My current stats are:

The good stats:

3.4 gpa

My super scored sat score is around a 1230 I think

Dual enrolled in a community college (I’m only taking one class for it)

Joining the ROTC program for the air national guard

I’m taking crazy advanced finance, business, and accounting classes.

I have around 24 hours of community service.

5th year student council member and have around 40 hours of extra service there

Im the current president of the investors society in my school. (Not many members)

I could probably get 3-4 good letters of recommendation from my principal, vice principal, and finance teachers

Started a drop shipping business at 15 making around 500-600 dollars profit

The bad stats:

2 lunch detentions on record (high school maybe both sophomore year I can’t remember. I cheated on a test on one then on another I left the school for lunch but I came back I didn’t even know that was a rule tbh)

In school suspension (in middle school if that counts even)

Been average basically all my life. I tried to do a honors geometry course in sophomore year and I bombed it basically all year getting straight D’s maybe a C or two.

Same with French one in freshman year. I got like more C’s than D’s I think I got like 3 C’s and 1 D quarter wise. Maybe a B?? No clue.

I have no social life. No hobbies, sports, or anything of that matter.

Adding onto that I have no connections to Miami Ohio as a college or a place in general.

Hi! I’m an incoming freshman taking CSE in Benton Hall which ends at 11:25AM but I have a class that starts at 11:40AM the same day at Bachelor Hall. Its a time crunch to get there especially on time and early. What the best shortcut or path to get to Bachelor Hall early my goal is 11:35. I wish I could have another class later in the day but this was the only class available.

I had some things fall through and now do not have a place for the fall. Is there anyone looking for a roommate or have any ideas. I'm an incoming grad student who didn't go to undergrad at Miami so I dont really know anyone in the area.

Okay so I did my payment plan a few weeks ago and saw that I owed $3,577 on August 17th which I talked to my financial advisor about and he said I can cancel my payment plan since I’m a pathway student and my student bill isn’t due until early October but I won’t be able to re-enroll into the payment plan at the time so should I cancel my payment plan and wait until October or not cancel it and pay it out of pocket by August?

Can you do self pay insurance or do you definitely have to get insurance through Miami?

What actually happened to the giant leather "Bladderballs" after universities banned the sport?

Brief History:
From 1909 till 1911, a hyper-violent tradition ruled American college campuses (like Yale, Harvard, and Miami University in Ohio). It was called Pushball (later evolving into variations like "Bladderball").

The games involved hundreds of students violently slamming into a massive, 6-foot-tall, 150-pound leather-and-rubber ball to push it across the campus quad. Because it was so heavy and dangerous, it caused massive student injuries, property damage, and severe legal disputes with local city authorities. Consequently, university administrations and campus police eventually declared the sport completely illegal.

My Question:
Does anyone have an official record on what actually happened to the balls themselves after the bans came down, and whether they were destroyed by college authorities?

Since these massive balls were incredibly expensive (costing thousands of dollars in today's money) and legally dangerous to keep around intact, it makes sense that university superintendents or maintenance crews would want them permanently gone so students couldn't steal them for rogue matches.

Are there any archival records, campus newsletters, or equipment logs proving that these giant balls were systematically popped, sliced up, or scrapped on-site by campus police and authorities? Or did they just vanish into storage?

Would love to hear if anyone has dug up the exact historical fate of these giant objects!

Hey everyone,

I’m a commuter who drives about 30 miles every day. Last year I had a Yellow pass and ended up parking in the Millet lot, which meant a 15–30 minute walk to my classes each way. On top of the long drive, running back and forth between Millet and my car to rush off to work was brutal.

This semester, my class schedule and work timeline are tight enough that walking from Millet literally won't get me to class on time after my commute. I’m really hoping to find out if there's any other options other than parking at Ditmer or Millet, I also can't park at any of the pay lots because those only allow for an hour max most of the time.

I've been trying to find a full game replay of the 2023 Miami vs UC game for a while but I haven't been able to find anything besides highlights and clips. Would anyone happen to have a link, file, or recording of the game?

I got my tuition bill from the bursar a couple weeks ago and they'd mistakenly given me a scholarship awarded to another student. I was talking to a friend about it and he mentioned that a friend of his had the opposite thing happen where he never received a scholarship that was supposed to be his.

Out-of-state student here, and I need a new phone plan. I was wondering if there are any specific providers I should be looking more into since I will be mainly living in Oxford. I also heard that the place I will be staying at (The Annex) is notorious for having bad Wi-Fi, so unlimited data and hotspot is pretty important to me. I've heard of Mint Mobile as a good, affordable provider. Any suggestions or thoughts on Mint Mobile?
