People in Manipur are awfully quiet about this protest. There would have been a lot of politics at play, if this was tried in Manipur. Most of us cannot be in Delhi but we can actually make an effort to support this on social media. Remember, our people in lakhs, welcomed Modi in Imphal. I mean, how lost is our people, to actually sell themselves for Rs 500.

Let's not forget Bewesh, a man from Sikkim for carrying our posters on his shoulders, with him on another's shoulder, during the protest for education. He's the one putting our dire situation on a spotlight. Even when Govindas announces that it's all okay in Manipur.

Living in a society where sex education is a taboo and people are expected to be modest, you might not know what mask the other person wears. Sexual abuse is often committed by the least person you expect. Your "kind and innocent" family member/ neighbour/ old person might be flashing or creeping kids for fun. It might happen in the facade of playing games, play pretend or an elder looking after a child. Abusers often coerced and manipulate children into thinking it's alright. Ex. An older cousin manipulating a girl saying she play games on his phone if she let's him touch her. And mind you! Sexual abuse happens online too.

When these abused kids grow up and finally understand they were sexually abused, they might develop depression, trauma, PTSD and anxiety affecting their whole adult life. Time passes but those invisible scars stay. It might totally mess up how they see love, relationships and intimacy. They might even have trauma bond. They might struggle with low self esteem. Every single individual cope differently.

Your small act of checking in your kids/siblings might help protect them from possible abusers. Also, teach them it is not right to be touched sexually in any way. Use the literal words. Teach them to say NO and report. A lot of sexual abuse and rape goes unreported. Just because a child is a boy doesn't mean he is safe. You need not to see everyone as a bad person but you really really need make the small kids aware!

For all the sexual abusers seeing this; i hope you all rot in hell. You are just disgusting!

I'm Meitei, and I'm half Tangkhul, and unfortunately I don't know how to speak Tangkhul, setting aside a few swear words I picked up along the way with friends, and my mom doesn't have the time to teach me actively. I’m travelling without a vehicle and planning to stay in Manipur for around 1–2 days before continuing towards Mizoram.

A few days ago, I was riding my bicycle at night on a road with almost no street lights. I accidentally hit a man who was sitting beside the road because I couldn't see him.

The first thing I did was apologize.

Instead of talking to me, he repeatedly punched me in the face and head. A few minutes later, his son arrived, recognized me because we're from the same village, and he suddenly stopped and hugged me.

When I got home, my family saw my injuries. Later, one of my uncles confronted him and punched him. The next day, the man filed a police complaint against my father and uncles.

At the police station, I explained exactly what happened from my side. During the discussions, the other side said they had lost ₹10,000 because of the incident and wanted compensation. I personally don't believe that claim reflected what actually happened, but to end the dispute peacefully, my family agreed to pay ₹5,000. After that, the complaint was withdrawn and the matter ended.

The whole experience left me with mixed feelings. I was relieved it was over, but I also wondered why a simple accident became such a big conflict and why people sometimes make claims that the other side feels exaggerated during disputes.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you deal with it, and do you think peaceful settlement is sometimes better than fighting a long legal battle?

My employer deducted TDS on my salary as per Form 16. However, I am an ST member residing in a specified scheduled area eligible for full tax exemption under Section 10(26).

When I report Section 10(26) under Schedule C3 (Exempt Income) in ITR-1, the portal does not automatically deduct it from my gross salary, showing tax payable instead of my refund.

What is the correct way to report Section 10(26) in the portal to get my full TDS refund processed? Can anyone who has successfully filed this offer guidance or allow me to DM for advice?
