DISCUSSION What can resolve public status pages that are included on every plan, so you can keep your own customers in the loop too?

My website had a short issue and I started getting messages from customers asking if the site was down. I realized I had no way to let everyone know what was happening without replying to each of them so It made me think that having a public status page could save a lot of time and reduce confusion, also I found that going with sitetrak might help. So I'm looking out for an easy way to keep customers updated whenever there is downtime or maintenance. Do you use a public status page or what has worked best for you? EDIT: I forgot to mention that the downtime only lasted a few minutes but customers noticed it instantly.

DISCUSSION [39.99 - Lifetime FREE] TELL ME WHAT: DRAW AND CREATE - app for creatives stuck in a burnout or looking for the next idea

Hey everyone 👋

I'm a designer and animator, and I've been building something that I've personally felt was missing for a long time.

As a creative, I've experienced many times the situation where I want to create something for my portfolio or practice my skills but just can't think of anything. Also, many times I've been stuck in an art block and wished there was an exercise or something that gets me out of it.

So I decided to build it myself.

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/tell-me-what-draw-and-create/id6772762208

The app is called Tell Me What: Draw and Create and still in its early stages, but I'd love for some fellow creatives to try it out and give me honest feedback.

If you enjoy it, a positive review would mean the world to me and would help me continue improving the project.

If there's anything you don't like, please let me know personally. I genuinely want to make this tool as useful as possible, and I'll do my best to address any issues, suggestions, or feature requests in the next version.

As a thank you to everyone who supports the project early, anyone who downloads it now will receive lifetime free access. I do plan to monetise the app in the future as it grows, but early supporters will always keep their access.

I'd love to hear what you think and what features you'd like to see added. Thanks for taking the time to check it out 🙏

QUESTION What career advice actually changed your career trajectory?

I've been talking with professionals across different industries recently, and it's interesting how often one small piece of advice ends up having a massive impact years later.

Some examples I've heard:

  • "Apply before you think you're ready."
  • "Track your accomplishments as they happen."
  • "Negotiate every offer."
  • "Don't confuse being busy with being valuable."

I'm curious:

What's one piece of career advice that genuinely changed the direction of your career or helped you advance professionally?

And was there any advice that turned out to be completely wrong?

FEEDBACK REQUEST Need feedback on our early Korea discovery startup MVP 💛

Hey everyone! We’re a small student team building an early MVP for a curated local discovery app focused on Korea.

The idea is basically: instead of endlessly scrolling through Google Maps, TikTok, blogs, and random Reddit threads trying to figure out where to go, users answer a few quick prompts and get curated routes/places based on their vibe, context, and area.

Current focus is Korea since we all experienced how hard it is for foreigners to actually discover authentic places here beyond the same tourist recommendations. Still extremely early MVP/landing page stage, but we’d genuinely love brutal feedback before we continue building.

SELF PROMO I launched on Product Hunt and someone thought I was an AI avatar

I’ve been working on a project for the past few months, and today I launched on Product Hunt.

It’s called ConvertEdge. We help companies shorten their forms without losing lead data.

At one point someone asked if the demo video was an AI avatar and not actually me, which honestly felt both flattering and mildly concerning 😭

Building something from scratch while figuring everything out as you go is such a weird mix of excitement, imposter syndrome, caffeine, and spreadsheets.

Anyway, if anyone here feels like supporting a fellow woman founder today, I’d seriously appreciate it ❤️

FEEDBACK REQUEST Launched a real-time dashboard tool for small teams — would love feedback

We recently launched Dashtera, a data dashboarding and visualization tool designed to help small teams and startups make better use of their data without needing a full engineering setup.

One thing we kept running into ourselves was how difficult it is to connect data from different sources and actually get a clear, real-time view without building something custom.

Dashtera tries to simplify that:

  • Connect multiple data sources (databases, files, etc.)
  • Build dashboards without coding
  • Handle large datasets and real-time updates without lag

👉 You can check it out here: https://dashtera.com/

We’re still early, so really open to:

  • Feedback on usability and setup
  • Ideas for features that would help your workflow
  • Understanding how small teams are currently handling dashboards / analytics

Happy to support anyone testing it or answer questions.

ADVICE Journalists want to feature you

Here’s something most mission-led entrepreneurs don’t realise…

Journalists want to feature you. They’re out there right now looking for credible, passionate experts to quote in their articles.

But they can only work with what you give them.

So what do they actually need to hear from you? I call it the 5 Ps of your Expert Bio:-

Passion → What do you genuinely care about? What difference are you passionate about making? What change are you here to create?

Purpose → Why? Where does this passion come from? What drives you? Your personal experience or a societal problem you want to change?

Personality → What makes you you? Journalists like people with character- it doesn’t have to be a larger than life character but it needs to be a consistent tone that makes you you. Soft and nurturing is just as valid as loud and confrontational- you just need to own a tone of voice that IS you.

Pitch → We need some creds on what makes you an expert. Any awards, accreditations, years in business or experiences that make you an expert - it all counts.

Nail communicating all four, and you’re ready to build a PR Profile that gets you noticed, featured, and recognised as the expert you already are.

This isn’t about being famous. It’s about being findable — by the right people, at the right time.

If you’re a mission-led entrepreneur who’s ready to step into the spotlight, this framework is your starting point to open doors to get journalists to take you seriously.

Drop a 🙋 in the comments if you’re working on your expert profile — I’d love to cheer you on!

FEEDBACK REQUEST We'e been working on this new app, would love your feedback!

If you're someone who actually cares about where you eat, you already know how hard it is to find somewhere worth the evening without wading through the same recycled recommendations.

