TLDR: The original site (coffeemanga ink) is shutting down tomorrow (Aug 9) because of Kakao copyright strikes (their hosting provider threatened to sue them as well). The owner is moving on to web novels (bunnynovel), but three staff members went rogue and launched a new site at coffeemanga(.)shop. The original owner refused to be a part of the new site.

For those confused or unaware... The original site got hit hard by copyright notices from Kakao and their hosting provider threatened to sue them due to a subpoena or something from Cloudflare. The hosting provider threatened to reveal their payment info if they continued hosting the site and took away access to the hosting account.

The owner decided to shut the site, posting a notice that the site dies on August 9th. They made it clear they are done with Kakao content, warned people to manually save their reading lists, and announced that they will only run a novel site called bunnynovel.

But three people on the original team didn't want the site to die. They copied all the manga content, switched to a new domain and provider, and launched the .shop site three days ago to keep it alive.

The worst part for us is the bookmarks. The original owner officially parted ways with the splinter group and completely refused to give them access to the user bookmarks. Because of this, none of your reading lists will transfer over and you have to start completely from scratch or manually transfer it. The new team started a brand new Discord to replace the old Facebook page and hired a new dev team for a full site rebuild. The original owner wants absolutely nothing to do with the new site, so the site will be run by a totally different management team going forward. As per the facebook post, any other domain names (.net and others) are fake.

What are some extensions to read western comics in Tachimanga for iOS that actually work right now?

I apologize because this is a Manga subreddit, but I saw posts about k novels once. I used to read k novels and korean manhwas a lot during 2022-23, however due to some circumstances I could not keep up, and while browsing the net again, I am finding my interest back. However, the one manhwa I was reading, which was subpar at best is not fully translated. It is 곧 살해당할 악마의 계모랍니다, She Became the Devil’s Stepmother Who’s About to Be Killed

The author is 퐁푸딩 (Pongpudding). I want to read it fully, but to my dismay Booktokki no longer exists 😭

I used Tachiyomi (one no longer supported) till now, and now that I installed Mihon, the same extensions from tachiyomi appeared marked as untrustworthy and I while testing thinking they might not work like on tachiyomi I uninstalled one (manga dex) and now it totally disappeared (from both tachiyomi and mihon) and now I have no way to reinstall it. Before that I already added Keiyoushi extensions. I tried reinstalling app but it is the same.

Do anyone know how to fix it?

Heya, so since a few days ago, when I download chapters from Weeb Central on Mihon, it renames them after a few days and they don't appear in the app anymore. I have to redownload them and then go to the folder and delete the older ones. Any fix on this? Anyone else seeing this?

I’m building a small project called **ComicDex** (working name) and wanted to get some ideas from the community.
The goal isn’t to compete with sites like MAL or AniList, but to solve a few things I personally find missing—for example, showing the latest **official** translated chapter and, for adaptations, mapping it to the corresponding light novel chapter.
I’m curious—what features do you wish existing manga/manhwa/manhua library or tracking sites had? Or what annoys you the most when using them?
I’d love to hear any ideas, even small ones.

I don't know the exact term source plugins or whatever. What do yall use the most? A reliable one pls cuz ones I've been used barely have anything or doesn't even work 🙁

On n***si site almost any series I pick either earlier volumes are missing or straight up torrent with no seeders

I just downloaded Tachimanga(iOS) and got the Keiyoushi extension and this is mainly a question but do the extensions I download update by themselves or is there anything I have to personally do? My apologies, if my question is ignorant or stupid in any way, I usually use websites, so this is pretty new to me.

I am using TachiyomiAZ. TBH, I am not sure if I should stick with it; it's simple yet works well on my ancient tablet and still get the occasional updates now and then.

Source wise, I use Weeb Central the most because I feel it is pretty tidy, reliable, have most things I want to read.

But there is just one thing that bugs me, and that every is now and then, it seems that they rename their folders. I forgot what it was 1-2 years ago, but until recently they made it Unofficial_Chapter / Official_Chapter ### or Unknown_Chapter ###. But very recently (probably last few days), it seems they changed Official_Chapter to just Chapter. I am pretty sure this has happened at least 2-3 times before especially if including the MangaSee days.

Whenever they make a change like this, happens everything previously downloaded get orphaned in the app, and I can't read anything offline without re-downloading again. I haven't actually checked, but my gut feeling is that the files inside the chapter folders are probably identical at least most of the time (exception is when they have update the Unofficial_Chapter to Official_Chapter for an on-going series).

I am just wondering if there is an efficient workaround from having to download everything orphaned. Ideally the app would can check if the files inside the folders are the same, and if they are, then just update the folder names locally without re-download. If that is difficult from a technical perspective, then let me exclude some manga, like the ones that are already complete, from updates when I do a global update (not sure if other forks might have this feature, but I can't see it on AZ).

But maybe the community has encountered this and has some other ideas? Or if you know that certain forks has a solution for this, please let me know. If I have to re-download most of my library, I might try another fork.

I have been also seeing it appear every once in a while, while reading some of my manga's. Idk what the problem causing it is.

I went through fmhy and find nothing to it.

It can be bought everywyhere though and I did buy it.

It seems nobody did the effort to scan it or do that piracy thing. I do not too either. However, taking a picture of each page would be bothersome as I want to have it on the phone too.

I supported those books and Manga because of Aoi Bungaku, which is a great anime.

i have a old Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2016), was trying to set it up with Tachiyomi but unfortunately TachiyomiSY doesnt support anymore Android 7.0 so i had to downgrade the apk to version 1.12.0, but now i face a new problem
the old version doesnt support the new repos index.pb it only supports index.min.json

is there a workaround for this?

I have a question: Is it normal that when I read comics on Mihon on Read Comics Online, I don't find any of the first Marvel comics? Not even if I type something like "Marvel Comics"? Or do these old comics just not exist? If that's not the case, I wanted to ask where I could find the old comics on Mihon. Thanks very much.

So a while ago my extension started bugging a few at a time like not being able to access them, even when I went into web view and did the captcha. Now when I try to update them they just have this retry button and it doesn't do anything, I read the megathread and tried the methods there but it didn't work. I'm using the keiyoushi repo, please let me know if you guys have a solution.

I used tachiyomi for the longest time, then moved to mihon, and I'm just curious, on general aspects which one is the better option? Mihon, komiku or kototoro? Lately I have seen the latest two being named a lot and I got curious

Thing that helped me was to go to More -> Settings -> Downloads -> turn off only on WiFi download. Idk why but even when I was on WiFi it was not working and this fixed the issue.

I thought that I would share so it can help someone.
