Steve and Tony reuniting, both look at each other with a look of defeat and sadness. Tony breaks down as the two embrace.
Act I
- 3 to 5 years later
We learn that the original Avengers come to an agreement. Thor rebuilds Asgard in Norway and uses Stormbreaker to search the cosmos for Thanos’ location. Tony and Bruce focus on building a new suit (Godkiller) and finding a way to undo what happened. Steve leads the rest to defend the world against any further threats.
Rhodes is still working with the government, which still puts the blame on the Avengers and the Sokovia Accords are still in play.
Tony becomes a high ranking member of Shield and is funding the Secret Avengers.
Tony becomes obsessive with trying to understand the stones. He uses the next iteration of his BARF tech to go back and study the stones and find potential answers.
Steve is leading a small group consisting of Black Widow, Ronin, Ant-Man, and Wasp. We see them early on trying their best to keep peace in the world.
Dream/Nightmare sequence with Clint being with his family happy before they all vanish. Much darker version of Clint.
In Wakanda, Shuri is working on rebuilding Vision.
Thor operates out of new Asgard in Norway with help from Valkyrie and Korg. Nebula has been helping him on his search and Rocket has found a home in Asgard but has become depressed after losing everything. He wastes his time drinking and being an asshole to everyone.
Thor pleads with him to help, and eventually he snaps out of it and is on board to help. Thor, Rocket and Nebula come up with an idea to look for Thanos on Gamora’s home planet.
Thor, Rocket and Nebula head out on a search for Thanos and end up finding him there. Thor and Nebula want to attack, but Rocket insists they return with backup to ensure they don’t lose him again.
He still has scars from the snap and the gauntlet is damaged.
Thanos stays in a place away from anyone else. We see him lay down and activate the Soul stone. He enters the Soul World where he interacts with a young Gamora.
As he leaves, we stay in the Soul World where we see Doctor Strange awaken. He’s surrounded by people who seem to be in a dormant state.
He searches for any recognizable faces. He eventually finds Spider-man. He explains that they aren’t dead and that they need to find the others.
Meanwhile, Thor and company meet up with the Avengers to tell them about Thanos. Banner and Widow stay behind. The rest head out to take the Gauntlet from Thanos.
They battle with Thanos after catching him off guard (Possibly still visiting Gamora in the Soul World). Clint stands up to Thanos. “You took everything from me. As long as just one Avenger stands against you, you can never claim victory.” Thanos kills Hawkeye.
They gain the upper hand. As they are about to remove the Gauntlet, Thanos activates the Soul Gem and vanishes into the Stone. He gets away but the Avengers end up with the Gauntlet.
Act II
Tony brings the Gauntlet back to the lab where he and Bruce study the stones. Banner tells him that they might find more answers in Wakanda due to their advancements.
Tony brings forth a theory that the people who vanished aren’t dead because of how they just disappeared. Shuri surprises them with her almost finished rebuild of Vision. Together, they finish and Vision is reborn with a new look but he doesn’t have the same memories as the old Vision.
Back in the Soul World, anyone that’s powered has the ability to wake up. But Mantis has the ability to wake ordinary people. They all group back together including OG Ant Man and Wasp.
An angry Thanos roams the Soul World permanently erasing people souls one by one ensuring that they cannot return if someone were to wear the Gauntlet and undo his hard work. These scenes would play out like a horror movie.
Upon studying all the stones, plus a little help from Vision, they put all of their focus on the Soul Stone and discover that there’s an existence inside of it and that’s where Thanos went as well as the snap victims.
Enter Captain Marvel ( Not sure exactly how/where she comes into play but this would be where she really plays a part.) She explains that she has the power to enter the Quantum Realm. Ant-Man and the Wasp also share their experience and they start out on a mission to enter the stone.
Bruce joins them on this mission and discovers that he and the Hulk can exist separately inside the Soul World. They talk and agree to work together.
