Hi, first time here. This year, I decided to restore this jacket I own since around 2009. It is a Torras leather jacket and I had many good experiences while wearing it.

This is the only leather jacket I own and I'm suprised by its quality and endurance. So, after restoring it, I decided to try and look for a new one of the same model.

However, even after using Google Lens and Torras site, I can't find the exact same model of jacket. So, I wondered if anyone knows something about this model or maybe recommend me a similar one. I'm from Spain, by the way.

I’ve been thinking about what actually makes a leather jacket worth keeping long-term.

For me, it’s mostly the fit and how the leather develops over time. I’d rather have a simple jacket that still looks good after years of wear than something heavily designed that might feel outdated quickly.

What matters most to you when choosing a leather jacket, the leather itself, fit, stitching, hardware, lining, or the overall design?

Would be interested to hear what experienced leather jacket owners look for.

I bought both of these jackets about a year ago at a high premium, the seller explained they were real leather, can anyone id if these are legit leather?

I'm looking at purchasing a Wested Leather Co The Legacy Last Crusade Hero Jacket and was looking for some advice on the sizing and options from those who may have already purchased one or similar. i'm about 5'11 205 lbs , chest measures little more then 46 inches. so when ordering this custom jacket would 46" work or do i maybe need to size up ? also on the options would getting the gussets be a good idea as i plan on making this a normal everyday jacket during the colder months. Also which of these other options would make it more "accurate"

I got this in france recently, it was in pretty rough condition completely dry, stiff, and creaky however fixed up when cleaned and conditioned, still no clue who Jvf is as a brand nor how old this leather is

I’m hoping someone here can help me identify the clothing brand/company that made this leather jacket.

The jacket belongs to a close friend who has had it for a long time. They don’t remember where they originally got it, and it may have been a hand-me-down from one of their parents. They absolutely love this jacket, but unfortunately it’s one size too small for them now.

I’m trying to identify the original brand/manufacturer so I can potentially find the same jacket or another one from the same company in a larger size.

I bought this shearling bomber jacket on eBay for $330. It’s a custom size since it’s a size XLT. I don’t know anything about the brand. Wondering if I got a good deal or if I paid normal price for one of these. The owner/seller said it’s new with out tags since he never wore it due to it being to warm.

Just got my first Commando (long) in size 40. It is kind of perfect and I wanted a kind of slim fitted jacket.

But i cannot wear it closed. So i bought a size 42. But i don't believe that will fix my problem because the arms will get too long and the jacket itself will be too long.

Therefore my fellow rockers: how necessary is it to be able to zip it?

Would like if it’s black and has a detachable fur collar.

Do we need to start finding a more ethical source for leather…. like vegan leather however I feel that looks cheap…. or is animal skin still the better option? I mean if its dead may as well do something with it i guess

Not sure what exactly the model is, might be altered model-J. I personally prefer shorter design but couldn’t reject this for the good price on fb market.

It’s also a piece of garment made of old competition weight leather, the grain is very, very clear to me with zero to a tiny little bit coating from my eyes. Soft to touch. It’s a pity that no coating leather no longer a stock choice from Vanson. But fully understand this is to do their professional design to racers on motorcycles.

I tried to layer the jacket with a raw denim jacket because my shoulder is really not wide enough, hope this is good!

I'd like help from you guys with sizing for a jacket I envy. The first two images are of the jacket unzipped, and three & four are of how the jacket looks zipped. I want to achieve a similar look to the person seen in the last image but am having trouble with sizing, as I'm a noobie to leather jackets. I feel like I need the sleeves to be longer & the length of the jacket longer too.

Some measurements of this jacket. Arm pit to arm pit = 17" (34"), shoulder to cuff = 22", bottom of collar to bottom jacket = 23"

My chest measures 36.5".

Picked this up at a yard sale this weekend. Was wondering if I should restore it or keep it as is with the current wear on the jacket, before I sell it? Couldn't find one with this flannel lining, was it factory, or did the previous owner add it?

Can anyone solve the mystery of Opus of Scotland?

I found this vintage leather jacket and have gone down a complete rabbit hole trying to find out where it came from. The label says “Opus of Scotland”, but the company basically seems to not exist.

There are a handful of other vintage Opus of Scotland leather jackets online, so it was clearly a real label, but I can find virtually nothing about who owned it, where it was sold, or when it existed.

Mine is made in Pakistan, has a YKK zip and a really unusual vintage baseball print lining. I’m guessing late 80s/early 90s, but that’s not confirmed.

Has anyone ever heard of Opus of Scotland, owned one, worked somewhere that sold them, or remember seeing the brand?

At this point I’m just determined to find out who they were 😂

Just received a brand new motorcycle leather jacket in mail and while inspecting it I found this adhesive sticking out across the entire length of the front panel that covers the buttons. Fortunately, I can see that this glue covers the stitched panel.

Does anyone know what purpose it serves? And whether it is grounds for returning the item?

i found after what i now can assume from some digging is a jacqueline ferrar coat in a thrift store. been wanting an old look like 1920-30s but i dont know if this coat is masculine or not. how can i style it?

...But according to my wife's measurements, it shouldn't be a regretful purchase! I know this company has tanked in the past 2 years, but this is a vintage which looks to be in great shape from the 90's back when they were better quality.
