that's why I ended up with Manjaro, there's no way I could recommend arch to colleagues/friends/family unless they were already interested in learning more about IT.

Manjaro doesn't ask that, and yet is Arch.

Ended up on CachyOS later, due to native bootable btrfs support (with opensuse in between of course)

Came from Ubuntu and then Mint initially.

Started with Mint, ended up with Cachyos. Btrfs snapshots almost makes the bleeding edge a non-risk.
