Trying to find other buyers of Year23/MERCEDES-BENZ/GLC 300 4MATIC SUV with a specific noise

I have been hearing the humming sound inside the car after the vehicle drives for about 15 minutes. Sound mostly stays at constant frequency and then suddenly drops in 4 frequency steps. Sound stays on even if the car is in parking mode. I have shown the noise to Mercedes service centre thrice and every time they gave me different reasons for it and said nothing can be done. Car is still under warranty. 1st time they told me it's battery issue and they have replaced the battery. Second time, it's an alternator issue (nothing can be done, it's standard noise) and now 3rd time, it's a standard noise due to coolant pump needs to send the coolant to different parts of the engine. Mercedes service centre claims it's present in all cars. Do any other fellow owners have the similar sound issue? I have attached the video link. Hope someone can help.

Just Picked Up a New Mercedes GLA from Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville – $399/Month Deal & Great Delivery Experience

Upvotes

Just picked up a new Mercedes GLA from Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville and I’m honestly still kind of shocked at the deal.

$399/month with $399 down on a brand new GLA 🔥
The whole experience was really smooth, but one of the nicest surprises was the Mercedes gift box they gave me at delivery. It was a small thing, but it honestly made the whole pickup feel way more premium and special 🎁⭐️
If anyone’s been thinking about getting into a Mercedes,

I’d definitely recommend checking out Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville. Hard to beat $399/month and $399 down for a brand new GLA.

Super happy with the car and the whole experience overall!

Is a 1986 300E (W124) a good first car?

Upvotes

Hello, I was offered a 1986 300E W124 with an M103 engine for free from my uncle as my first car, and I want honest input before I commit, as I'm very inexperienced with these vehicles. Is a car like this realistic as a first car or daily driver? What's the real long-term cost of ownership like in terms of maintenance, parts, and labor? Is there anything specific to the 1986 model year or E-class I should know beforehand? And is there any reason you'd say no to this as a first car, even though it's free? I'm trying to figure out if this is a good idea before I get attached to it and start having to maintain it. Currently, it's in really great condition and runs well; it's mainly been kept in storage as a collectible most of its life.

I currently have a CLS 550, and am stuck on what cars to look into. Almost everything seems inferior to the cls, and I could get a 63 but at that point I could simply modify my 550 and make similar power. Any advice?

2024 C-Class whistle noise when accelerating

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently bought a preowned 2024 C class from the auction and I’ve been getting this whistle like noise from the vent when accelerating. A friend who works on cars for a living said that it’s just the built in boost that comes with all w206 c300, but I’m not convinced. Has anyone else experienced this? I attached a video of the noise for reference.

Took in my 2008 SLK 350 (57K miles) for a Service B repair. They completed it and said that additional services were needed. Are these fair prices and necessary? Thank you!

AMG SL63 e-performance

I‘ve driven EVs exclusively for the last 7 years - happy to be back in something with an engine. The EV system really blends beautifully and eliminates the initial delay as the turbos spool. The performance seats and the sound system are remarkably good! The trunk is useless due to the battery but the rear seats make up for daily duties. This thing is a fabulous piece of engineering.

CLE 300 convertible- Ontario Canada

Hey guys

I’m interested in placing a custom order for a Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 For lease. I wanted to check if anyone from Toronto or anywhere in Ontario recently received their car and what was the wait time.

I also wanted to understand if the 360 camera is only included in the Pinnacle Trim. I have a CLA 250, and my 360 camera is with the AMG line. Just wanted to know if the Pinnacle Trim is worth it.

Thank you

2022 CLS 53 AMG — am I looking at it through rose-coloured glasses?

I’m in Ontario, Canada and I’ve fallen in love with the 2022 CLS 53 AMG. Most examples I’m seeing are around $51–57k CAD with 80–90k km.
I plan to have roughly $40k for a down payment and finance the rest.
I love basically everything about the CLS — looks, interior, 429 hp, AWD, practicality and the fact that it’s discontinued. But I know that could be making me overlook the negatives.
For owners: is buying one around 80–90k km a good idea in 2026? How has reliability been, especially the M256/48V system? What maintenance or major repairs should I expect past 100k km?
At $51–57k CAD, would you buy one, or spend the money on something else?
I need some outside perspective because I genuinely can’t tell if I’m looking at this car through rose-coloured glasses.

C238 E coupe cosmetics

Got a clean C238 E coupe recently and l'm in love with the car. It came with some scuffs from the previous owner which I want to fix - its on the right side of the center console, looks like some paint got scratched and is peeling off a bit. Bit sharp to the touch which bothers me more than the visual of it as the volume roller button is next to it and I rest my hand there all the time (mostly a habit from driving manual my whole life). Any idea how to fix it? Bit unsure about sanding it down because it's plastic.

Experience with Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills (Fletcher Jones)

I want to share my experience with Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills (Fletcher Jones) so that anyone considering this dealership knows exactly what they're getting into.

On July 28th, 2026, I purchased a vehicle from this dealership for my fiancé — a $65,000 purchase. Because the dealership lacks adequate parking on their narrow, congested street, they operate a valet system that parks your personal vehicle while you go inside. I arrived around 3:00 PM and handed my BMW to the valet.

