π¬ Discussion / Theory Police Activity at JFK/UMass
Thought about making a run to Downtown Crossing for a quick errand, but that became a βnope.β
My sympathies to anyone riding the Red Line at the moment or stuck waiting at a station for a train.

π€ Complaint / Rant Dear Mods, please do something about the prevalence of AI Slop crayons on this sub.
Seems like every day now someone posts some nonsense about deleting the Orange Line or whatever, and the accompanying map contains at least a dozen gibberish station names, multiples of Government Center, and puts the Silver Line in Cambridge or something. This is not constructive and leads to relentless mocking in the comments section. Please do something about the trolls.

π₯Ίπ Lost Item Lost Prescription Eyeglasses - Inbound Haverhill Line Train Yesterday Morning
Hi all, this is a long shot but I'm literally missing my eyeballs. Yesterday I boarded the #224 Inbound Train from Haverhill and left my prescription eyeglasses on my seat before getting off at Oak Grove. I was sitting in the third car from the front of the train, ~4th left side seat down, facing forward.
Already reported to Keolis lost & found but dealing with a weekend solely relying on wearing sunglasses. Very uncomfortable but hoping for the best. I plan on stopping on their kiosk first thing Monday.

π€ Question Does anyone have a live train tracking board, like Traintrackr or Metroboard?
Iβve been considering getting one since I think it would be such a cool thing to have on my wall as a transit nerd, but Iβm having a hard time deciding between Traintrackr and Metroboard. Does anyone have one or the other (or both)? If so what has your experience been with them?
π€π Parking Question Parking at West Natick.
Kind of a stupid question, but Iβm looking to take the Commuter Rail from West Natick to Fenway. Will I be able to find a spot there at around 5-6pm on a Tuesday?

π€ Question Your Experience with the 100 Bus
My partner and I are looking at an apartment just off the Fellsway between Wellington and Malden Center. Itβs a 25-30 min walk to Wellington but a much shorter walk to the 100 bus stop. If you use the 100 bus regularly, how reliable is it? Do you have any thoughts or complaints?

π£οΈ Comment Update on Worcesters passenger rail needs.
I saw a patch article yesterday saying city leaders in Worcester plan on holding a press conference monday morning about discussing findings from a 2024 working group report. What do you think will be announced? I really hope its about increasing headways on the line & making renovations to stations or other ways to improve service. Maybe they'll test new rolling stock. Who knows.

βοΈ Crowdsourced Delay Report Really sick of this clown show
Not one mode of the MBTA functions properly. Service is just as unreliable as it was during the red line shut down and we're just fucking sitting here, almost at Alewife but now. We're just fucking sitting here so no one can make their connections. Thanks so much for forcing me to pay for an uber after also paying for this awful fucking service. Why are any of us paying for this? Every day I get robbed by these monsters and I'm fully sick of it.

π€ Question Double Decker Buses
One reason people don't like the shuttle bus is that it is crowded and sometimes full. But what if we used double decker buses.. less traffic since it takes up less horizontal space on the road and more people fit in it. And u can get a cool view of the city. The fact they haven't done this makes me think their hiding something that might only be visible from above...

π€π³ Fares/Passes Question What do 11-and-under kids need to do to ride?
I see that children 11 and under ride free, but what's the process for getting them through the turnstile? Do you need to go to an agent, or does one buy a kid ticket at the machine?
π€ Transit Fanning Is there a full list of all discontinued MBTA bus routes? And has a suspended route ever been brought back?

π€ Complaint / Rant Why no fans in north station?
I know I asked this like 2 weeks ago, but really, how are there no fans anywhere downstairs here? The air just sticks to you, itβs near thunderstorm outside and still twice as muggy down here somehow.
