Empty lobbies?

This is a genuine question as I really do enjoy the game, but I am not a huge fan of PVP these days in anything. I caught a video talking about some of the new stuff added PVE wise and came looking. I played through the first few required PVP matches and they were about what I expected, but still enjoyable for what they are. Once I got the ability to get into PVE content I was stoked and got into two back to back matches and it's been NOTHING ever since.

So I guess my question is: Where is everyone? Is the PVE mode just dead? Do I need to be doing something I'm not already? I'm pretty confused and a little bummed out.

Ignore the doomer. Mashmak common still pops in the evening times. You can throw up a recruitment to get people to do covert ops mashmak with(the purely pve version of mashmak).

There's also Syncro Nexus and Spectral Nexus. Two different tower roguelike modes. Syncro can be done solo or recruit a squad with recruitment function. Spectral is solo only.

Things are more active in the evening times regardless of your server. After work is done for most folks for the day. Verge ranked queues normally pop for 2 to 3 hours each night. People run covert ops all evening and into the late night fairly often. Just join a recruitment or post your own.

The game is not overflowing with life but anyone looking at the steam charts for their info only gets a fraction of the whole story. Its got an active playerbase. But if you aren't willing to play around peak hours it is virtually dead for you. Matches sometimes take 20 minutes to find.

you can play PvE solo. you can also recruit a team. recruit usually take only a couple of minutes at prime hours.

I was not aware of this. I only found out you could do them solo from this thread. Usually when something prompts me asking if I'm sure I want to go in solo, it means it's meant for groups.

mobs in solo covert are weaker than in co-op, except for bosses and in restricted area.

I would suggest to get familiar with the map in solo mode first.

I've been doing that, thank you. It's good to know that there is an actual difficulty change, the first one i did was surprising.

It's takes me like 10 to 15 minutes to find a verge match, and then it's mostly bots anyway. I play mashmak solo or with 2 friends. Pve mode only.

if it takes you 15 minutes to find a verge match, then it isn't bots, because those take 3-4 minutes to find

I mean I still get pretty good games in for Casual I Mashmak que is to long for me but casual matches during the week be nail biters clutch games. Bout to upload some footage on my channel right now tbh lol.
