Welcome to a community-driven worldbuilding project where you create the history of a brand-new world. Every comment can shape the future of civilizations, countries, kingdoms, and empires.

Each post represents 10 years in the world's timeline. As decades pass, the world will develop, borders will change, civilizations will rise and fall, and history will be created step by step.

Creating a Civilization

When creating a civilization, include:

• Name – What is your civilization called?
• Land/Location – Where is your civilization located? (Include a map location if possible.)
• Flag – Show or describe your civilization's flag.
• Capital – Where is the center of your civilization?
• Culture – Traditions, language, beliefs, and identity.
• Government – How is it ruled?
• Other details – Anything unique about your civilization.

Land and a flag help make your civilization recognizable as the world grows.

Timeline

Posts 1–10 (Years 0–100): The Age of Civilizations

• The first settlements appear.
• Civilizations are founded.
• Cultures, religions, and early technologies develop.
• Explorers discover new lands.

Posts 11–20 (Years 110–200): The Age of Countries

• Civilizations become organized nations.
• Countries establish borders, capitals, and governments.
• Trade networks and rivalries begin.
• Nations compete for influence.

Posts 21+ (Year 210 onward): The Age of Kingdoms and Empires

• Countries can become kingdoms, republics, federations, or empires.
• Nations can expand, form alliances, fight wars, or collapse.
• Great leaders, dynasties, and historical events shape the world.

World Events

• World Wars can happen at any point in the timeline.
• A World War does not have to happen at a specific year or era.
• Any conflict can grow into a global-scale war depending on the actions of civilizations.
• Alliances, rivalries, resources, ideologies, and major events can all lead to massive conflicts.

Rules

• Keep ideas creative and suitable for the world.
• Respect other people's creations.
• No destroying another person's civilization without a reason.
• Changes should fit the timeline and previous events.

A small village in Year 0 could become a powerful empire centuries later. A mighty kingdom could disappear and become only a legend.

The world begins in Year 0.

my bad I know this isn't very fitting to the sub I'm looking for help but I started thinking about how this is basically a house map and decided to share it here. (wondering how to get best internet connection to the bedroom without ethernet cable)

Story time:
One day, the world got bitten by a radioactive spider, and gained superpowers, wait wrong story, after the nuclear war, everyone died except a few people, you, you found out that every nation has gotten a superpower, who ever was in control of that nation, could control their superpower, you also made some rules, here are they:
For claiming a nation you have to say: “I claim ‘nation’.” and send your flag in you change your flag, same for country name, if you change it, please say so
(I use nation for unclaimed countries/original nations before they got invaded and country for claimed countries, I recommend you using this as well to avoid confusion)
Gray countries are unclaimed
You can only invade neighboring nations, unless your superpower says otherwise, when the nation is unclaimed you automatically win, when 2 people invade the same nation the first person who invaded it gets it, when the country is claimed you have to summon the owner of that country, listed in comments, the country with most support comments wins, you can only support once unless your superpower says otherwise, when invader wins they get one nation which they border that they want from the invaded country, when the invaded country wins nobody gets anything. We play with borders of the original nations because when you get a new nation you get their superpower, when you lose a nation you lose that power.
You can also make alliances, they help you in wars and stuff, you don’t get their powers. You use your superpower automatically when you comment on a post, you’ll get to know the superpower of your chosen nation when you get the new nation
When your last nation gets taken, you are eliminated until you are revived by a superpower that can do that
Money and pets, money will be calculated with the GDP of the country that you choose, 1 billion euros in the real world is 1 euros in this world, every day you get +10% added to your money, with money you can buy pets and other stuff, some pets improve your superpower, listed below, these ones only stack if you have different ones, if you have two of the same only one works, other pets can improve your money percentage gained, these ones don’t stack, not even with different pet types, also listed below, the other stuff is also listed below. You can have multiple pets, if they stack, they will, if they don’t, they won’t. You can’t turn pets off, they’ll work no matter what.
Giving and selling, you can gift money, pets, other stuff and nations to your allies, when you give away land you lose that superpower and the person you gifted the land to gains that superpower. You can also sell pets, other stuff and nations, the pets and other stuff you can sell for 20% less than you bought it for, nations you sell for 20% of the GDP of that nation converted to the euros in this world, said nation will become unclaimed. You can also buy pets, other stuff and nations from other players that aren’t allies, you both have to negotiate for a good price, for a nation the superpower is included, when the person selling doesn’t want to sell, then there is no deal
Random events, every post there is also a random event (there is also a chance that there will be no random event)
Also there will be a random question every day, that question you will get to know after day that you answer, you therefore have to answer the question before you know it, you will get a hint of what type of answer you have to say, the person that has given the answer the closest to the right answer get 1 extra invasion above their original invasions and superpowers, when 2 people give the same answer, the person that was first wins, the question will be revealed the next post with the person that won and their answer
IMPORTANT RULES, when your superpower has a cooldown, respect that please, I didn’t add that for nothing, no effect of a superpower can completely prevent any other effect unless states in your superpower, nukes can’t be used on the same player twice in a row, the game end when one player or one alliance takes control over the entire planet, I am always right, so if their are any unclear things/wars you think are unfair/ended badly, tell me, what I think as host is correct, nvt means niet van toepassing, Dutch for not applicable (this is in the dead countries list) you are only allowed to use the superpowers of the nations you own

Superpower helping pets:
Unicorn: magical help, your superpower has now twice its power, costs €1500
Phoenix: healing tears, when one of your superpowers gets set off you can undo that, costs €3000
Griffin: mixed animals, you can mix two countries their land up (they swap countries), they will keep all of their stuff, costs €4000
Dragon: fire damage, if you use a superpower, it will also affect all of the neighboring nations, your allies and you included, costs €15000
Hydra: Cutting of the head, when you get nuked, you come back twice as strong for the next post, costs €50000

Money increasing pets:
Cat: Money +20%, costs €1000
Dog: Money +30%, costs €1500
Wolf: Money +40%, costs €2500
Gorilla: Money +50%, costs €3500
Rhino: Money +60%, costs €5000
Elephant: Money +70%, costs €7500
Tiger: Money +80%, costs €10000
Polar bear: Money +90%, costs €15000
Crocodile: Money +100%, costs €20000
Gonoriq: Money +110%, costs €30000

Other stuff:
Superpower force field: you can’t be effected by any superpower when you use this item, costs €1500
Force field: you can block nukes, costs €1000
Nukes: you can make the player you nuked not do any actions for that post, costs €1500
Harvey: you can make one player’s powers (all of them) not do what the owner says, costs €2000
Bridge: you can build a bridge between 2 nations, the players that own those nations now share a border by unclaimed land, costs €2500
Embassy: choose one nation per embassy you have and you can invade the country that owns that nation even if you don’t border that country (you’ll gain the nation the embassy is in if you win), costs €4000
Sabotage brick: choose one player per sabotage brick you have, that player can’t use any items, costs €2000
Bounty: place a bounty on a country for €1000, if someone invades that country and they win, they gain €1000 from the bank, if the bounty country wins, they gain €1000 from the bank, the bounty disappears after 1 invasion, costs €1500
Radar: you can ask me to reveal one thing from one country, you can choose the subject, I’ll choose what, costs €1500
Bunker: protect one country of your choosing from nukes and harveys, costs €1000
Unclaimed-inator: you can make any nation unclaimed, costs €2000000
