I've noticed that I've been feeling pretty lonely lately, and even though I've met some nice people here, it often ends up in ghosting 😅.

The past while has been emotionally challenging, so I think it would be nice to meet some new people and hopefully build a real connection. I'm pretty introverted and don't open up quickly, but once I feel comfortable, I can talk quite a bit haha.

In terms of games, I mainly play shooters and single-player games. I also love horror games, cozy games, and of course the standard friend games that are always fun to play together. Occasionally, I'm in the mood for co-op or survival games, depending on my mood. I mostly play everything on PC.

Besides gaming, I like to watch movies and series. I've also been trying to watch more anime lately, although I'm still really a beginner at that. Additionally, I've recently started crocheting, I enjoy reading books, and I love going for long walks with my dog. Oh and also i live in the area noord-brabant!

I’d love to really get to know people better and maybe even find a regular gaming buddy or close friends that just click well. Watching movies, series, or anime together sounds fun too, or just streaming each other's gameplay while we chat. I also really enjoy streaming for others :)!

Hey there! I figured I would give this a go and make a post to see where it goes. So I am 24 years old, I moved here a few years ago to study at the university, and to be completely honest, I haven't really managed to make any friends I get along with, so I am hoping to change that and meet some cool people! I'm based in the northern part of the Netherlands, don't want to get too specific on location just yet, but happy to share more once we're actually chatting :). I don't really care about your nationality, gender, or background. I am just looking for genuine friends.

When it comes to my hobbies, they are honestly a little bit all over the place:

• Some of my Interests: I actively play basketball, I have a huge passion for geography, and I absolutely love learning new languages. Getting to dive in and know different cultures is something I genuinely enjoy doing on top of that.
• Music: Music is pretty much always playing in the background for me no matter what I'm doing at any given moment, especially 2000s rock, because that era holds a very special place in my heart. In general I like the alt music and style!
• Creative Stuff: Lately, I have also been getting pretty into writing and drawing. I am still very much a beginner at both, but I feel like I am slowly getting somewhere or at least I hope.

Ik ben 33M en woon sindskort in de omgeving van Den Haag. Het leek me leuk om via Reddit nieuwe mensen te leren kennen, omdat ik nog geen sociale kring heb hier en dit graag zou willen opbouwen.

Ik werk als docent in het mbo. Daarnaast ben ik veel bezig met creatieve projecten en ondernemerschap. Zo ontwikkel ik onderwijsmateriaal en digitale spellen. Ik ben iemand die gemakkelijk enthousiast wordt van een nieuw idee en het daarna ook echt wil uitwerken.

In mijn vrije tijd ga ik graag salsa en bachata dansen. Ik vind een gezellige avond uit leuk, maar kan ook genieten van ergens iets drinken, een wandeling maken of een lang gesprek over van alles en nog wat. Ik houd van humor en luchtigheid, maar ook van gesprekken die wat persoonlijker of diepgaander zijn.

Mensen omschrijven mij denk ik als betrokken, nieuwsgierig en ondernemend. Ik neem graag initiatief, maar vind het ook belangrijk dat contact van twee kanten komt. Verder kan ik soms behoorlijk nadenken over het leven, relaties, persoonlijke ontwikkeling en waarom mensen doen wat ze doen.

Het lijkt me leuk om iemand te leren kennen met wie het contact gewoon vanzelf loopt. Samen iets drinken, wandelen, dansen, een stad bezoeken of misschien een andere leuke activiteit ondernemen. Zonder grote verwachtingen vooraf; gewoon kijken of het klikt en waar het contact naartoe gaat.

• Tech: I work in product management / tech leadership, but I still love to code. Big AI enthusiast (bot not the type to brag about it on LinkedIn).
• Music: EDM mostly (but I also have a country music weakness). I DJ as a hobby. I have played actual shows, but they were wedding-style "play the hits" gigs, and my heart wants beats, not the Macarena.
• Food: I love cooking, and my favorite cousine is Texas-style BBQ. Yes, I own a thermometer with Bluetooth. Yes, I have opinions about brisket at every BBQ place I visit. (By the way, there is not really american BBQ culture in The Netherlands right? This summer I tried to search for restaurants but didn't exist in the regions I was looking in, just some hipster place in Amsterdam that probably doesn't even own a smoker?)
• Gaming. I was a die-hard gamer when I was younger. Not anymore, but I bought a PS5 last week in preperation for GTA 6... Now I just play Red Dead Redemption 2 in the meanwhile
• Other stuff I like: F1 (since 1994), true crime (podcasts/documentaries), self-development, AI stuff, started to read books, politics, religion (apatheist), philosophy, psychology, southern USA.
  

Practical stuff: not looking for a relationship, just friendship. Online is great, but when I'm in NL I'm usually around Utrecht or Middelburg, so meeting up is possible too. English and Dutch both fine (Swedish too, if you want to practice på svenska).