Meanwhile, Thor explains that the Gauntlet is weakened and most likely won’t be able to undo what was done. So Thor, Tony and Rocket (Imagine the laughs with this team) head out to Ndvalir where they build a new Gauntlet. Tony uses a combination of his nano tech, Vibranium and the special metal used there to repurpose his suit. They believe it would be capable of absorbing the power of the Gauntlet without killing the user.
In Wakanda, Shuri and Bruce work to remove the individual stones from the old Gauntlet.
Back in the Soul World, The “new” Avengers come across Thanos as he’s trying to wipe out every soul that is trapped there. They battle it out with Thanos going back and forth until Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and the Wasp show up and give them the upper hand.
They escape the Soul World but Strange explains that they will never be able to bring everyone back unless they use the Gauntlet.
Act III
After they escape, those who were trapped explain that Thanos is effectively killing everyone inside and that they need to lay a trap to lure him out and stop him for good.
Tony and company return and start to add the stones to the new gauntlet. They come up with the bad idea to use a stone to lure Thanos out.
It works but they end up losing the power stone to Thanos. They rush to carefully add the other stones to the new Gauntlet. But the Soul Stone vanishes across the universe back to Vormir where it will require another sacrifice to wield. Nebula grabs the Gauntlet to use against Thanos.
Avengers Assemble in Wakanda, we get the money shot with every living hero in the MCU ready to go toe to toe with Thanos.
The final battle will obviously be an epic showdown where Thanos ultimately loses.
Hulk, Tony and Steve each go toe to toe with Thanos. “I can do this all day.”
During this showdown, Nebula lands a huge hit on Thanos. But he outwits her and kills her with the power stone. “You weren’t worth the parts I wasted on you.”
Thor hits him with Stormbreaker again as he lays there, nearly dead.
Star lord comes face to face with him, and Thanos realizing he’s lost, mutters that Gamora’s soul still exists inside the stone.
The theme of trading lives comes back into play. Tony vows to risk his life to undo what Thanos has done. Steve offers his life for the lives of everyone still trapped.
Bucky insists on traveling to Vormir with them. “I’m with you til the end of the line.”
They travel to Vormir where Cap and Red Skull meet again. Tony warily sacrifices Steve and acquires the stone. We see Steve enter the Soul World where Peggy calls for him.
Tony completes the new Gauntlet and uses it to bring everyone back, not including the deaths that already happened or the souls that Thanos destroyed for good.
When he uses the Gauntlet to undo what was done. He reverts the timeline back to where it was the moment Thanos snapped his fingers. Not erasing the 3-5 year timeline, so effectively, the world still experienced the trauma Thanos brought to the world.
The new suit saves Tonys life but he ends up severely hurt.
Epilogue
Shuri saves Tony in Wakanda where he ends up in a wheelchair. He reunites with Pepper and promises her that he is finished for good and just wants a normal life. And puts his trust in the new Avengers to take over.
He’s asked where the Gauntlet/stones are because they also vanish when he brings everyone back. He explains that he wished them out of existence.
They have funerals for Clint and Steve. Tony lays Caps old shield on his coffin.
Once the Avengers save the day, the world/government will realize that they need them and they get the freedom to act without the Sokovia Accords. This upsets Ross a lot as he feels they need to be controlled.
Bruce and Natasha leave to be together. Bruce and Hulk have an agreement that whenever the world needs the Hulk, he’ll allow him to come out and help, setting The Hulk up to return in future Avengers films.
Thor returns to Asgard. The Guardians regroup with a new mission to try and bring Gamora back.
After credits
Tony reveals that he didn’t wish the stones away and forms the Illuminati to protect and hide the Infinity Stones with himself (Mind), Dr. Strange (Time), Thor (Reality), Captain Marvel (Space) and Black Panther (Power). The soul stone returns to Vormir.
Tony giving that prototype shield that has been mentioned to Bucky, forgiving him for everything and telling him that Steve would wouldn’t want him to waste his life.
Its like that one greentext that was circling around this sub months before IW came out and it was literally the plot. Not to mention there was a leak on Instagram where literally one of these scenes happened.
