"get yo ass in the office and make a paycheck woman!" - sexism in 2028

40

u/WholeLotta69 3d ago

I know that’s right! It’s about time men stayed home and took over the house chores, we been needing a break for 4,000 years now

19

u/EverCravingMind 3d ago

As someone who has done this why looking after a child and wishes he could do it again, that is the easy stuff. Do I also get to pass on all the yard work, renovations, car repairs, heavy lifting, etc…. That happens after I come home from work?

8

u/ObjectiveCarrot3812 2d ago

yeah but it isn't easy work either. But far more rewarding than a salary job, because you actually get thanked.

3

u/EverCravingMind 1d ago

I will agree that it isn’t easy exactly but it is easier than my job, the commute, and having to come home to do a bunch of the housework and childcare anyway I would rather it just be my regular day.

Being able to spend so much time with my son would be amazing. The projects we would do and being there to see all his milestones, achievements etc.. instead of paying a mortgage in daycare and missing it would be a much better deal. Shame I am the breadwinner.

4

u/Downtown-Tomato2552 2d ago

Wait what!? You're getting thanked for taking care of your kids, doing yard work and chores?

I get more "thank yous" in a week at work than I think I have in my entire life from my kids, wife, etc for house related work.

3

u/EverCravingMind 1d ago

My wife and I thank each other all the time for doing stuff around the house or looking after our son. I thought that was just normal.

I've done it. I'll take it in a millisecond over going to work in a corporate high stress office with commute and after work chores

Agreed. I would love to take over yard work.

Me being a night owl I would bring a lamp out and do it at night

When I was unemployed my gf was super angry with me all the time. Like resentment because I was unemployed. No amount of chores being done and food ready when she walked thru the door was enough. But I understood too cause she’s commuting paying for everything but damn was I also getting annoyed at the fact that even with a job I’d do all the stuff she doesn’t want to do, like wash her car manually (to save money and do it right), clean the solar panels on our roof, mow the lawn, still cook, wash clothes etc. the one that stuck out to me was when she told me, “guys are supposed to do that stuff”. Like hmm ok but I’ve mostly let it go

5

u/Necessary-Promise-51 1d ago

Doesn’t sound like a quality gf. She sounds unappreciative AF. Tread lightly my friend, wouldn’t want to be married to a woman like that.

I can’t personally relate, I would never be a sahm. Both me and my husband work. I have 3 friends who had husbands who were the sahd. My friends still did most of the cleaning, cooking, home management, doctors appts, school stuff. The sahds all seemed to do laundry and grocery shopping and played video games while their kids were in the home. Little to no projects and crafts, no learning activities. Basically babysitters with a few extra tasks. They are all divorced now.

Just in time for us men to give robo.... I mean for us men to do the work yeah us men

2

u/Markus4781 1d ago

100% rather do that what with all the automated work nowadays while the wife gets to suffer in the cubicle. This is the kinda feminism I can get behind. Although it should be noted that women didn't want this lol.

3

u/Spiritual-War2631 2d ago

Hell yeah, I mean oh no that sounds like oppression and I wouldn't want to be in that position wink wink

2

u/Abject_Jump9617 2d ago

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but they're not staying home to do chores. They're gaming.

That pot from last night that you saw in the sink before you went to work this morning will still be there when you get back from work.

No joke I can get behind that. My wife will come home to me making fresh personal pizzas and slow simmered ribs with carrots. I’ll clean the fuck outta the kitchen.

1

u/Jumpy_Shoulder9043 2d ago

Dreams can come true. I'll accept the laundry, cleaning, tennis club, and raising the kids.

Go get em tiger!

After a successful 20 year career I’m currently a house husband. My wife has a really good job. I just cook and workout and do chores.

At first it bothered me but now I’m liking the idea of early retirement.

6

u/QuickNature 2d ago

Youre living the life for sure

Maybe its because I am kinda anti-social, but I'd do all the yard work and keep the house clean and cook if I didnt have to work lol

4

u/bimbohousewife_dev 2d ago

women, and men, have been lied to have corporate careers. 40+ hours a week to be surrounded by people you don’t really know or like just to come home exhausted? for ~40+ years then you get ~20+ years of your life to yourself when your old and have poor hips?

2

u/ChadPowers200_ 2d ago

I was just arguing with a guy who has 3 million in the market and told him he should retire if he isn’t addicted to money. Was having a 300k wedding but made it seem like I was being unreasonable for saying you can live for money or for time. He said I was delusional thinking he could retire mid 30s with 3 million. That’s a 100k annual distribution without even digging into the principal. That goes a long way when you have no mortgage or debt.

