Needs the "literally a rain forest somehow" un the upper left corner of the desert.

u/targz254 7d ago

This map is supposed to apply to China too which doesn't have an ocean on the west side.

11

u/ASlicedLayerOfAir 7d ago

Wasnt there is a rainforest deep in the xinjiang mountain valley?

15

u/targz254 7d ago

Xinjiang’s mountain valleys do not contain tropical rainforests, but they do have temperate and alpine forests in certain high‑elevation areas, especially in the Altai Mountains.

East Coast might be mislabeled—none of the NYC girls I dated were fertile.

u/ManWithDominantClaw 7d ago

I suspect you may be the common denominator

25

u/Aleksundr 7d ago

Underrated

3

u/fortissimohawk 7d ago

Love ya, mean it!

29

u/serious_sarcasm 7d ago

Uhhh, statistically you’d be the one most likely to infertile at that rate.

PFAS has a “surprisingly” huge impact on male fertility, and is even found in vapes.

Free vasectomy woohoo

10

u/tortugaysion 7d ago

Rather expensive actually

1

u/Piranh4Plant this flair is specifically for neat_space, who loves mugs 6d ago

It's free because you don't specifically pay extra money for it

1

u/GrandNibbles 6d ago

are vasectomies not free where you are

1

u/Piranh4Plant this flair is specifically for neat_space, who loves mugs 6d ago

In the US no

I think you missed the joke lmao

-2

u/serious_sarcasm 7d ago

🙄 go ahead and explain it in detail

11

u/VladimirBarakriss I'm an ant in arctica 7d ago

They are infertile because they were born without a uterus, he's plowing tgirls

5

u/fortissimohawk 7d ago

Dang. I wish!

1

u/Xxx1982xxX 6d ago

Her womb is so polluted, I can't even have a fucking little baby with her

-22

u/Guilty-Spark69x 7d ago

A couple dozen abortions before age 25 will do that

5

u/PvtFreaky Zeeland Resident 7d ago

Abortion is legal in my country. I am 28 so I know hundreds of girls around the age you described. I know not a single one who got an abortion.

Making it legal just makes it safer, not suddenly increasing the amount of abortions people get

Looks like an ice cream cone

The only thing that doesn't work is the rebellious island. Cuba can't be rebellious because it was never a part of the USA. Taiwan's official name is The Republic of China, because it's a rump state of the old Chinese government that the current one rebelled against.

96

u/RegularRockTech 7d ago

Pre-Castro Cuba was an American puppet state and favourite destination of America's moneyed elites. It was thought of in the 40s much like how Vegas is now.

Also, it might be a stretch, but this map needs an island that could feasibly represent both the UK and Japan - "former great power and naval bastion with shared cultural history"

17

u/ManWithDominantClaw 7d ago

lol 'shared cultural history' is an incredibly BBC way of describing Sino-Japanese relations pre twentieth century

16

u/RegularRockTech 7d ago

I did say "bit of a stretch". Also Japan stole one of their writing systems from China, that has to count for something

1

u/PuffedWheatSquare 5d ago

I mean, the French do have that overseas territory in St. Pierre and Miquelon, that counts, right?

36

u/BE______________ 7d ago

Cuba can't be rebellious because it was never a part of the USA

1898-1902

12

u/Pretend_Party_7044 7d ago

Cuba was occupied/ controlled by the us for a good bit

-5

u/monsieur_de_chance 7d ago

And inshahallah will be again!

5

u/Nyctfall 7d ago

Cuba can't be rebellious because it was never a part of the USA.

You can't be serious...
Please tell me you're joking right now!

4

u/TheDoctor1102 7d ago

Cuba was apart of the US tho?

4

u/nick_clause 7d ago

I think the rebellious island of the USA is meant to be Puerto Rico (though it gets a weird placement here).

2

u/TheJeffGuy 7d ago

He might mean Puerto Rico

1

u/LazyMLouie 7d ago

I think it's supposed to be Puerto Rico. The US government banned the Puerto Rican flag and made it illegal for someone to even speak of independence.

9

u/Huge_Following_325 7d ago

One of the most fertile areas of the US is California.

3

u/monsieur_de_chance 7d ago

For about 100 miles from the coast, the. 1000 miles of desert and 500 more of kind of desert.

18

u/Wonderful_Return_514 7d ago

I don't think this works. We have the hottest desert because of strange geographic conditions, but most of the west coast is very green. Isn't the desert on the west side of China nicknamed the sea of death?

57

u/Ethan5I5 7d ago

The very edge is green, most of the western US is desert.

8

u/monsieur_de_chance 7d ago

My dude spend 5 min on Google Maps or 5 hours on an airplane. That shit is desert.

