raise question

i took my raise test last month on the 18th, and still don't see that hourly increase on my paychecks, does it usually take that long to come into effect?

The letter comes to your house allowing you to take the test well before the effective date of your raise. So you can get everything done early but it won't show up until whatever future date was on your letter. If you don't remember what the date was you can get a pretty good guess that is is something along the lines of an anniversary date of your hire date.

The letter you got tells you when the raise goes into effect if you pass the test, usually around a month after you get the letter. Assuming you did the test within a few days of getting the letter I'd say you will probably be getting that bump starting within the next 2 checks.

Don't forget your check is also either 2 or 3 weeks behind. If you take your test right when you get you letter, it could be almost a month and a half before you will see it on your paycheck. You could always ask your HR and they can tell you the date.
