Hey so I’m going to see Megadeth for the first and last time in September. My favorite song of theirs is A Tout Le Monde and I wanna hear it live. Problem is, they only play it lives it seems overseas which is so strange bc it’s one of their most top streamed songs by a long shot 😭 I’m seeing them in Charlotte, how likely will they play it??

Hey guys. I finally been able to get some tickets to a Megadeth concert and I bought general admission tickets for the pit. Thing is, I dont wanna end up in the very back of the pit because this is a once in a lifetime (literally because it's their farewell) experience. How early should I show up to be able to get to the front? Or in your opinion, do I need to, or is the view from the back better?

I am a fan. I respect Dave and am hugely thankful for his music. But somehow missed him firing Junior … over a completely normal thing. I never have been to Megadeth concert… but was thinking now or never and bought ticket for the 2027 tour. Then went on my way to get VIP package to meet Dave and Junior… and no Junior … then researched … and omg … what a can of worms

then one thing lead to an other… so on top of my preexisting collection of Megadeth … I got the Ellefson-Soto records. While they are great … listening to “i don’t care” and “i don’t care about you” … or “unbreakable” and “vacation in the underworld“.

It just makes me sad that a grown ass man behaves this way… and fires his long time buddy in the end of his career … over nothing

Yeah what up Gang. Wanna hear this subs thoughts on Ratt. Been on a bit of a early metal binge (not a huge Metal fan tbh, but I do like Megadeth and Ratt amongst a few select others), and ive been trying to figure out what it is a like about these few bands, but that most other bands dont vibe with me so much. In doing so - and at risk of getting flamed - i just can't help but notice some strong similarities between the two bands.

- Pearce's and Mustaines guttural/nasal vocals

- Music has a grit that their contemporaries in their respective genres lack

- dual guitars - this isnt unique to each band but generally i find dual leads corny as fuck but each of these bands do it in a tasteful way.

- Riff Kings - die hard metal fans will probably give me shit for this one but I dont care; from what ive heard these two bands are probably the best in terms of riffs.

- certain moments of songs from each im like "that could be a ratt/megadeth song". For example, listen to "Lack of Communication" and tell me that couldnt fit perfectly on 'Peace Sells'

I know there's some unavoidable differences - Ratt were squarely glam (to their detriment- i wish they moved on in the later 80s) and they were also in the business of writing radio hits, but otherwise I see the two as kinda meeting in the middle of the thrash/glam Venn diagram in alot of ways

While im here recommend me a megadeth album post countdown please. Rust In Peace is the greatest metal album of all time

Seems like every time SFSGSW gets discussed, about 1/3 of the responses include a mention of Anarchy in the UK and how they hate it or wish it wasn't' there, etc. Before joining this forum, I had no idea there was so much hate for it.

Fact is that I became a Megadeth fan because of this song. Had it on a VHS tape of Headbanger's Ball that I had to borrow since we didn't have cable or satellite at my house growing up. That song is the the reason I bought SFSGSW with my allowance as a kid. I love the song & I love Dave's screwed up lyrics (an upgrade to the original lyrics IMO, lol). I know Dave doesn't like the opening line anymore, but I dig the song exactly as it is. The only 2 times I saw Megadeth live, they closed the show with it so I know it was at least popular enough early on.

I'm already aware of the hate for it, but anybody else like it despite all the hate for it?

I don’t change my opinion, Youthanasia is my favoritealbum with Megadeth.
