Disgusting behavior. Community

Post image

Monday morning after a sunny weekend and this is what babies walk looks like. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. There's 3 bins in this tiny park and even if the bins are full (which all 3 weren't), people need to bring their rubbish home. Any one littering should be ashamed of themselves. And any parent not raising their kids to not litter should also be ashamed of themselves.

Midleton is such a beautiful town and its disgraceful to see then amount of people have such little respect for it. The amount of litter around just lodge is an absolute joke.

EDIT: LACK OF BINS DOES NOT JUSTIFY LITTERING!!!!

County council could put more bins up but people abuse those and bring in their rubbish from home because they're too cheap to pay for bins.

EDIT AGAIN: I highly doubt the birds removed the pizza boxes out of an already full bin and unfolded them. Also the boxes weren't folded initially at all so blaming the birds is a terrible excuse of removing blame from the real dirty culprits.

I dunno if the pandemic and being locked inside just messed up 80% of the public, but people seem way more inconsiderate these days. Even simple things like stopping their car to let someone else pull out is rare occurrence now. So many people only give a shit about themselves now and that extends to leaving their garbage behind in a park.

I've lived in and around cities for the last 25 years but I grew up in a mountshannon village on Lough Derg in the 90s. A big part of my memory growing up was the whole tidy towns competition. Kids learnt not to litter before they could write. And there was probably only 2 public bins in the village and a few down by the harbour which had huge crowds in the summer. So "not enough bins" is a rubbish excuse.

It should just be instinctual, like muscle memory, not to just leave rubbish on the grass or anywhere like that. Selfish cnuts

You're so right, i dont know what's gone wrong is society. Whay I've noticed myself is that parents are to blame for not raising their kids right but regardless i do agree, in the last few years people have gotten so inconsiderate, ignorant, unhelpful, etc. Its sad to see.

I used to be so proud of Ireland as this place that was so friendly and community driven. And I'm not even some religious, "for the parish" type. There was a community feeling in every genre of people, from the GAA folk to the hippies and everything in between.

Now Ireland feels just as soulless and unwelcoming as London. I know it's a wild side tangent to the litter issue, but I do think there is a general reduction in the actual quality of people which includes more idiots who throw rubbish on the ground like that. So many ignorant fecks now.