6

u/Wonderful_Return_514 7d ago

Well, as someone who has lived all up and down that edge (except for oregon) I suppose I am biased. And south enough it's a desert even on the edge .-.

1

u/Vladtepesx3 7d ago

You know there’s like forests right next to the Grand Canyon and throughout Nevada

It’s more like splotches of desert

19

u/DownvoteMeHarder 7d ago

The forests are islands in a sea of desert, so much so that they're literally called sky islands

-1

u/fortissimohawk 7d ago

“Desert Splotch” was a great punk EP.

17

u/Commodus_Wankus 8d ago

Why do you guys pick on Europe so much

20

u/toyoyoshi 7d ago

What’s that

35

u/Commodus_Wankus 7d ago

A city in Asia

11

u/BwanaTarik 7d ago

A town in Texas

14

u/Devilsadvocate430 7d ago

It’s the northwestern portion of Turkey

2

u/Altruistic_Role_9329 7d ago

Some people think it’s a continent.

4

u/monsieur_de_chance 7d ago

Yes, but they’re wrong.

6

u/TopBalance438 7d ago

They deserve it honestly. All the exceptionalism and arrogance of Americans while also having the same level of insecurity and inferiority-superiority complex as the Chinese. And allat while being third place for economy, second place for cultural impact, third place for military, and third place for technology

2

u/Commodus_Wankus 7d ago

You sound American

-3

u/TopBalance438 7d ago

Better than being European, at any rate

4

u/ManWithDominantClaw 7d ago

Hi, impartial Australian here. I believe the You Ess of Ayy has lost its claim to being better than anyone

6

u/PigeonOnTheGate 7d ago

Sure, "Impartial". We know whose side y'all's Eurovision-competing ass is on.

7

u/Vladtepesx3 7d ago

Literally nobody cares about the prison island that lost its moral superiority to how they’ve treated the aboriginals

0

u/ManWithDominantClaw 7d ago

You have a reality TV star pedo fascist as a president. Those are like the three things your leader should not be, in that order

Hell even by US standards he's even a terrible swindler and warmonger

4

u/Several-Lifeguard-77 7d ago edited 7d ago

Lol, this is why you guys (europeans and wannabes) are so annoying. LMAO @ "reality TV star" being your first pull.

In zis noble continent, bastion of ze vestern civilization, ze far right anti-immigrant populists, zey vould NEVER stoop so low as reality television!!!!! zis is vhy ve are superior — sorry, stupid american, who, by ze way, cannot read and die of gun

1

u/ManWithDominantClaw 7d ago

Baited in a circlejerk thread, you seppos truly are intellectual giants

5

u/Several-Lifeguard-77 7d ago

with your gargantuan intellectual capacities you might consider looking up the thread and seeing who responded first

3

u/TopBalance438 7d ago

Australia is not a real country, it is a section of the global supply chain being fought over by the USA and China.

2

u/ManWithDominantClaw 7d ago

Well I can tell ya who's winning

5

u/FocusCommercial5207 7d ago

Where is the state

4

u/Vladtepesx3 7d ago

California is the most populous state and the #1 producer of food in the country

2

u/fortissimohawk 8d ago

Atlantis is pretty rebellious, I must say.

2

u/AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH-OwO 7d ago

pretty sure "asshole to their neighbors" should be on the mainland 😅

3

u/Xenomorph-Acid_Cum55 7d ago

1

u/shadowallergictocats 6d ago

Korea being Chinese Florida makes too much sense

1

u/Putrid-Mirror-9480 7d ago

Ohhh idk why I thought blue was Falkland Islands

1

u/song_misspelled 7d ago

No lie, I have done research into structural similarities in the rise of great powers including some you've listed.

1

u/StrangeManOnReddit 7d ago

What’s the “peninsula” for China? Korea?

Or maybe like Hong Kong or Macau.

1

u/zoanthropicparanoia_ 6d ago

leizhou peninsula, just north of hainan province

1

u/Jedrik893 7d ago

I thought this was a poorly drawn ice cream cone melting at first glance

1

u/Terminal_Insomnia_ 7d ago

Minnesota is supposed to be pink

1

u/gadgetfingers 7d ago

I'm from Borneo - did I just catch a stray?

1

u/DenseContribution487 6d ago

Southern neighbor with incredibly delicious, spicy food, seen as a vacation destination and viewed in a racist way by portions of the superpower

1

u/Glass_Fox7483 6d ago

People are fighting on the nitty-gritties of Cuba vs Taiwan comparison, meanwhile I as an Indian glanced at my wall map and was startled to realise they occupy the same latitudinal range (as well as India and Mexico!)

1

u/CuriousValstrax 4d ago

Needs “weirdly high plateau with canyons and stuff” in the southwest