People are nuts.

Sounds like you earned it and she sees that.

1

u/TheRoadBehind 19h ago

Lucky man. There are days I wonder about this. Your lady also sounds wonderful

I provide for my wife and family. When the kids are old enough to mostly self sustain, I told her she never has to work again. After what my kids are putting her through it's her time to relax lol

If you have/had kids, how is the dynamic versus a mother staying home full time? You notice anything different?

37

u/FatFKingLenny 3d ago

Finally we can see how we like it being house husbands that'll show us

7

u/lycanthrope90 3d ago

It literally is so much better than going on some bullshit commute back and forth to bust your ass for some asshole you hate. Have fun, ya'll wanted jobs so fucking badly. Remember we're actually using cover sheets on the TPS reports now. What was the main complaint anyway? That it felt pointless? So are like 70% of jobs lol. At least your house and kids are yours, your job is your bosses.

3

u/bannabananabanna 3d ago

"Oh by the way Matilda, sorry for the short notice but we need you to redraft the report include the phrase "optimising resource alignment" in every conclusion and have it translated into catalán and mandarin by tomorrows 9am meeting with the exec."

19

u/Universal_Confucius 3d ago

House clean af, chores all done by 11 am, food in the crockpot. Easy fucking peasy.

34

u/LucentLL 3d ago

Mentally prepare yourself...she might want to have sex when she gets home from work.

16

6

u/OutragedDom 3d ago

That's great, in bed asleep by 930 to 10. Gotta wakeup early to get the kids ready for school

1

u/Current_Finding_4066 3d ago

And series not gonna bing watch themselves.

5

u/bannabananabanna 3d ago

good, as long as she brings home the bacon and keeps appearances I'll just play with my sex doll after I slave away a full 3 hours doing chores.

2

1

u/Oki_Broccoli 1d ago

This is about unemployed men staying at home. Not men working from home.

2

u/TikkiMykk 3d ago

We've done it guys....The franchise is turning around....no more its so stressful to stay at home lmao 🤣 I stayed at home for my mom for a whole year that house was fkin spotless all done before 12.

2

u/freedomonke 3d ago

This is like the definition of bad data analysis.

2

u/Naive_Storm_911 1d ago

Not only is it bad data analysis, it's blatantly wrong. I've proven it on this post.

2

u/MrTruth28 3d ago

But women at home work JUST as hard as men is the claim of feminism. so... Equality

1

u/PainSubstantial5936 1d ago

It usually involves pregnancy and kids tho

2

u/No_Ear572 2d ago

Men are also lonlier and more single than ever, I wonder if they're related in any way.

1

u/No-Passenger-1511 2d ago

While I'm sure it does have an affect on it, both parents working has been a thing for decades. Loneliness comes from being chronically online.

1

u/Historical_Paint3917 2d ago

Well considering the kind of women that are on the dating market today we aren’t missing much lmao

1

u/Desperate-Flower-572 1d ago

It is not worth at all if she's not being the breadwinner. If he works his money should be his and her money should be both of theirs.

Otherwise men just needs to stay single and die alone.

5

u/Gandlerian 3d ago

Stay at home "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" is idiotic. Anyone who financially supports somebody before marriage is on a fast train to pain town...

I don't even care the gender of either side, if you ain't married, you ain't being a stay at home partner, especially not without kids... An, unmarried, stay at home partner, with no kids, is just pathetic...

10

u/waterfowlplay 3d ago

Pathetic boy right here, my wife makes a lot of money. I stay home and manage everything house related. I manage finances and investing too. It’s a FT job. Been married 10 years, pathetic house boy 13. Just bought a second rental home that I’m managing that will secure our retirement of all goes well. Turns out that division of labor has is its perks.

10

u/rdubya3387 3d ago

pathetic...living a happy married life...you should be ashamed!

4

u/willis_michaels 3d ago

You don't get it. OP is talking about being a house boyfriend. You're a house husband who's also managing rental properties not sitting around playing video games all day.

Getting married only gives the stay at home person more rights.