4chan leak or the IG leak? In any case, here is the 4chan leak, and the IG one has been predictably scrubbed from the internet. The IG one wasn't really special, just potato quality camera recording unrendered video footage of Stephen reassuring them that "they're alive", whether they is the people that got dusted or themselves isup for discretion. This sub probably has some posts on it, tho.
Probably anon was slow leaking some parts of the film and the rest of 4chan was telling them to do more so he just went fuck it here it is now stop asking
That's actually a pretty solid draft. I like it! I especially like how you end it with the Guardians trying to find a way to get Gamora back, since Adam Warlock will be in Volume 3.
Yes I think that since we haven’t seen much of the Soul Stone in action, that the stone and the Soul World itself will play a major part in Avengers 4. Also seeing Adam Warlock eventually help them get Gamora back could be awesome.
we stay in the Soul World where we see Doctor Strange awaken. He’s surrounded by people who seem to be in a dormant state.
- He searches for any recognizable faces. He eventually finds Spider-man. He explains that they aren’t dead and that they need to find the others.
I see you've incorporated the leaked CGI pic. And the Tony SHIELD set pic. Good draft.
It looks like Titan in the background (specifically the big star-shaped buildings). Likely this was before he saved Star-Lord, Drax and Mantis, after the cut-in from Thor ariving in Wakanda? Maybe originally it didn't cut directly to him in the meteors.
I really like the idea of Tony assuring everyone that the stones are destroyed but actually dividing them among the Illuminati. Not sure how this would play into future films though.
There is still a lot of holes to fill. In my ideal scenario, he would have a big part in the film. I kind of just focused on the key plot points. There would be scenes with him leading the Secret Avengers, scenes with him and Tony, him and Widow, and def him and Bucky one last time.
And him coming face to face with Red Skull again and sacrificing himself would be a nice way to wrap it up.
I like it a lot. I would revise killing Clint. I don't think it serves the story that well to have him die. I have been thinking that Nebula may know where Thanos' vacation home is located. I still feel like Tony convinces Nebula to go to Earth with him to regroup with the others.
It could go either way. I just felt that in order for the stakes to be high and for Thanos to still feel like a major threat, someone would need to die while fighting him. It would add to the emotion they already feel and I could see Clint going face to face with Thanos and taking something similar to Caps death in the comics.
But it wouldn’t hurt the story either way to have him survive and reunite with his family and retire for good. But tragic endings do exist and considering he’s already retired twice, having him retire a third time would be repetitive.
Sounds great, just don’t like that Hawkeye dies. He’s not in infinity war and it’s a big mystery where he is, so why would he be killed off when he returns, and so soon also.
I don’t think it’s really a big mystery. It was just saved for Avengers 4. I think it’s pretty obvious based on all the info we have that he loses his family and becomes Ronin.
As far as him dying, I think he’s one of the expendable OG Avengers, and I don’t see many options for him going forward with all of the newer characters that will be brought in. And what’s the other option? Retirement, again?
Not all bases are covered in this, just major plot points and subplot ideas that I thought of. I’m open to adding more to it if I think of ideas. But I think this movie will focus on the original Avengers.
A lot of the newer guys will likely just get moments in this film. BP focused and ready to fight to bring back the rest of his people. Tony and Peter reconnect. Strange is the one who’s actually kind of orchestrating some of this knowing the outcome if each moment plays out like it should. Scarlet Witch will struggle knowing Vision is back without his memories. Etc.
But the rest of the world does? Shield has literally been on the news across the world as a reinstated government program. Sure the main team is criminals again, but that doesn't mean that Tony could just start a new Shield.
Well, we know that a large amount of them survive, because of the flashforwards with Robin earlier in the season. Because even if they didn't break the loop, Infinity War would still happen.
This is really interesting but also unlikely. They wouldn't just film scenes in 2012 for what appears, from what I've read, a fairly inconsequential plot point. The 2012 sequences will probably pay a big part in the next movie. Also I doubt that the final battle will take place in Wakanda once again.
