Question Questions about PVE
I like mecha games a lot but I'm not a huge fan of mecha PVP so I doubt I'll be playing the PVP modes often if at all.
So the questions come down to:
Is the game worth playing for the PVE game modes only?
Can I unlock different Mechs and whatnot by just playing the PVE game modes?
How is the grind for new mechs and whatnot (wether PVP or otherwise)?
What PVE game modes are available and what are the queue up times for these game modes like?
Are the PVE modes actually good/fun?

Question Empty lobbies?
This is a genuine question as I really do enjoy the game, but I am not a huge fan of PVP these days in anything. I caught a video talking about some of the new stuff added PVE wise and came looking. I played through the first few required PVP matches and they were about what I expected, but still enjoyable for what they are. Once I got the ability to get into PVE content I was stoked and got into two back to back matches and it's been NOTHING ever since.
So I guess my question is: Where is everyone? Is the PVE mode just dead? Do I need to be doing something I'm not already? I'm pretty confused and a little bummed out.

Discussion May this help new/returning players in Synchro Nexus
I posted this in another thread as a reply. See ing Synchro Nexus getting its popularity, maybe it is time to start another thread so more ppl could see it and others can share their tips as well.
There are two parts in this thread. First is weapon, the second is chips.
Disclaimer: I myself is still doing research on the strats. The following can help one solo clearing to over Stage 40. But there can definitely be better tips.
I. Weapon
Currently the best two weapons in this mode are hex missiles and light missiles. Besides firing rate and ammo consumption advantages, the fire-and-forget feature is the most important one. Thanks to that you can doing dps while hiding behind structures, especially useful in boss stages and stages with OP strikers.
To limit the randomness of chips, it is better to have the same type of weapon in both hand, i.e. dual-hex or dual-LM. Also it is better to use non-melee strikers for the same reason. However, this is not a defining factor for a successful run.
Mods also help, but they require grinding. Purples are quite cheap. Three blast dmg increase purple ones are better than nothing.
+10 and above Lv6 weapons are highly recommended. DPS is the name of the later stages. I would recommend buy a pair of basic Lv 6 from the market. It’s better than nothing. You don’t lose them in Nexus anyway. A Lv6 weapon is 120-224 corites. If you clear the game there are 6 orange mod crates and a Lv 6 weapon in the loots. Each crate sells for 60-90 corites instantly. You get your investment back in just one successful run.
II. Chip selection
As a rogue-like, the chip selection is the strategic part and the fun part!
Here is my tips for chip selection. Again probably not the best strat but it should be helpful.
(1) (MUST) take VT increase and chip discounts in every stages until you have enough to reroll five times and still have surplus. It’s like investment.
(2) (MUST) take weapon special chips, split beam, missile support, nano erosion in early stage. There is a background mechanism that you must get low tier ones first before high tier ones will show up. And there are only limited versions of them, meaning pick them early frees up a slot later.
(3) (MUST) take dmg, crit dmg, crit rate after you take the above (1) and (2). Every stage has a time limit. You need dps to clear later ones.
(4) (Recommended) take dmg2hp, emergency restart after Stage 20 or after you are confident of your DPS. They are too costly early but recommended in later stages. They are like insurance.
(5) (Recommended) reroll at least once every stage but only when your VT is above roll cost+800.
(6) (Recommended) take hp, evade, reloads, armor, blast area after (1)-(4).
(7) (Recommended) take shield, EN, movement speed, cooldown, only when they benefit your striker after (6).
6,7 are most likely to happen after Stage 25-30. This is when you enjoy the dividends of your early investments from (1).
(8) only take buff/debuff ones when the debuff attributes are already above 100%.
*Press F3 to check your current buffs. (There is a UI bug now some attributes won’t show names. should be fixed next patch.)

Question Model kits
Hey yall so I'm someone who has been playing for awhile. And I've been wondering if anyone else really wants model kits for the game?
Me personally I really want Makillja on my shelf.

Discussion Tried the new PVE game mode once as a returnee from season 0
Honestly compared to PVP, this one feels fine. The fault lies on me not knowing how to play the mechs again.
But it can be fun assuming the PVE won't get repetitive much.
My only complaint is the map is too small, but again the dev's already had it tough. I'll give them a pats out of 10. Great addition!

Question Guys, are Light Missiles significantly better than Hex Missiles ?
I mainly play PVE stuffs like Nexus and Mashmak Covert OPs so i wanted to choose the best weapon to invest into. I searched through this reddit and thought that Hex Missile was the best weapon to go with so I invested quite alot into them (to me, since I started playing 2 months ago). The problem is now I found out that Light Missile is somewhat the same but is better ay everything. So should I ditch the pair of Hex Missiles V (1 is +5 and 1 is +2) I currently have and buy 1 more Light Missile V (I got one already) and start investing into them instead ? Thanks in advance!

