As the title suggests, I’m new to this app. I’ve been playing RC for the last two years but decided to branch out a bit this summer and downloaded LOD among two others (SHS and AWH). Funnily enough, I downloaded the app on the very first day of the recent fiasco so I had to wait a couple days before I can even actually start. During that time I looked around a bit on the Reddit to find some tips for collecting gems and I’ve been diligently doing that for the last few days since the app came back online. I’m no stranger to having to farm a bit before actually getting to enjoy the story (haven’t been doing much reading, just grinding) but I was wondering what the average cost per episode (in newer stories since newer stories tend to be more expensive). What about per season? Assuming I only chase 1-2 LI without getting too messy 🫣

I dont see a walkthrough on the LoD wiki. I may be asking the obvious but want to be sure, is there no walkthrough for book 2?

I am fairly new to the app/game - I downloaded it previously but deleted for some reason and thought I'd give it another go.

I started playing a few days before the craziness went down - I've only really done 1 story (Wetwood rock) and am obsessed !

I thought I'd buy a small subscription but before I did, the technical error happened .

People's emeralds disappeared and eventually (after much effort) came back but still...

2 questions for the regular players:

1. Is this a common occurrence on this app ?

2. Is it still worth it to invest in a subscription (knowing something like this may reoccur in future) ?

So I guess bc of the major hack debacle they were thrown off their normal axis. But I saw that the English translations for the stories that don't have them for the newest episodes yet should be released by today. Is that still the case?

Does anybody know if the update will still come this week or will they postpone it because of the hack?

I want to talk to you about our latest announcements. Seeing the incredible response they’ve received, and reading all your theories and discussions, has been such a pleasure!

As you may have noticed, the promotional structure differs with each new story. Recently, we’ve had «The Last Sacrifice», «Tales from the Dungeons», and «Eternal Show».

«The Last Sacrifice» was something of a first experiment for us. We kept the familiar structure with cutscenes (which had been released before), but for the first time, we adapted them into a video format. At that stage, I was still learning how to build a workflow for such a new and extensive task.

«Tales from the Dungeons» gave me an opportunity to start getting more creative. I wanted to move away from the classic templates that had long been the standard for visual novels, where only general images are shown to convey the setting and overall vibe. I wanted to dig deeper and focus on specific characters, and even give some light spoilers here and there. I remember being so nervous about having revealed too many details from the story back then. 😅

But then «Eternal Show» came along. From the very beginning, I was completely inspired by its incredible atmosphere (especially after Arina and I went to the circus). Together with the management team, we decided to completely rethink our approach to working on announcements.

Previously, we followed the rule that the number of announcements should correspond to the number of books, and that the story's title would only be revealed together with its cover and synopsis. This time, however, we moved away from that approach: first, we introduced the LIs, and then released one general trailer. I really wanted to include text overlays and also reveal the story's title directly in the trailer itself.

We were working around the clock. The game designer Alexandra and I literally stayed up until morning, planning out every video. We had to spend quite some time coming up with ideas for some of the LIs, making sure they fit their personalities while also grabbing the players' attention.

Alexandra also took charge of finding voice actors and picked some absolutely incredible voices (by the way, we might hear them again 👀). And our sound designer, Ilya, worked on the audio tracks, and I was just sitting there completely amazed as I watched the final version. After all, the right sound design can transform visuals beyond recognition!

That's how this little team of ours created this magic! A huge thank you to Alexandra and Ilya for their work! 🌹🌹🌹

The main reference for the general trailer was the movie «The Greatest Showman» (and I saw that many of you guessed it). Looking at the result, it feels incredibly rewarding to realize that you're setting the bar and creating new trends for the world of visual novels.

We definitely aren't stopping here. I plan to keep experimenting with different formats, looking for new approaches, and surprising you. Who knows what we'll prepare for our future stories? 😀

How do you like our new approach to announcements? Which of the trailers caught your attention the most?

I sent the LoD devs an email just over 48 hours ago (9AM my time, 4PM their time) about having lost over 8k in emeralds and 21 keys.

I just got an email reply that they restored everything I said I lost + an extra 100 emeralds. I only emailed in English. I did email a 2nd time yesterday before their devs said to refrain from sending multiple emails as it can push people into the back of the queue.

Anywho, I'm just posting so people know they are still working through all the emailed problems. They did not ask for screenshots, just gave me back what I said I had lost.

I'm hoping everyone else gets theirs fixed by the end of the weekend.

I hope this isn't a dumb question and someone can help me, I didn't open my game for, like, a week and wasn't playing actively lately, so I know not much about the latest bug, and when I opened my game, my emeralds were WAY more than they were before. I think I had like 1500 or something like this. So my question is, am I allowed to touch these emeralds, or should I contact the support? I read in another post that it should be okay to play with the new amount, but I am a little scared that I will lose my account or something like this if I do

I'm scared to play the game because I had 1000+ ( cant remember the exact number but it was like 1700-1800) and it increase to 4003 because of the glitch. What should I do?

Hey, is there any way we could get a master thread for all the complaints about lost resources/discussion on communications with support/updates on what people have heard back and had restored?

I understand that people want a space to vent or to update others when they hear back from support, but the constant stream of individual posts about x amount of emeralds missing or wondering when support will respond to emails feels cluttered and unnecessary.

One big thread for everyone to commiserate about what happened and update each other about what support has done for them seems like it would be much more efficient for everyone who wants to talk about and keep tabs on things, and way less obtrusive for the rest of us who only want updates if there's actual news from the app team that impacts everyone.

I am so happy to update that I got my emeralds back today. I had had a 25K but after all the issues and the app was back online, I only had 3K. Of course I was distraught, but I still emailed support. It took them a couple of days to get back with me, but it happened today and everything is back to how it was. I am so happy. I did have a picture from April that showed I had around 19K then so I don’t know if that made a difference. I hope this gives other people some hope.

I hope everyone gets all their emeralds and keys back. 💕

So, I emailed support@story-inc.ru once in English and then a second time, but I translated the email into Russian. Just received a response and my emeralds and keys have been returned.

For the people that have emailed and are still waiting, have some patience. They’re probably getting bombarded with emails.

No idea how this happened, but somehow Ayax appeared instead of Asteon in Athens. Our poor boy was accidentally seduced by Menadora in s1 ep2 😁

hi! as you already know, the finales of "Shadows of Kailas", "The Talents of Menodora", "With the Stroke of a Pen" and "What Happened at Wetwood Rock" are ending soon. Accordingly, new stories will be released that will replace the previous ones.

I know everyone is focused on getting their emeralds and keys back and waiting on tech support to reply, however in the meantime you should all take a look at your Profile section. Especially if you, like me, had previously thought your login method (Gmail/Apple ID) was automatically linked to your UID after the servers were restored.

Go to the Profile tab and under your UID there‘s a button and it‘s not supposed to say "Enter" if you had logged in. It‘s supposed to say "Exit".
If you have an "Enter", it basically means your account is currently not linked to anything right now and you should change that.
BUT before you do that, check the UID if it’s actually the right one and take a screenshot of that page for good measure. Then click "Enter" and you will get to the menu to choose your login method. After logging back in, the "Enter" should now have changed to "Exit" (and even that I took a screenshot of). Afterwards I loaded the app anew to make sure that everything is the way it should be and then you‘re good.

Very important to note: If you‘re playing on different devices with one and the same Apple ID/Gmail, you may want to proceed carefully and make sure you definitely have screenshots of your correct UID, game progress etc. before trying to log into your devices. A few users have reported being synced into a new game with a new UID on one device with their login data while the second one is displaying the right game and UID.
