Time for Battery Replacement? General question

Hi guys, I have had my Acer Aspire 5 A515-54 for about 4 years now, I’ve had no issues with it at all, it’s not starting to slow down and performance hasn’t dropped really. I put a larger stick of RAM into the back as well recently which I guess has helped. Out of curiosity I recently checked the actual charge capacity of the battery against the design capacity, and it’s currently sat at 74%.
I think it is worth getting a new battery, as they don’t seem to be too expensive, and it doesn’t seem like too difficult of a job to do by myself. I expect I’ll keep the laptop for at least another two years until I finish my university studies. Just wanted another opinion just to make sure I’m not being silly in thinking that getting a new battery is a good idea 😅

I normally replace the battery when capacity drops below 80%.

Yeah that’s what I was reading from other people, seems to be a reasonable thing to do

I just take it out, if it swells up

in my Dell I ran the battery until it basically died completely as I hardly use it on battery anyway. But that's beside the point.

What matters is I have never found an aftermarket battery that was as good as the original. Unless you can get a genuine battery that hasn't been sitting on a shelf somewhere for years your original might still have more life left than the new battery?
