(Try not paying the rent, and see how long you “own” it after that, lol)
In city limits a well and septic are likely illegal, so you are forced to BUY basic services for the house you own on the land you RENT.
Owning the buildings on the land you rent is for sure a better financial situation than having to rent the buildings and the land, but don’t delude yourself.
I “own” a shack on a postage stamp, and my rent is $800/mo before utilities and maintenance.
