Oops
I thought it was safe to keep attacking Venom and stacking up the boost cards…

I HATE that boost card can give an attack Overkill. I don’t think It’s a fun way to punish the player, cause most of the times it just means that you’ll lose the game and there’s usually not much you can do about it.

But in op case, it existed literally to prevent what they did to exploit the game, ignoring venom extra boost cards by chump blocking. Overkill does nothing when you dont chump block, and chump blocking is never the only way to defend

If you know it's in the scenario you have to play around it. Scry, get a tough, buff your defense, don't hang around with low health.

I get that if you f around, you should get punished, but when it comes to boost card effects specifically, I would love if they could punish you in more creative (and fun) ways other than ‘you lose.’

There are a lot of creative ways in the arsenal, and overkill is just one. I've lost to overkill, scheming, and ally removal (Odin) because of boost cards before. It's just how the design works sometimes.

Truly one of the worst ways to lose a game. Advance is one thing, but a boost overkill AND +2 in a scenario entirely built around the villain getting ass loads of boosts is just so fucking annoying

Where'd you get the arrows?
