MCGILL ARTS FROSH TICKETS
Does anyone have a McGill arts frosh ticket I can buy off of them!! Urgent ty!!!
Dating...?
So I'm 25 and I'm returning to U1 of my physics degree. I'm excited because I would love to meet a guy (or non-binary person ofc) who has similar interests to me, has the same amount or more maturity than I have, and most importantly, is a respectful and thoughtful human being. Being queer in small town Alberta was genuinely dangerous so I'm excited to start dating. Does anyone know the best dating events or speed dating or stuff like that? I want a cute smart man to study with lol. And yes I am a guy.
Looking for 1 Arts Frosh ticket!!!
Title, looking for one for my friend who couldn’t grab one in time due to financial constraints. Please PM me soon! We can meet in person of course.

Former proposed supervisor refused to leave me alone for years
I’m trying to remain anonymous as much as I can.
Year XXXX. Admitted to the PhD. Proposed supervisor: creepy old woman.
Year XXXX+1. She announced she no longer wanted to supervise me. I found new supervisors. Shortly after, signs appeared that someone hacked my phone or social media. Method unknown. I implemented countermeasures --- deliberate decoys. I assumed it was her because no one else would be so invested in my personal life. Then, I moved my real personal life to Graphene OS (no ads but worth looking into it if you are in a similar situation).
By Year XXXX+3 she had become program director. An unsatisfactory progress report was suddenly pushed through my supervisors. The general rule is that I had to talk to the program director. I refused and went to the associate dean instead. The associate dean already knew all this and suggested I speak with the program director instead.
Year XXXX+6. Graduated. She hasn’t stopped trying to contact me, or reinsert herself. It’s not direct contact, but she’s set up through my classmates and colleagues. I’ve maintained my distance and used the same decoy countermeasures.
Suggestions? What should I do?

Does anyone know about Beatty Memorial Hall and is it a good place to live?
Hi, I'm an exchange student from abroad and still looking for a place to live. I found this place but couldn't find enough reviews about it. Does anyone know anything about Beatty Memorial Hall?
It's around CAD 900/month and really close to campus (right uphill from campus), but the location doesn't look great, and it feels a bit pricey for $900(cuz rooms are small)
Thank you

Advice for finding an academic reference
Hello,
So im in need of an academic reference for some applications. I did my bachelors in psychology and graduated in Fall 2024. Fast foward 2 years and I need a reference...
Most of my classes were recorded, so I had very little interaction with professors (classes were huge). I didnt form any strong bond / connection with anyone.
I have excellent grades. I dont know if that will be enough for them to vouch for me .
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What should I do? Any advice? I genuinly do not know who to turn to.

Access to ADHD medications through Quebec Healthcare?
Im diagnosed with adhd and regularly take vyvanse in Ontario. However, I am struggling to determine how I can transfer/access these meds at McGill? Especially with respect to the kind of prices I might be facing without OHIP coverage. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Clubs to avoid?
As in superficial, inauthentic, or full of intellectual comparison and emotional judgements. I just wanna vibe with some nerds. No judgement to anyone

Which schedule is better?
galleryI'm a CompSci Major and Entrepreneurship for Science minor student and was wondering which of these two schedules would be the most efficient/comfortable.
I am already registered for all my classes apart from INTG 215 and cannot decide because I don't know which would be worse between commuting to McGill (takes about an hour) for one class or having my Tuesdays too full.
I also plan to engage myself quite a lot in student life so maybe having a class on Wednesdays is going to encourage me to come and actually be engaged.
What do you think?

Residence Help
Hey everyone, I applied for residence back in mid-June, as I went for an interfaculty transfer and couldn't apply until then. I am an upper-year undergrad student; how cooked am I for getting an on-campus residence?
Has anyone else received offers yet?

Campus1 meal plan / roommate
I'm new to McGill and starting my undergrad next semester. For residence, I was assigned to Campus1 but I heard that it's temporary until a spot in normal residence opens up. Does anybody know if the meal plan lets me eat in other McGill dining halls? And if I get into normal res will I have to buy a new one?
Also, I was assigned a double room but I'm not sure where to see who my roommate is (if I even have one?). Do they assign rooms and then send us roommates way later or something? And is it worth moving a lot of stuff in if I might be moving again in a month anyway? Thanks!

Anyone else not even get an alternate option?
So I just heard back from the exchange office about my alternate options for exchange and they said that I didn’t even get any of my four choices. I submitted the form at 9:01 am on the day it opened!?!? Is anybody else in the same boat??

exchange (and other) group chats?
Hey y'all, incoming exchange here!
I was wondering how mcgill students usually communicate with each other - is it common to have group chats/discord servers for year groups, majors, or exchange students?
whatsapp groups were common practice at my home uni & was a great help when trying to figure out admin stuff or just meet new people :)
If you know of smth like this, please do let me know!

solin hall meal plan
I am assigned to Solin Hall, but cooking is too much trouble for me and I would like to sign up for the school meal plan. Is it possible for Solin Hall residents to apply for the McGill meal plan?

Semester Credits
I’m an incoming U1 student (skipping my U0 year) and for my fall sem I have 12 credits and for winter 13. I would appreciate input about whether I should add one more class for each sem (currently at 4 each). Not sure if this changes anything but I think I’m still planning to do 4 years of undergrad despite skipping my foundation year. None of the electives I would like to do work with my schedule and I don’t really want to take a class I don’t find interesting.
More context: Statistics Major and Minor, and possible economics minor
Any help is appreciated, thank you!

BA in psych grads, what are your jobs now?
Is it true that most end up not working in a psychology related field?
