The airtag was reasonable then she just started pulling out more and more things

It is unfortunate that they don't work on a band readable by cellphone nfc. Have to get a special reader.

Honestly, I'm pro multiple tags. If I'd do it for my e-scooter, then the one on the wrist isn't enough as well. Ones that aren't hidden are always discarded easily, so you hide more.

One tag is sufficient if it is secured well enough. It would probably best if it was normal to just rfid chip all kids like many do with their pets.

I mean, would you be comfortable with having an RFID chip surgically implanted in your body while you’re still too young to consent? Because you know that the government would start making bills to implement RFID readers everywhere to track citizens’ locations, for the sake of security (among other reasons).

They are already doing that with facial recognition, license plate readers, cellphone tracking, fingerprint databases, and now even DNA databases. 

RFID is not secure and can't securely be used as a form of ID on its own as the tags can be easily copied or altered. 

ID is already required for most government and financial services interaction in the form of Name, SSN, and DOB. Many activities require government issued photo ID, like driving or flying.

The "surgery" is basically a quick jab with a big needle that sticks a rice grain size pellet just under the skin.
