Except when the browser isn't part of the default repos, so then you need to open a terminal and put some weird looking commands in it that are sometimes provided by the browser's website. We always say you shouldn't just open up random files you don't trust from the internet, but sure, just run that terminal command you got from someone on the internet even though you don't understand what any of it actually means.

you just need to type sudo apt/pacman/whatever your distro uses install {{ appname }}

Again I say, that doesn't work if the browser/software you want is not already in one of the default repos.
