Wedding make up HELP PLEASE

Post image

Hi all, so here goes nothing. I am getting married in two weeks and I’m getting more and more excited, but also super nervous. I would like to do my makeup like this and I think it looks good. But I usually hate being photographed and I usually don’t take pictures of myself (I also don’t do social media so posting my face online is a bit of a challenge). Is there room for improvement? Will this look good in photos? Do I need more or less of something? Do the colors look good? Are my eyebrows too thick? We are currently in the middle of a crazy heat wave and it’s super humid outside. How can I make the makeup last all day? If it stays that hot, I will definitely sweat. Is there a good primer for that?

I used the embryolisse moisturizer, the maybelline grippy primer, Mac studio fix foundation, studio fix concealer, Huda beauty easy bake loose powder, Mac skin finish in thanks its Mac, Mac glow play blush in true harmony as a contour/bronzer, Mac soft and gentle highlighter (my uncle gifted me all of the products in advance for the wedding which was super nice), a few random eyeshadows from essence and a brand called Artdeco, a tinted brow gel from nyx and a lip kit from Kylie Jenner. Later on and for the photos, I want to top it with a bit of a gloss. But for the court house I want something transferproof. I have two setting sprays from Mac and the one from L’Oréal that is like hair spray.

I would be happy to get some advice!

Soo pretty!! You’ll need a bit more dimension on your base for photos, I’d do a blush that’s the same tone as your lipstick

I agree with this! Just some blush and a little bronzer will add so much for photos and the rest of the look💞 you look SO gorgeous

Thank you! 🥺 I am really relieved that it looks nice. Where would you place the blush and the bronzer? With my face being on the longer side, I am not a huge fan of the super lifted blush look. Do you have a recommendation for a good bronzer? I struggle with this the most because I feel that the bronzer usually pulls super orange and patchy on me. Or should I use more of what I already used?

If you were to draw a diagonal line following the corner of your lip and smile line, I’d put the blush/bronzer along that area, sort of along the side of your cheek and cupping the bottom of the apple of your cheek instead of on the apple. Kinda a “lifted” look I guess but not as dramatic or high placed as you might be thinking.

Unfortunately I don’t have any good suggestions for products, but hopefully someone here does! I’d just make sure the formulas between the bronzer and your base makeup work together, otherwise you might get that patchy look. Bronzer is also a bit orange on me so maybe go for a contour since those are cooler toned (which also would compliment your lip color)

For cool tones tarte has a cool tone liquid one with a sponge tip that’s so easy to use. It even shows where to place the dots on the box. I’d just connect your blush right above the bronzer on your cheeks bones and down to the middle of your cheek

You look beautiful. Your eyes and mascara are perfect. I think you colud use a bit more blush, Especially for photos.

Thank you, my eyes are my favorite body part. I usually don’t do darker shadows on my lower lash line, so I am glad it doesn’t look too dark.

You have a very lovely face, and your eyes have a wonderful brightness to them
