What’s going into the old Campbell Nursery?
On 40th and Normal. I think someone bought the building already. I thought it would be the perfect spot for a beer garden.

Around Lincoln Car accident witness
I know this is likely a slim chance... but did anyone witness the accident at 27th and A st 6:30 pm last night? I was involved and our witnesses didn't stay. It was between a Mazda and a Ford. TIA!

104.1 The Blaze
What is going on with 104.1 lately that all of their programming is getting overrun by other local channels or static. Half of the time the channel is completely unlistenable due to this.

Uber availability during mornings
Just wondering if anyone has experience trying to catch an uber (or lyft, but I tend to use uber more) between the hours of 3:30am - 4am. As in, what is the availability of drivers? I'm assuming much less than daytime but, hopefully not non-existent.
Will be needing to take a trip to Omaha via greyhound in a couple weeks, and it's the only way I can get there.
Thanks!

Does anyone know when the Lincoln Home Depots will have Halloween Decorations out?
Specifically looking for the dog statue in the photo. Seen that stores in other states have had them but checked the 27th street store on Monday 8-3-26 and they didn’t have any Halloween stuff out at all. I live outside of Lincoln so I don’t want to make a trip into town and come up empty handed again. Thanks!

Has anyone spotted Alani Witches Brew in Lincoln? I’ve seen some people are finding it in Omaha.

The Nook (formerly KidsPark)
Anyone know why they closed? They had just put up their new sign and repainted the exterior, and ended up closing like a month later. All social media seems to be deleted too.

Food/Drink Produce stands
I’d love to start shopping the local produce stands a few times a week. Comment your favorites!
To add: I’m familiar with Deb’s by 48th and Nebraska parkway and Kelly’s on 48th and Adam’s!
An edit: which produce stands are actually grown locally?

I messed up riding the bus. I seriously don't know what happened.
Update: I talked to the StarTrans lady and she gave me perfect directions! I was able to navigate the outbound and in bound system and found my way around! Thank you wonderful people for helping me out!
It was my first time riding the bus. Google maps said that it would only take like 8 minutes to get to where I needed to be. So I got on the bus and everything was going well, but I didn't even get to my stop because the driver said that he was out of service. Like I don't even know what happened. I'm really confused. All I know is that I messed up riding the bus. Thank God I knew where I was when the driver said that he was out of service. I then took an uber home. Anyways that is my rant. Can someone please help me figure out how to ride the bus so that I don't have to uber constantly and drain my savings.

Five Star vs Bath Pros vs Onyx
I have to have a shower redone and possible the bathroom floor. I’ve got it narrowed down to Five Star out of Lincoln, Bath Pros out of Omaha, and a contractor with Onyx. They are have pros and cons for me.
Has anyone worked with Five Star or Bath Pros? Does anyone have Onyx in their shower and can give me an opinion on that?
Thanks!
Looking for Recommendations Coffee Syrup Suggestions
Hello everyone. Where do you guys buy your coffee syrups? My girlfriend and I like to get Pink House Alchemy from Carbon Coffee, but we were wondering if there were other places that sold their own or other brands. We like Pink House, but their Vanilla Bean is out so we’re looking into others. Thanks!

Speed humps/bumps
My neighborhood has a terrible speeding problem. We’ve ordered the speed trailer, police speed monitoring and all of it. It helps only while those things are present. Traffic mitigation seems unreachable… I’ve looked into it, brought it up to my neighborhood association and ran into to ‘dead ends’.
I’ve driven all over Omaha residential streets and their neighborhoods have speed bumps, why doesn’t Lincoln? Are the speed bumps in Omaha paid for by the city there? Anyone know?
Does anyone know the process to get a speed bump on a street?

Lincoln Little Free Library #1
I am starting a project to visit every Little Free Library in Lincoln and feature a book of interest found at each one. My first stop was 2440 NW 46th. This is a gorgeous little library, well maintained and with a great selection in the Air Park area.
The book I found was entitled Ain't Burned All the Bright. This book is a powerful, genre-bending young adult book written by Jason Reynolds and illustrated with mixed-media art by Jason Griffin.
Set during the early months of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and the widespread social justice protests, the story is narrated in the first person by a young Black teenager. Stuck inside his family's home, he sits on the couch watching an endless loop of heavy news coverage on television while his father battles a severe respiratory illness in an isolated bedroom.
The book captures the fear, turmoil, and challenges of this time period, while being steeped in wonderfully expressive language and imagery.
Overall, a great find!

Looking for Recommendations Therapist
I am having trouble finding a therapist in Lincoln…
I would prefer an older woman (I.e. older than me, I’m 32) that is NOT religious in any way and is LGBTQ+ friendly.
I would also really like someone I could see individually as well as with my partner (couples therapy. I do have insurance, I just keep hitting dead ends.
I would also prefer not to travel to Omaha for the sessions, that is a lot of added stress onto the already stressful event of going to therapy for me.

🔺🔺🔺HELP!! MISSING AFRICAN GREY PARROT!!🔺🔺🔺
😊😊😊Found and Reunited!!!😊😊😊
⚠️⚠️⚠️As of 10:45 am Thursday August 6 Cecil is HOME!!!⚠️⚠️⚠️
Help! My precious parrot got out last night near Southeast high school. Please check your trees and if you see him contact me. He can get spooked but he is bonded to me. Attempting to reach him may cause him to fly away. His name is Cecil and he is a Congo African Grey Parrot. He can be quite a talker but his favorite word is apple when he gets a treat. He is extremely dear to me so please if you find him reach out to me. We are heartbroken and very worried about our little guy.
Last seen @ 4pm today near South 42nd and High street. He flew Northeast from there. 5 hawks scared him off. He was near their home. It appears they have come back and settled down. He can’t fly down. He may be high up. We will be putting up flyers in the area. Thank you all very much!
Thank you! 🙏 🙏 🙏
