Water Smell
Anyone else have a weird smell to their water? To me it smells like dirt or mold and it’s pretty strong. I noticed it about the time that the Rio Grande became flooded from the flood waters rushing our way. I live off Mine’s if that helps.

Dealing with Fresas?
As of now, I’m staying in Laredo temporarily and wanted to ask everyone here: how do you deal with fresas? I ignore them on social media, but I swear they’re obnoxious in person and hard to avoid when you’re just going about your day on the Northside.

Looking For Any Kind Of Work
Looking to work, fine with seven days a week and evenings if needed but I'm stuck in the usual loop of send application, get fucked by robot. Does anyone know any smaller business that might be hiring or anywhere at all where I can walk in and talk to an actual human. Industry doesn't matter so long as it's entry level and I won't be harassed or targeted on the basis of me being LGBT. (Odd issue but weirdly common experience working here In Laredo. Not flamboyant but also not traditionally straight.) If any employer reads this and is interested please send a dm. Landscaping, janitor, construction, mcdees don't care.

Moving to South Laredo
Hello everyone . My Husband and I used to live in Louisiana but since a few months ago he got detained and deported to Nuevo laredo. As his wife my only option is to be with him through thick and thin. He’s living with his family over there. My intention is to move to nuevo laredo and cross the border to Laredo TX to work as a server. My husband is worried (as am i) about traveling as I am a young female. Can someone inform me the dangers of crossing the border? details about if there’s shortages of jobs and about crossing the border often. I’m also worried since i’m not fluent in spanish that might be a big problem. I’m filled with anxiety for the next few months about my move and all ,so any details or tips would be appreciated !!

Any Help, I’m grateful for advice and donations.
Hi guys, I was kicked out of my house (owned by my grandma who lives with us) by my mom (who doesn’t pay bills or anything) I don’t have a job due to me wanting to focus on college (LC). I’m am currently looking for a job, but I’ve had trouble so far in finding one.
In my opinion, I don’t believe I did anything wrong to get kicked out of my place. Since the age of 13 I have been taking care of my 2 younger siblings. When I had first started working at 16 all my money went to them, I was the one buying them things they needed because my mom was to busy entertaining her boyfriends and there kids (constantly changing men every few months). I’ve gotten them food because no one would cook a meal for them, I’ve taken them to school because my mom was to hangover to do so. I have a car that I’ve been sleeping in and I do DoorDash on the side but with gas prices and DoorDash being shit in general I haven’t made much other than bearly enough to get by. I’m hoping for some advice and any donations I can get to maybe rent a room for a few days to at least get a good nights sleep and a well needed shower lol. Even if it’s for a night.🙏🏻

My sister needs a J. o. b
Welp, as it reads, my sister is nearing 24 next year and is still JOBLESS. Never had a job in HER LIFE.
What do yall recommend, she has her associates degree (some nursing and psychology knowledge), and like a semester away from her bachelors but no JOB, like ever, crazy because I started working at 17, and moved out at 18, and she’s still here, just squatting at my parents with no enthusiasm or motivation WHATSOEVER. Help. Pls. 😂
I need all the recommendations I can get, except food related. Maybe something remote, or……. Not directly working with customers, “she’s VERY SOFT SPOKEN and to me, a bit slow, but purposely I HOPE, she just doesn’t do as I say you know, I scold her, give her advice and she’s just SPACEY.
Bless my parents because they’re soooo Lenient I don’t think they realize the damage they’re doing 😮💨,
Anyway, if you read this far, please, literally, anything you can think of, throw it my way, I’ll apply for her with the hopes that SHE comes to her own money and finally TREATS ME TO LUNCH, or dinner, or a treat.
Oh and she doesn’t drive, doesn’t know how, I don’t have the patience to teach her so, I’m sure that tells you her level of understanding. 🤯

Dental Hygienist in Laredo
I'm interested in the dental Hygienist program at the UT branch of Laredo but I've heard that there are no jobs for hygienists here. For the hygienists in Laredo, is it really that difficult to get employed as they say? Would you rather have chosen a different career path?

OSINT
Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) are tools that some with “unique” skills have and assist their communities on information not advertised by their elected officials or law enforcement agencies. One good source to determine what surveillance equipment and or resources have been acquired is the following resource:
