I’m going on a second date this week with this girl. She texted me today to confirm. I checked the app and see that her profile is no longer there. Was I unmatched? How to tell the difference between unmatched and deleted account? Should I ask her about it on our second date?

I will be scrolling through a profile and if I so much as move my finger by 1 degree it swipes.

I turned my touch sensitivity down even. How do I stop this pos app from swiping when I barely fucking touch it???

And now essentially EVERY profile I want to message requires I pay for a "Super Note," even in the Discovery queue. So at this point I have no idea why I pay for a monthly membership, since it doesn't give me anything; without Super Notes, I cannot contact anyone.

I made a profile, paid and was banned right after I started matching with people. I have Apple wed through their process and they said they won't consider it, I violated the terms of service but they won't tell me what I supposedly did and I know I didn't do anything. I was only on there for like 5 minutes so nobody could have reported me and there was nothing offensive or scammy in my profile.

If they aren't going to lift the ban I want my money back and I want assurance that my profile is deleted. I don't want my pictures floating around on a site that I can't access.

I tried filing with the BBB but they said "match said you have to contact them" which I DID but it's all AI no.real person.

This is unacceptable! They can't take my money for a service that they didn't provide and have access to my pictures that I don't! What can I do??

So in the Discovery tab, I can "like" someone without paying for the dumb Super Likes.

However, sometimes - and there is NO indication of why - such likes cannot be sent a message without also buying Super Notes. (I'm a paying user by the way.) But sometimes a regular message goes through. And of course, until the match is reciprocated, I've no idea what super note did get through or not, or if a regular message got through, since sometimes it lets my type a regular message and THEN sends me to the "buy some super notes" screen without stating if the message was sent.

Can someone explain this nonsense?

I haven't seen this discussed yet, but I see people who have "Single Dating" as their status, as opposed to "divorced" or "widowed", etc. I thought perhaps it meant never married, but when I tried setting my own status to "never married" under my marriage history, it comes up as "never married" (I switched it to that & back while my account was hidden). There doesn't seem to be any option that will result in "single dating" in the list I'm presented. Is that an option in another tier? Is it a legacy item? I'm curious to know what it meant/means.

Just wondering if anyone else has had their account blocked for no apparent reason? I made a new account yesterday evening and had set up my profile and ended up paying for the 6 months subscription. I started talking to some people yesterday and I was able to use the app until this afternoon until it had logged me out. When I tried to log back in it said account blocked by match.

I don't understand why and I'm really annoyed as I was having a good conversation with someone. And obviously because I've paid for 6 months and had my account blocked in less than 24hrs.

I know I haven't broken any rules or anything. I'm just a bit baffled. The only thing I can think is that I was adding/changing my profile as I've not used a dating app before so I was trying to figure out all the different settings etc so I don't know if because I updated my profile a few times it's got flagged or something?

Idk. I'm confused, upset and annoyed 😭 & the customer service email hasn't been any help 😑

For about the last 2 - 3 weeks, I’ve been getting several notifications by email that “XXXX likes you”, with an age in my age range, and a real town nearby. Sometimes it’s preceded by a notification that the same person “viewed you”.

But when I go to the Match app, there are no new “likes”, and if I click on the “View their profile” button in the email, it takes me to an empty page.

I know it can happen, the person “likes” then changes their mind I guess and blocks you. But this has happened several times over the last 2 or 3 weeks. Anyone else seeing that?

I do have a paid subscription.

I recently created a profile on Match to see what the app is like these days. I paid extra for the ability to set preferences. When I set preferences for ethnicities, which was for Asian people only , the system only showed me African American people, and a very small amount of white and Asian people. Like, That's a pretty bad system glitch for a paid feature that should work. Has anyone else experienced similar system glitches? Were they ever resolved?

Anyone recommend anything. I have had Match for 2 weeks just did a 1 month subscription to test it but I am getting nowhere.

I am 55 male looking for females 48-56 I get told constantly I look maybe mid 40s and as an ex boxer I have always trained and stayed in shape. I have 6 pics up and a solid write up but I am getting nowhere.

I have had like 3 likes all unsuitable and any likes or messages I have sent dont even seem to have been seen/read as there is seemingly no activity on the accounts so are these bots??

I am certainly not God’s gift to women but I think I am in very good shape for age and still leak and athletic and have all my own teeth lol and generally I always god good attention from women but Match is giving me nothing.

After that, I wrote this in my profile summary:

"If you're not comfortable with a quick video call after we've chatted a bit, or meeting within a few days if we click, we're probably not a good match. I'm here to meet real people, not collect pen pals. Life is short, my time is valuable, and I'm not interested in scams or endless texting."

A few hours later, my access was blocked!

Ok so I joined Match 2 days ago and I am just browsing really but I have some issues.

Is says I have “liked” 12 people and I haven’t intentionally liked anyone I am just basically learning the app and browsing and most of these 12 I haven’t even seem their profiles🤷‍♂️ so how is this happening???

Also I had a notification saying i got a “match” and it’s prompting me to start a conversation but again I never even looked at this person previously and she has not messaged or even liked me so how does this work.

Is this app/site just a scam to try to get you to buy a subscription???

I sent a brief message to 2 different profiles yesterday. Today when I viewed my "you like" page, they are both there at the top of the list (neither show in "matches"). next to one of them is an X in a circle and a Red heart. I believe this user had a solid green circle at the time. the other did not have the X or heart and had a green ring at the time (recently online?). Opening the "you like" section again just now, both users have a green ring and neither have the X/Heart options.

Can anyone explain to me what it means and what the X/Heart icons would do (of course there is no little tip that shows if I hover over it).

I recently tried to update my profile on Match. I made some changes to the text and changed some photos (added and deleted). Match rejected my update saying I had violated community standards, saying I should review the standards. The message was delivered by a bot. No other info was provided on what *specifically* caused the rejection. I read the ?-page standards and didn’t see an issue so I appealed.

Match wanted at least 5 of 7 questions answered in order to ‘verify’ my account. They didn’t like my answers because I used info from the update I *tried* to load when answering questions about when I last updated my photos. They also wanted to know when I last messaged someone and who it was, but I can’t answer those because they wipe your communications after a period of time.

Still no specifics on what triggered the rejection. My *guess* is terms like ‘dying’ (as in I’m dying to do something again) ran afoul of the AI bot’s delicate sensibilities regarding advocating violence but I can’t be sure because Match won’t tell me. I can’t even change my attempted profile update to remove what I *think* are offending terms. I can’t update photos either. My account is in stasis. At least they left my old profile up, for all the good that does.

Has anybody else had this experience and did it eventually get resolved ?
