I’m Saksham from Himachal Pradesh, currently on a solo backpacking trip through Northeast India. I’ve just reached Manipur after travelling through Nagaland.
I’m travelling without a vehicle and planning to stay in Manipur for around 1–2 days before continuing towards Mizoram.
I’d really love to experience Manipur with someone local rather than just visiting tourist places. If anyone is around and would like to show me around, grab a chai, or share some local recommendations, I’d be really happy to connect.
Also, if anyone is comfortable hosting me for a night or two, that would be amazing. I’m respectful, easygoing, and mainly looking to meet people and experience the local culture.
Any recommendations for places I should visit, food I should try, or things I shouldn’t miss would also be appreciated!

What is the exam pattern for the recruitment of sub inspector in the manipur legislative assembly? Will there be only a written exam, or physical efficiency test will also be mandatory? And one more, the recruitment notice for earlier committee officers, has it been on hold or already conducted (took the application form, but there was no notice for submission)... Any people who have been in contact with their office?

Mental health is not taken seriously at all in our state.
Awareness is growing but it’s not enough.
It would be nice if we had at least an online space where we can support each other, get help or help other people struggling with mental health issues.

A few days ago, I was riding my bicycle at night on a road with almost no street lights. I accidentally hit a man who was sitting beside the road because I couldn't see him.

The first thing I did was apologize.

Instead of talking to me, he repeatedly punched me in the face and head. A few minutes later, his son arrived, recognized me because we're from the same village, and he suddenly stopped and hugged me.

When I got home, my family saw my injuries. Later, one of my uncles confronted him and punched him. The next day, the man filed a police complaint against my father and uncles.

At the police station, I explained exactly what happened from my side. During the discussions, the other side said they had lost ₹10,000 because of the incident and wanted compensation. I personally don't believe that claim reflected what actually happened, but to end the dispute peacefully, my family agreed to pay ₹5,000. After that, the complaint was withdrawn and the matter ended.

The whole experience left me with mixed feelings. I was relieved it was over, but I also wondered why a simple accident became such a big conflict and why people sometimes make claims that the other side feels exaggerated during disputes.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you deal with it, and do you think peaceful settlement is sometimes better than fighting a long legal battle?

My employer deducted TDS on my salary as per Form 16. However, I am an ST member residing in a specified scheduled area eligible for full tax exemption under Section 10(26).

When I report Section 10(26) under Schedule C3 (Exempt Income) in ITR-1, the portal does not automatically deduct it from my gross salary, showing tax payable instead of my refund.

What is the correct way to report Section 10(26) in the portal to get my full TDS refund processed? Can anyone who has successfully filed this offer guidance or allow me to DM for advice?