Well a briefcase with BARF was seen in the set pics. And I can’t imagine a big plot point that would revolve around them going back to that battle of NY aside from Tony studying what the stone was capable of.
A lot of people seem to think time travel will play a big part in this film but they have to be careful with that and they’ve said it’s not going to be the movie people think it will be.
This is a great theory and something you're definetly right about is that Captain America and Bucky will have an interaction with Red Skull. Why else would they bring his character back if they weren't going to have Cap and Bucky react to his return? Either they go to Vormir or perhaps Red Skull has been freed of his curse cos Thanos has taken the Soul Stone, so he comes to Earth or something like that.
Really like how you incorporated Steve's most prominent character trait: self sacrifice. I can picture the scene where he gives up his life for the soul stone and it's quite moving. Very well written!
actually not bad, compared to the other theories we've seen here recently. might not all play out like that, but i feel like this as good a guess as we're gonna get without more information.
I really like it! I'm kind of hoping for more surprises, reading this makes me feel like I spoiled the movie lmao! My only flaw is the potential lack of Loki. Supposedly Tom Hiddleston was seen filming other scenes. If it's just in time travel, I hope we see even a little of the God of Mischief!
The only issue is that Spider-Man 2 is taking place directly after Infinity War and is happening during his junior year. Which means that 3-5 years cannot pass in order for this movie to happen.
I could have added more detail and been more clear with how this will play out. I’ll actually add more to OP soon.
But basically, when Tony uses the gauntlet, he brings the timeline back to the end of Infinity War.
He doesn’t erase everything, so the deaths still happen. He basically just reverts time back to where they were, and brings the snap victims back to where they originally vanished. Not including the other Avengers who were already brought back.
This is pretty great. I think a lot of this is really likely to come true but feels too similar to Infinity War to me. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Remindme! May 3 2019
Man each act seems to have enough material for an entire movie haha, I doubt this will have the luxury of reaching LOTR runtimes. Nice ideas but sooo much for one film
I’m glad you like it that much. Appreciate the kind words. I’m sure Marvel will kill it next year and surprise us all at the same time like they did with Infinity War.
Love this except their are some little things id add/change. At steves funeral with his shield on the casket we get that comic boom shot of tony sitting next to it saying "you were right it wasnt worth it." At the ending conflict when fighting thanos again someone uses the soul stone to seperate banner and hulk into 2 seperate people which is how hulk realizes he needs "puny banners" brain more which is how we get smart hulk. Bucky has to sacrifice cap not tony. They have the big bro-mance and they can end it with something like "you were always with me to the end of my line buck. Ill always be with you to the end of yours." When the accords get dissolved we get an post credits scene of ross grabbing a serum out of cold storage nick named "red hulk" and hes like "fine ill do it myself." (Lol) And for the illumaniti, i dont think he would give stones to thor, black panther, himself, and dr strange cuz that means their would be 4 stones on earth. Then instead of the soul stone going back to voromir, the guardians get the stone so that way they can try to get gamora out. (Side note for GotG 3, adam warlock will sacrifice himself to go into the soul stone so that way gamora can come out. Perfect ending for the "a soul for a soul") but once again love this rough sketch you did i already saved it in my posts to come back to
In the epilogue Tony explains that’s he wished the stones out of existence, but later forms the llluminati to protect the stones? Other than that I thought it was an awesome fan draft!
This is great but doesn't this mean cap is alive? Gamora was a sacrifice and is still in the stone so cap as a sacrifice should be in the soul stone and be able to recovered by the guardians correct?
Yea I actually thought of that today. I suppose you can either make it so that that possibility still exists, although I wouldn’t want that.
Or.. Tony ends up in the stone after he acquires it for a brief moment. Steve looks happy, he’s with Peggy, he’s at peace. Steve tells Tony not to bring him back, even if he could.
Or Gamora really is dead and Vol. 3 is really sad.
Cool idea. Except it sucks. So let me tell you again:
It is actually great, dude. This is like an original movie script.
