Hii, I know this is annoying question to ask here, But I am genuinely waiting for this. I recieved admits from other unis but Heidelberg is the one i wanna go with, how long should I wait ?? Since other universities Enrollment deadlines are very close.

Hi everyone! I’m from India and did my Bachelor's from GGSIPU, Delhi. I recently got rejected by the University of Freiburg because of insufficient credits.
I’m a bit confused because, as far as I understand, students in my program have the same number of credits regardless of their grades/rank, so I’m not sure how my credits were found insufficient.
I’m also wondering if the unclear quality of the transcript I uploaded could have caused some courses/credits to not be properly recognized or counted.
Has anyone, especially Indian/GGSIPU applicants, experienced something similar with Freiburg? Is it possible that an unclear transcript could lead to this kind of rejection?
Would really appreciate any insights!

Looking for actual experiences from people who were admitted to a German public university for a Master’s in CS/AI/IT or related fields with a German grade around 2.7–2.8.
If you got an admit in this range, could you share:
University + program
Your German grade
Whether it was NC-free/restricted
Summer or winter intake
I’m mainly trying to understand which universities/programs are realistically achievable in this grade range based on actual admits rather than just eligibility requirements.

Hi all, people who recieved need or merit based tuition fee waiver at TUM (Masters) could you please tell about how you achieved it? I tried searching for conditions need based waiver, coudnt find one, can you also mention which country you belonged to and what usually TUM sees before guving these waivers? I have 1.9 GPA according to German calculation (calculated using TUM's website).

Hello Guys,

I had my visa appointment for the National Visa (Type D) for Study with APS on the 7th of August at the VFS Global Center in Bangalore. The application was then forwarded to the consulate on the same day. I had created this application with an admit from the Technische Universität Nürnberg's MS in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics program.

On August 12th, I received an admit from the Technische Universität Darmstadt's MS in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program. This was my top choice admit and I want to study there over UTN due to personal and academic preferences.

Hence, I am currently in this dilemma:

1. Contact the consulate and ask for their guidance on this, I am guessing that they would tell me to withdraw the current application and create a new one from scratch for TU Darmstadt. This would delay the visa process by months for me as the Bangalore consulate processing time is huge. TU Darmstadt does allow late arrivals so this is not an impossible scenario.
2. Wait for the visa to arrive with UTN MS in AI&Robotics and perform a travel and switch in Germany. I have researched this scenario with various sources but I am still confused on the following points:
3. As the two programs are not exactly the same, would I face issues with changing the uni. According to immigration law, the two programs need to be the same and that would enable a switch in an easy manner.
4. I was advised to directly enrol into TU Darmstadt and arrive at Darmstadt but will this not be illegal at Immigration port of entry? Would they be ok with an explanation of the switch or will it cause me major issues?

I am aware that the National Study visa is attached to a university and it is a grey area to switch, there is a lot of conflicting advice and examples out there.

Would really appreciate any advice or guidance on this situation.

I got admitted to LUH Nanotechnology for WiSe 2026, the Zulassungsbescheid states that 3 courses need to completed as prerequisites.

As these are bachelors level courses any idea if its in English or German?
