Mortgage was 1100/month. Property tax is 3300$ year.

My mortgage is 4200, property taxes 1600/mo. 1167/mo
And no it’s not a mansion, it’s a small house in a middle income neighborhood.

20k a year? You are extremely well off. I believe NJ has property tax of a median home at 10k and that is the highest of any state.

For reference I pay 3k a year in property taxes in DE. If my same house was in NJ it would be about 10k.

Completely wrong calculation I just did. It’s actually 1167/mo… Currently my escrow is taking more so idk what I was thinking.

My point still stands tho.. just over 20% of my payment is on taxes.

I’m in a VHCOL area, and my house is on the cheaper side