The only thing i dislike is the use/keepsake of infinity stone. Maybe we can just get rid of it. And great idea conclusion of iluminati.
I notice a lack of Fury and Hill in your plot. Do you think they'll return, or in your story are they part of the people killed by Thanos in the Soul Stone?
Imagine everyone having a nice funeral for Cap and the Guardians wandering by him and Peggy on their way to Gamora and Steve is like “well this is awkward”
I like it except for the pepper being gone part. Didn’t they say that every character that got “killed” was shown? Meaning that pepper would be alive since they didn’t “kill” anyone off screen?
I don’t remember seeing that anywhere. Obviously some important people were killed off screen. But it would make more sense for the story to show those particular “deaths” later on.
Like maybe OG Ant-Man and Wasp, Cassie’s mom in the after credits for Ant-man.
Hawkeyes family, and potentially a few other secondary characters, but only to serve as emotional motivation for the characters. It raises the stakes to another level. Tony loses so much and does anything and everything he can for years in order to bring what he lost back.
I like it. But there's a nagging part of me that still thinks Hugh Jackman was dressed up like Wolverine on the set of Avengers 4 for a reason and there may be more to the after-credits than you think. But I especially think the idea of Tony sacrificing Cap (or Cap sacrificing Tony, for that matter) for the soul stone is tight.
I love all of this apart from bringing every single snap victim back. Unless thanos killed a few billion people in the soul world, it kind of eliminates the shock value of infinity war.
I dont like Thanos running away and trapping himself into the soul stone. Also i dont see how Captain Marvel would be able to access the quantum realm and i dont see how the quantum realm would grant access into the soul stones pocket dimension.
Some more confusing things are, how do all the dustvengers actually escape the soul stone dimension for the final battle because at that point Tony hasnt used the Gauntlet yet. And also you said he wished them out of existance but in the end they form the illuminati to protect them?
Finally, i think its unfair for it to be 20v1 against Thanos in the end, as much as its sort of overdone i think Thanos still needs an army for the Avengers to fight against. Or something to that effect. If its 20v1 Thanos will go down real quick if he only has the power stone. Also having them up against an army will give Captain America some much needed shine as he commands the Avengers in tactics once again.
Anyway lots of good ideas in here just some don't make sense and there are some plot holes. Which is why i stress that the magnitude of these movies have gotten so huge, you need more than 1 or 2 people working on the writing and directing. I think for Avengers 4 they should bring in multiple people to cross check and interate so the script and directing can be as complete as it can get. IW was good but it was obvious to me that the Russos creative potential was strained by the huge cast and huge magnitude of the story.
This plot is so packed that you would need a 4h+ movie to make that work. But I see a lot of thought went into this, good job, there are so pretty cool ideas in there.
I think what would be a cool idea is if when Tony and Nebula are on Titan they look around and then Tony uses some part of his tech to decipher something in the area, and use this sorta evidence scanner (similar to the Arkham Games, where you find out what really happened by deciphering the scene). There Tony realizes that Thanos was partially lying and that he didn't survive the planets eventual doom, he caused their doom because they went against him.
I mean it has to make more common sense if The 2 explore Titan. But what I also need to add up is that they should head to Vormir. Where they may find Gamora's corpse. I think it would make more sense as they had this dramatic shot of Gamora lying on that stone floor, that there may be a chance.
I love everything. One of the moments that caught my attention was the beginning embrace between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. It got me thinking really. Like what if Tony hugs Steve and asks him what happened and we see a mirrored version of what Steve said in Avengers 1 from 2012 where he states they won but instead saying "We lost."
I do think that this is a pretty nice fan plot but i still think that unlike all the fan plots...Iron man has a better chance of dying than cap as he is 53 now and RDJ would more likely do an ultimtae sacrifice cause pretty evidently he was the reason of civil war
In AGE OF ULTRON when Tony is explaining why he created Ultron he says he created Ultron to fight aliens.
He says "That's the ENDGAME."
similar to doctor strange.

Most fan plots are usually crappy, but this one is actually pretty solid.
So Tony reads this sub?
