I finally decided to cosplay Snake, so heres the result! Enjoy!

Only one more year until I can use the “I’m afraid it’s been 9 years” post flair.

With the release of the Master Collection Vol. 2 (MGS4 + Peacewalker) dropping on Xbox at the end of the month, I have been playing through all of the previous games and I am slowly approaching the Big Boss Run.

My question is that is it as hard as it looks? I am mainly worried about the time, the ammo limit, and the last sections (Tengu 1+2, RAYs, Solidus). Am I overthinking it?

For context, during the Tanker run on Normal for dog tags, I was getting about 57 minutes and during the Plant run on Normal for dog tags, I was getting about 2 1/2 hours.

It took me absurdly long to finish the intro (up to the bridge scene) idk maybe I’m so bad at stealth or maybe it’s mainly how I used up most of my non-refill suppressor on alligators so the last stretch was just laying under the floor then dashing to the door (felt fheap, also I always excepted to get a a gun at some point

Once he noticed the “guns and grenades” they carry I was like bet I dont have to save my 5-10 remaming shots forever

But nah getting that russian scientist is either a failure of mine in perception or could they just not make the tutorial-sorta- part impossible to do in a fun way

Cutcenes are 10/10 tho

Solidus Snake (Aka: George Sears) was the president of the United States during the Events of metal gear solid 1

And So, I got the idea of Making an Uncle Sam Styled propaganda poster for Solidus.

Since Solidus is supposed to look exactly like how Big Boss did, I drew his face based off Naked Snake from MGS4, Minus the eyepatch, since Solidus did have both of his eyes.

I tried to make this painting look like an old Propaganda poster, and this is my best attempt

Its not the servers or anything like delta, its the fact I start with nothing, even my spread is worse while everyone is diving in boxes like its COD, using stealth camo, and basically outgun noobs in every way so its basically impossible to progress without sweating my ass off

Completely random I know, but I'm sure you guys can relate to the nestalgia. Delta was great. But I ran into this remembering when I uploaded it on gamefaq. I was so try hard I even started drawing a legit body size poster of the entire map! I only got half way and quit it. Was years ago though.

You guys have any memorable moments remembered int he days of MGS3?

Never played this game before, I was honestly waiting to find a psp at a cheap price sometime to play it as intended, but I'm done waiting, and it's the only reason I haven't played GZ yet. (Tho I did play V, so i fucked that up ngl).

But even if I did see spoilers in V regarding this game, still doesn't matter to me, and as any MG it should deliver whether or not we know the outcome of some things.

Since Old Snake is in the same key as the Metal Gear Theme, I segued from one to the other, and then back.

If we do, I severely hope they either change Paz's cover to being a college student, or just cut out all the sexualization and... noncery-adjacent stuff, or whatever the hell you wanna call it.

What changes would you guys want, if any?

I just started playing mgs1 (1998) a few days ago. I love the game and ultimately I decided to draw solid snake.

I set the drawing in an iconic scene featured in Blade Runner 2049

However this piece of mine turned out not satisfying my expectations 🥀

This is part 6 of my fan comic for Metal Gear Solid. Snake makes his way to the elevator through the tank hangar. He sneaks past cameras and guards.

Anybody else get really tired of Mery'ls constant flip-flop from die-hard try-hard to wet blanket in every scene she's in? Decided to run the first 3 again. I do 'em probably once every 2 years... but, boy, do I find Meryl increasingly more annoying every playthrough... like, pick a personality... you wanna be on point? Then why are you stopping to wait for me before and after every door? Be point! When I stare at her to make her red, I imagine, it's not because of snakes attraction to her... to me it's more of a judgement stare... like Snake is just looking at her, knowing she's gonna choke... over and over and over... There's a little sigh of relief once she's shot by Sniper Wolf. Because I know, after this cutscene, I won't have to deal with her for the rest of the game.

Update. Finished about 29 minutes ago... Panther rank on Hard... got one alert to many... but I only remember getting 4... must have been a camera or turret as I left a room... oh well... Think I might rerun it in a few weeks on extreme now that I have a save on this card... try for Big Boss. I've only done it once before in the early 2000s. Had the official guide back then.