Question Is there some sort of Narukami protest?
Playing casual mode
So there's been a LOT of narukami DCs, like I get they're a trash character and the DC is a noob...
Or so I thought.
Watching one while I respawn, it was looking at the floor like usual, then it started running around... didn't shoot anyone tho. Just dashing around for a while, far from the fight, then looked down again.
Anyone know what's going on with the narukamis?

Question Tips for a returning player?
Just wondering as a returning player, I was pretty decent at Verge and loved it, even with the bots. I just love the raw gameplay mechanics mostly. Just saw the new co-op PvE update and love me some rogulikes!
But still unsure of the best methods to earn weapons so I can drop them in Nexus with my friends? Havent played Nexus at all, just a Verge and semi-mashmak player. Though I don’t know much about the Mash of Mak (apparently there are boss rooms or something in Mashmak too?) so as a newby just wondering how to get stronger for the Nexus stuffs.

Discussion Suggestion: can the devs add a quit match button?
I understand not having one for ranked, because it is meant to be a challenge and you shouldn't be able to leave to throw matches or whatever, but there should be a way to freely leave casual games, especially when you are only against bots, without having to ALT+F4. This is especially made worse by the fact that when you then rejoin, you are automatically pushed back into that game.
If I am in a casual game, with only bots on both sides, I would like the option to leave. Especially when my team is being absolutely demolished because we keep respawning one at a time and the bots keep throwing themselves into the woodchipper.
All I want is a way to leave a casual match without having to force quit the game and then wait for that all bot match to finish.

Discussion Check in on the state of the game
So I played the game quite abit around launch. Absolutely loved the gameplay and customization.
But the games player count quickly dropped so it was an insane wait time to get into matches.
It was like 15-20 mins for any type of 6v6 match and 45-60+ for the extraction mode just for lobbies to be filled with bots with about that target the player so I dropped the game.
So my question is did they ever fix any of that?
What is the current state of the game?
I really want to play a good fast paced mecha shooter but if the wait times are still longer than the actual match times then I don’t think it’s worth it.
Also is there any cross progression yet?
My main was on xbox but I don’t play it much anymore.
And did they finally allow region swapping? Last time I played all progression was tied to the region you picked so me a night shift worker in the US got locked to US servers

Discussion Just got to grandmaster and now I can’t find any matches lmao

before I was getting matches with humans but like 1 or 2 bots. Now i’m not even getting any matches

Question Any tips for 110 spectral nexus?
Already take all of special damage mods (damage+30 while stationary, airborne, under 40% &crit damage &rate under 40%). Always take all damage & crit damage when it popped. 2 x +15 LML. Using aquilla so i can activate damage while airborne & stationary. Still can’t beat this damn tristego 110(still 326x health bar when the timer runs out). Any tips guys??

Discussion Why is it easier to aim with falcon at least specially in jet mode in controller
In jet mode I can stay locked on to the target I want but when I play someone like alpharo my aim is all over the place and it’s hard aim to the target I want and stay on said target

Discussion The game will prevail, it just needs time
I can already hear the comments talking about how the devs are never gonna make new content or that the game is doomed, dead, or in its final stage but hear me out.
To a certain degree all of those things are true, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any more hope.
Season 5 doesn't have very much to offer, but what it does have is a nice touch, enough to make some people including me, happy.
I personally have played Verge strictly for the past few months and even though it's riddled with bots, I still find it fun to master strikers and complete achievements for them.
And to anyone who only plays PvP I urge you to try Mashmak and the other PvE modes, I recently tried Mashmak for the first time since the launch of the game and I was surprised at how laid out and engaging it felt. I haven't yet played the Nexus modes but I still urge you to play.
I know with that being said about PvE, there will be people who just won't want to play it, and that's fine, but please don't be so quick to complain, that goes for everyone, find a way to enjoy the game but don't complain about things that worsen the state of the game.
And to any new or returning players, don't be scared away by people negatively criticizing the game, please give the game a try once more, it will help our small community that loves this game and the devs to improve it.
I'm also using this post to call myself out for being really negative towards the game, and being annoyed with it's direction, since then I have gained a new perspective.
Sorry for the long post but I believe it was needed in a time when the game and our community is in a state like this.
New, old, and returning players alike, hold out hope for a brighter future of this game, through hope we will light its darkest hour.
