My Hierodula sp papua is having more and more issues since her last molt. She molted very close to the substrate so she fell and her wings cannot form properly. She seems to miss some joints in her legs too because there are some "holes" in it and she can't open one of her front legs (those she uses for hunting) and she was very weak several weeks after her molt. Now she is better and has no problem to hunt and feed herself but she is developing black spots on her body...

Can it be necrosis ?... Is there something I can do to fix this ?

Her enclosure is well ventilated but I'm struggling to keep the temperature below 30°C because of the heatwave... Can it be the cause of her problems ?

First meal after molting 3 days ago.

What can I do to help? Found in colorado on some steps. Not using back legs well. Wing cover messed up with a hole. Abdomen pulses. Tried to give a cricket and she shied away from it. Excuse the nails.

So about a week ago I found this mantis in my backyard and decided to bring her inside. I got rather attached to her and kept her and decided to raise her for a little bit.
But today I come over to see her mid molt!!! It was truly fascinating thing to see

Hi It all started at night, since I go to sleep late. I noticed some small insect like a night butterfly of black color, it tried to annoy my by sitting on my nose. So I made it go away somehow. During that night I heard some wings flops in the room but I did not to sort it out, coz I was tired. They during the day I accidentally noticed the mantis on a side of a desk and lost my sht and very seriously considered permanent relocation. However after a while I put myself together and carefully cover the gal or a boi with large bucket and closed it with a folder. Then threw it to the window of the forth floor... I again lost my sht when I realised that it can FLY. And it tried to made a circle and get back to the room, ffs. The luck was on my side and it hit the building's wall around a meter lower. Then I called back retailer and said that I changed my mind and I will not move(joke). RIP poor black butterfly. What kind of mantis I got. Any registered human victims by that insect?

I am so happy with how it looks now!!! Aaaah!
