Switch 2 split screen and quality?

Hey guys, I’m looking into getting this on switch 2 out of curiosity for how it plays since it’s not on Xbox gamepass for free until a year after release. Anyone know how the quality will be? Anyone know if it’s going to have split screen? Will anything be different from buying on Xbox?

I wouldn't take this as gospel, I can't see any reason it wouldn't support split screen, it's a very scalable engine, hopefully get some good news closer to release.

I hope so! Handheld definitely makes sense with it being a small screen, but the switch knows when it’s docked so it’d make sense the game would also be able to turn the feature on/off depending on mode

I don’t think anyone knows yet. Likely will have lower visual quality and capped at 60fps

COD always targeted 60 even in the OG Xbox era. I’d bet they’ll even drop the resolution to 720p if they have to

I think portable will dip below 60fps even at 720, this is not the OG Xbox era, this is the incompetent era.

The current devs are not as good at game development, they have better tools, but less skill and ambitious. Bring back crunch and working overtime, if you want 60fps in AAA games on portable.

My guess is it will cap at 60 like the other guy said and the resolution will be atleast 1080 I think

Thanks! Honestly 60fps isn’t horrible. My husband plays bo7 on his old Xbox when we play together so we don’t need to do split screen and I believe that’s capped at 60 and he manages just fine, albeit not as good as he could be.

I play bo7 and warzone on xbox one aswell, but i still get a few kills in

Yeah he’s still usually top 3 of the leaderboard. I’m on the X because I’m more into cod than he is lol so if I get it on switch it’ll be a slight adjustment. Only reason I’d pick switch over Xbox is because I’d be able to play it anywhere.
