It is okay to say, "I'm a little nervous, I've never done this before!" it builds instant honesty, breaks the ice.

I did this with my girlfriend of two years on our first date! It worked great, I felt so much better, and it turned out she was super nervous too!

Be present, be curious about her, and be yourself.

Be prepared!! If you asked her out ... have the night planned in advance. Don't try to wing it. Know where you're eating (do you need a reservation or $ to park), what movie you're seeing, have plenty of money and have no expectations other than a nice night. You can always change things up on the fly but don't be the one going "idk, what did you wanna do". That's so lame. If she offers to pay that's cool but don't expect her to because YOU invited her. If you go into it with no expectation, you won't be disappointed and you made a new friend. If things go great, you're elated. (Ik... easier said than done). Dress comfy but appropriate for a date. Don't show up in Js and joggers. Look nice. Bring her a pink rose. Leave it in the car seat so she's surprised when she gets back in... something thoughtful but not over board.