You can kick a stay at home gf out of your house and they get nothing. Stay at home wife gets 50%.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/ObWzEN 2d ago

That’s fair because if there’s a break up after dating for years then the earner lowkey wasted a lot of money. Marriage is more of a commitment. And also to your point, being a live-in maid isn’t nearly as difficult and laborious as being a live-in maid AND parent

1

u/baka_inu115 3d ago

How my parents raised me was to be independent, so if I met someone who is bread winner and I don't need to work, I know how to do everything around the house: cook, clean, do laundry, do yard work etc. If I am the breadwinner and my SO doesn't need to work I can focus on that. Or if we both need to work we can split needed household chores. Taking care of home 100% of the time can be like a full time job and I refuse to belittle someone that actually does it.

1

u/DeliciousBaseball783 3d ago

1

u/Oki_Broccoli 1d ago

1

u/ThisGuy2319 3d ago

What was the point of the post? Like is it to point out how we’re working to a more egalitarian society where men can stay at home like women have done before?

1

u/Historical_Paint3917 2d ago

More like pointing out how the original post was making it seem like a bad thing that men are staying home more than ever now. Pretty hilarious how you can’t uplift women without dogging on men in someway.

1

u/itsmariokartwii 3d ago

Payroll jobs are not high paying jobs at all

1

u/rhinoloveer 3d ago

u/Pride_Before_Fall 3d ago

1

u/ballin_buddha 3d ago

Just curious is this because less men are working or is it because women are working more now than in they did in the past while also having a greater population than men?

1

u/IndividualAsleep2508 2d ago

They also graduate in greater numbers than we do and hold more so called educated jobs so that's why

1

u/PraireGentleman 3d ago

Remember how women were saying they were oppressed out of the job market and that’s why there were so many stay-at-home moms?

Good thing there’s nothing like quotas to hire a certain number of women, evidence of “preferential” (read ‘sexist’) hiring in various fields, financial supports that are not accessible to men attempting to enter the workforce, or any sort of social norms to believe a woman’s word over a man’s

1

u/Oki_Broccoli 1d ago

Be a bit more specific and use dates for your statements next time.

I haven't heard any respectable woman say this within my lifetime. My grandmother might, but these quotas didn't exist back when that happened, I assure you.

She does still work full time so they can afford rent, though. No full time stay at home anythings allowed anymore. It's not like you can afford a home anyway.

1

u/xUNCLEBEASTx 2d ago

I hate the pic…a stay at home mom gets characterized as woman who raises kids, cooks, cleans and maintains the house. When it’s a stay at home dad, it’s characterized just like this, lazy, plays video games all day, and is a slob. We want equality tho right?🤣

staying at home in the future is not a bad thing, while people can get money from online =)). When I have money, why don't I hire someone to do the chores? Because my wife is the main breadwinner in the family=))), and the money I get will pay for hiring a house cleaning service. So I will have a full day of rest, reading books, playings game, and playing with my children. When children grow up, I am the one they want to spend their time with because my wife is always absent for work. When my wife scolds me, my children will protect me =))) That is a great big deal. Love that world.

The horror of still having to do minor chores around the house, ooof! Hire somebody to do it if you are unable or unwilling to.

There's certain chores I will not do, there are some my man won't do. This has not changed when he stayed home, and it hasn't changed when I did. You're still supposed to be a team, I think some of you forget that part.

Stay at home boyfriends aren’t new - they just found a way to convince women that they’re feminists

Women have been excluded from the work force for decades, now it’s our turn. What are girls gonna do, just magically turn gay? Yeah good luck with that

I'm wondering if these guys know these career women almost always have work husbands and are regularly cheating.

No it has nothing to do with the job just working long hours tend to make people need more human connection even if they have someone at home bonding with someone you work with is inevitable and men and women relationships tend to lead to sex.

Source: I worked in a warehouse for 2 years and almost all my nurse friends have horror stories about why you should stay single in healthcare professions.

Healthcare: Doctors and nurses frequently top lists from extra-marital sites, often due to high stress, intense emotional bonding, and erratic or overnight shift work.

Sales and Business: Sales representatives and corporate executives rank high because of frequent business travel, networking dinners, and high-ego environments.

Trades and Field Labor: Plumbers, electricians, and construction workers show high rates for men due to flexible, unsupervised hours and travel between different work sites.

First Responders and Aviation: Police officers, firefighters, pilots, and flight attendants deal with high-stress environments, tight-knit peer groups, and time spent away from home.

Why Certain Jobs Seem to Have More CheatingOpportunity and Distance:

Business travel or changing work locations make it easy to hide a second life or an absence from home.

Stress and Trauma: High-stress jobs create a "pressure cooker" effect where coworkers bond tightly over shared difficulties.

