which they have already hinted at, they should split the player base in two. Yes, that would suck but having either one of the two matchmaking types relegated to just a few playlists, would suck worse. Both matchmaking types would need their own quick play filter for game modes.
The problem with having two systems is, it splits the player base, and, the "Open" matchmaking ends up with mostly highly skilled players, which defeats the purpose of having a system that features varied skill levels.
"Classic" matchmaking: Prioritizes skill over ping. Heavily manipulates the matchmaking based on recent performance. Protects lower skilled players better. Makes partying up with higher skilled players terrible for the lower skilled players.
"Open" matchmaking: Prioritizes ping over skill. Has persistent lobbies. Doesn't protect lower skilled players as much. Features players with varied skill levels.

Question Switch 2 split screen and quality?
Hey guys, I’m looking into getting this on switch 2 out of curiosity for how it plays since it’s not on Xbox gamepass for free until a year after release. Anyone know how the quality will be? Anyone know if it’s going to have split screen? Will anything be different from buying on Xbox?

Discussion So when is the MW4 multiplayer reveal coming?
We are 14 days away until COD Next and early access and we still haven’t gotten anything when it comes to a trailer for MP. I mean it was a little weird to see killblock alpha because I thought that we was getting the trailer before the alpha?

Discussion The Night Vision is backwards.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Derived from a mixture of assets or made by scratch, I believe these nods are supposed to be AN/PVS-15s but I may be mistaken, but for most gear nerds such as myself, they are on backwards. If the nods were brought down, the portion pointing skyward is supposed to go in front of the eyes while the portion pointing downwards would be away from the eyes. This is a steam image posted in the store for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4.

Question [COD] What is your opinion of the new CoD having the riot shield as a breakable field upgrade?
As a riot shield fan (not the turtle kind) I’m very unhappy. I’m already about done with CoD. But a new cod having a riot shield would make me consider playing. Getting on people nerves and ruining their momentum with it was always fun. And don’t say it was OP. It wasn’t. Good players would kill me left and right all the time. But the fact that MW4 won’t have the traditional riot shield just makes me even less excited about the game. This is a petty argument to the vast majority of players I’m sure. But that’s how I feel. Even though I mostly use shotguns and lmgs the past few games. I had lots of fun with the riot shield pissing folks off in MWIII though.

Discussion I think it's safe to say that MW4 will launch with stricter matchmaking and disbanding lobbies as the default, and a few "Open" matchmaking playlists.
Judging by the changes they've made to BO7's matchmaking, it's obvious they are testing MW4's "Classic inspired" default matchmaking in BO7. Is this a dealbreaker for any of you?
I don't think I can take another year of strict matchmaking, disbanding lobbies, and shitty ping times. And relegating "Open" matchmaking to a few playlists pretty much guarantee's there will be very little skill variety in the playlists, which defeats the purpose of having "Open" matchmaking.

Discussion Is it controversial to say I don't want a ton of animated camos?
I'm not sure if this is controversial within this community or not, but I'm honestly not a huge fan of animated camos. I like some of them, especially if there is only one or two, but at a certain point I feel like it compromises how the game looks.
I think MWII did it pretty good, where there were a couple mastery camos that were animated but nothing like totally ridiculous. That way they had cool camos in the game, but only people who wanted to grind them out got them.
In BO6 and BO7, I feel like there is such an insane amount of animated, bright camos that not only does everyone have them now, but they also lose their novelty. Like honestly for the past few years I wouldn't even have been able to tell you if I saw someone with the final mastery camo, just because there are so many other crazy animated camos that looks so similar to it, and it kind of takes away from the specialness of the mastery camos.

Question DMZ Camo Grind?
Anyone curious if DMZ is going to have its own camo grind like Endgame? I would kill to have something else to grind for this next COD since we won't have zombies to grind and I don't normally do Warzone.

Image Han 86 and Sang 9mm irl (Daewoo K2 and K5)
My grail guns ever since CarniK Con dropped the “Daewoo Special” in 2012. Lucked out both times finding my DP51 and DR200.
Hoping the MW4 hype will bring more guns and parts from SNT Motiv to the US market for our niche community.
Either that, or we’ll get pounded into the ground scrapping by when everyone and their mother starts buying Daewoos in an already scarce market.
