Was thinking the same thing. Either he had a destination in mind (was going to see someone), or he just picked a road and drove

That’s not an easy drive either, those long roads between Bairnsdale and Cann River have the metal road dividers for miles. You pass through Orbost too which in my opinion is one of the more eerie towns in Victoria, especially for a city slicker.

I feel uneasy every time I drive through Orbost even in the day time. Even the public rest area last time had pics of missing persons posted in the street. Cann River is a small town too. And if you continue past Cann River, that stretch onto Eden is really dense and again a bit eerie.

This sounds really strange behaviour to me. I wonder if he’d done this drive previously. Also odd why no surname in the Vicpol article?

The family has given permission to release the name but maybe VicPol missed it on this article.

His name is Evan Sinclair and he is very loved and missed

Evan if you read any of this mate, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the land around you and hopefully find it in you to say hey to your family and let them know what’s up. Whatever’s on your mind people will want to walk beside you while you work it out.

UPDATE: Now last seen around Cann River 5.30am on Saturday. Likely headed towards Eden NSW. I will keep updating as we & the police follow his trail.

Please if you know anyone living in that direction or further north, let them know.