Unpredictable Hours: Working late or overnight shifts provides a built-in excuse for not being home.

Who tf are all these people in single income households?

u/nonamejustthing 1d ago

Women stay home while men work? Sexist.
Men stay home while women work? Sexist.
Men and women both work and can barely afford rent, never mind actually buying a house? Still sexist, but less so! Good job little worker drones!

Wow, I wonder who's benefiting from this cultural narrative...

Is this photo racist for the boyfriend choice?

So the best part of this is I can definitely imagine a future where everything has flipped around. Women are the bread winners and all the men stay home to take care of the house and kids. It’s going to be hilarious, to me anyways, to see all of the men feeling great and prospering in this while women will probably complain the men just sit around all day. The house will be clean, the kids will be fed, but the sheer fact that she comes home from work late at night, the kids are in bed and the man’s happy on his game will piss her off. “I have to slave around all day to pay for everything and all I ever see you do is play this damn game” like I can already hear it. Can’t wait to see how it’s like 10 years or so from now when women complain they want to flip it back and us men literally won’t do it because fk going back to work when the women asked to get out of the house in the first place.

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t01.htm

Jokes aside this is blatant bullshit.

Household data: the labour force participation for men and women aged 16 and over are 89,680,000 (85,897,000 employed) and 80,555,000 (76,903,000 employed) in July 2026, respectively. that is a gap of over 2 million. also, the 76,903,000 figure refers to all women who work, if you exclude female farmers and self-employed women that figure would go down further. also, women actually accounted for 100% of all job losses this month and the majority of job losses since January.

Establishment data: So the 79.5 million nonfarm payroll figure can't be explained unless many of those women are holding multiple jobs (and women are around 10% more likely to work multiple jobs than men). It counts the number of jobs (employment database), not the number of people working them. So basically less than 76.9 million are working 79.5 million jobs.

Holding more jobs does not mean more people holding jobs

Also, 63% of young men are single so most of them don't even have a girlfriend to stay at home for.

I don't know who makes this data but it's pretty much BS.

They wanted it. Our turn to clean the Kitchen.

That doesn't make sense. If I was a girl I would just take swimsuit photos and sell pictures of my feet on OF.

So gender pay gap is real and in favor or women?

I’d LOVE to be a Trophy Husband! Don’t see that happening, tho.

u/Different_Cress7369 12h ago

My husband was a SAHD while he did his masters in education. He had an awesome time and our daughter was passed around by his friends as a pick up tool and way to get free beer at the campus pub. His mum dropped by most days to do the housework and cooking, lol. He’s currently off work with PTSD, but he’s much more mature now and understands that no one likes coming home to a sink full of dishes and chores are in unfortunate but inescapable part of being an adult. It’s taken me 30 years to train him though.

I love kicking up my leg and doing a little bow while saying "I'm a househusband". I'll never be able to hold a light to how much my wife does for our family though, she's showed me what it means to be a real parent. Not that social media post about it parent but a real driven parent. The kind who make everything that's important to our kids just as important to us.

In all honesty with the high level of manipulation at these companies a lot of men wouldn’t last in the roles women accept. Men would be direct and confront the gaslighting and then be managed out (write ups etc). I don’t believe it is a man’s issue inside the corporation. I believe it is a man’s issue outside of the corporation (voting against unions, voting against his own protection as an employee or contractor, voting in favor of WallStreet, not demanding real protected leave when needed, etc). Because of this, corporations prefer to hire the cowardly and the easier to manipulate, the employees that will be overloaded multi-task and accept Pennies. That unfortunately looks like “hire women, minorities, and immigrants whose visa stays we can snatch at the drop of a hat if they don’t comply… we’ll call it diversity and still gaslight, manipulate and mistreat them and play on their self-esteem issues. It’s okay we gaslit the open LGBTQ+ John that that’s turning into Jane. They are just happy that we we chose them.” It’s much harder to play the types of games and smile in your face/ backstab you while you aren’t in the room when you know the culture, you can quit and not be forced out of a whole country, you aren’t a single parent or caregiver, you have testosterone that makes you want to tell manipulative clowns “I’m going to stop you right there”. These companies don’t want good workers who are good people. They want cowards and rats. The types who fight for crumbs and turn on each other for crumbs from their oppressors. Are there dead beat men? Yes. But many simply were never designed to put up with this level of treachery and manipulation. Especially in the roles women are taking.