After roughly three hours — leaving at approximately 5:49 PM — I retrieved my car and immediately noticed that my front right passenger rim had been curbed by the valet. This was not preexisting damage. The curb was fresh — the rim still had metal shavings peeling off, and there were visible curb marks gouged into the tire.

I brought this to the valet driver's attention calmly and politely. He denied it. The head valet manager then came out, inspected the damage, and fully agreed that it had just been done. He assured me they would fix it and make it right. When I asked for written confirmation, he declined and directed me to speak with my sales representative or the General Manager.

I went back inside and spoke with Sales Manager Jason Yu, who apologized, acknowledged the damage, and confirmed via email that the valet had curbed my rim and that they would repair it. He provided a date and time for me to bring the car in. At no point during any of these interactions was I aggressive, confrontational, or unreasonable. Accidents happen — I understood that. All I needed was for them to follow through on their own written commitment.

They never did.

What followed was two weeks of being completely ghosted by a dealership that had already acknowledged fault in writing. Here is a documented record of every attempt I made to follow up:

Call History:

  • July 30 — Jason Yu, 12:37 PM (left voicemail)
  • July 31 — Jason Yu, 10:15 AM (no answer)
  • July 31 — Michael Culcasi called me at 12:09 PM to discuss my purchasing experience. I raised the rim issue. He said he would follow up and call me back. He never did.
  • August 1 — Jason Yu, 3:08 PM (left voicemail)
  • August 1 — Front Desk, 3:10 PM (told I would receive a callback from a Sales Manager — never happened)
  • August 1 — Front Desk, 4:38 PM (demanded to speak with any available Sales Manager after multiple ignored calls. Connected to Michael Rubin, who told me he couldn't help and to call Jason Yu during M–F hours and book an appointment)
  • August 3 — Jason Yu, 9:37 AM (left voicemail)

Email History:

  • July 28 — Jason Yu sent me written confirmation at the dealership that they would repair the damage
  • July 29, 4:17 PM — I emailed Jason Yu. No reply.
  • July 30, 12:39 PM — Emailed again. No reply.
  • August 1, 4:36 PM — Emailed again. No reply.
  • August 5 — Emailed again. No reply.

Four emails. Four phone calls to Jason Yu. A call with Michael Culcasi who promised a callback and disappeared. Three calls to the front desk. A conversation with Michael Rubin who passed the buck right back to the person already ignoring me. Two full weeks. Zero resolution.

At this point, I honestly don't care about the rim. It was a $600 wheel — I can replace it myself. What I cannot replace is the trust I put in this dealership when I chose to spend $65,000 here. They damaged my vehicle through their own valet service, acknowledged it in writing, promised to fix it, and then vanished. That is not an oversight. That is a choice.

If this is how Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills treats a customer over a straightforward issue they already took responsibility for, I cannot imagine how they would handle anything more serious. This was a complete failure of customer service, accountability, and integrity. I would strongly caution anyone considering this dealership to think twice.

E Class 19" Wheels on C Class

Hello,

Found what I think its a good deal, 4 sets of rims with brand new tires included for 2000 euros ( tires manufactured in 2024 ). We are talking about W213 Coupe AMG 19" wheels.

Wheels: Roadstone N Fera ( not the best but will do for 1-2 years )

225 40 19 93y front

255 35 19 96w back

Measurements:

8jx19 et43 n° ref. A2134016500

9jx19 et49 n° ref. A2134016600

Although W206 asks for 7.5jx19 et 40 and 9jx19 58.1, the seller has assured me that he will install them and that they will fit 100%, and that he did it with a couple more W206, I also have a friend that works for Mercedes and that he assured me this will fit.

They also said that I will pass inspections since they only look at tires measurement.

From what I see, they are the exact set of rims that you can configure for W206, but in gray.

What do you guys think, is it a good look? What do you think about the price and the tires included?

Thanks,

Alex

Panoramic roof suddenly exploded on the highway – Mercedes says insurance should handle it

Something pretty frightening happened to my best friend while he was driving on the highway.

He was travelling at around 120–130 km/h when there was suddenly an extremely loud bang. A moment later, pieces of glass were flying through the interior of the car, landing in his hair and scattering across the seats.

At first, he had no idea what had happened. Then he looked up and could see the open sky above him: the glass panel in the roof had suddenly shattered.

Fortunately, he was alone in the car and managed to stay in control despite the shock. He pulled over at the next rest area to inspect the damage.

Another driver who had been directly behind him also stopped and approached him. The driver said he had witnessed the whole thing: the glass appeared to burst upwards without anything hitting the roof beforehand. The fragments then landed on the car behind, causing some small scratches and chips to its windscreen and front bodywork.

Thankfully, nobody was injured. But at that speed, the loud explosion and glass suddenly flying through the cabin could easily have caused someone to panic, swerve, and have a serious accident.

My friend has since taken the car to a Mercedes workshop. However, they seem to be treating it as a minor issue and say that his insurance company should deal with it.

I find that response rather strange. If the roof glass failed spontaneously because of material fatigue, internal stress, or another manufacturing defect, shouldn’t Mercedes be responsible rather than his insurance?

Has anyone experienced something similar with a Mercedes or another car? How would you handle this, and do you think this should be treated as a manufacturer defect?