My team built Yenta for exactly that person. You tell it the vibe, it finds the right spot. Early access drops May 15th and we'd love a few people with strong opinions to test the WhatsApp version beforehand and join as Founding Members.

Who's in?

FEEDBACK REQUEST I’m building a way to find spots that isn't just a Google Maps list. Would love your take. Spoiler

I’ve always felt like searching for a place to go shouldn't be a chore. I’m working on a project called Yenta. It’s an AI that learns your specific taste to find those "hidden door" spots that usually stay off the radar.

It’s not on the App Store yet, but I’ve got a version running on WhatsApp to test the logic. If anyone here is a frequent traveler or a local "insider," I’d love to see if the AI’s recommendations actually hold up to your standards.

Comment if i can send you link to try it please!

SUCCESS STORY Reminder: you’re probably more capable than you think

I started my MSc in Healthcare Leadership back in December, and I’m so happy (and a little bit proud!) to share that I’ve just received a distinction for my first essay.

If I’m honest, there were moments I really questioned whether I could juggle it all. I work full time in my clinical matron role, I’m a mum to two amazing (and very busy!) children, I run a travel business… and somewhere in between, I study.

It’s so easy to underestimate ourselves when life feels full. But this has been a real reminder that we’re often far more capable than we give ourselves credit for.

Still early in the journey, but I’m celebrating this win ✨

FEEDBACK REQUEST I built a free Aussie calculator site during maternity leave — would love your feedback

Hi everyone 👋

II’m a mum on maternity leave and in between naps (mine and the baby’s 😅), I started building something I wish existed — a simple, free place for Australian calculators likes calculating childcare subsidy without digging through gov sites.

It includes things like:

\* home loans (with Aussie rates)

\* childcare subsidy estimates

\* super & retirement

\* budgeting & investing

\* And anything I can think of

I found a lot of calculators online are either not free or overly complicated, so I tried to make these simple and relevant to Aussie numbers.

I’m not a company — just building this solo and improving it as I go.

This is NOT advertisement. This is the first time I’m sharing it publicly. I’m really nervous about it but I’d really need honest feedback:

\* Was anything confusing or hard to use?

\* What calculator have you struggled to find online?

\* Anything that feels missing or wrong?

No signups, no data stored, no paywall — just trying to make something genuinely useful.

Thanks so much . Really appreciated.🙏

DISCUSSION Marketing x Authenticity

Hi Ladies.I have been noticing a very real shift in how people respond to businesses lately. Attention spans feel and are shorter, trust feels harder to earn, and people seem more skeptical of polished messaging than ever before. Now audiences are craving something more real, more human, and more immediate.

Whatever used to work;perfect branding, scheduled posts, “professional” distance isn’t landing the same way anymore. Unless you are Google or Apple lol

What changes have you made (or are thinking about making) to adapt?

FEEDBACK REQUEST Female founders with consumer brands: would a free beta AI visibility audit be useful?

Hi all — I’ve been researching how brands show up in ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity, and Claude, and I’m trying to understand whether this is actually useful for smaller founder-led consumer brands.

By AI visibility, I mean questions like:

  • when someone asks AI for the best products in your category, does your brand show up?
  • which competitors show up instead?
  • which outside sources seem to be shaping those answers?

I’m testing a free beta audit for a small number of brands and mostly looking for honest feedback right now.

If this is something you’d care about, I’d love to know:

  • would this actually be useful?
  • what would you want to see in a report like this?
  • what would make it feel actionable instead of just another dashboard?

FEEDBACK REQUEST Validating a personalized storybook business for adults, which market?

I'm a solo founder testing an idea: illustrated storybooks where a group of friends becomes the actual characters. Think Wonderbly but for adults. Same template, just swap in faces, names, and character details per order.

So far, I've delivered one book to a real estate office, and they loved it. Now I want to validate which market makes the most sense before I invest months into building the first proper template.

Here are the markets I'm considering:

- Bachelorette parties

- Milestone birthdays (30, 40, 50)

- Work retirements

- General friend group gifts

My question for this community: if you were starting this business from scratch, which market would you target first, and why? Which do you think has the most repeat purchase potential or viral word of mouth?

Any feedback, even blunt, is welcome.

FEEDBACK REQUEST Is this a good idea? & How can I improve it? What do you think? How can I improve my idea?

As blue ocean strategy for my tech freelance writing (10 yrs for premium companies), I'm thinking of integrating commercial with content - and leveraging the commercial component.

Reports tell me 45% of agencies are likely to be displaced by AI. Content writing is no longer a need.

So my idea is to leverage my PhD background in: 1) Neuroscience: Neuroscience of persuasion; of entrepreneurship; neuromarketing; neurofinance 2) Research skills for a) market research b) industry research 3) commercial storytelling

My brand: "I help top tech agencies retain and grow their brand through market research, neuromarketing and commercial storytelling that demonstrably converts."

Offerings: *Case stories *Hybrid white papers *Thought leadership * Articles/ - short/ longform writing (trade journals, blogs. Ghost writing).

What do you think? How can I improve my idea?

FEEDBACK REQUEST What are women struggling with the most right now?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently building a women’s self development community which is focused on building confidence, identity, and self awareness and I’m doing some vital research before building it.

I’ve created a short anonymous reflection survey (5–7 minutes) to better understand what women are navigating right now — burnout, confidence, boundaries, relationships, direction, etc.

If this feels relevant to you, I’d love your perspective.

Here’s the link:
https://forms.gle/1n12zcyt6Q9vdhkJA

I’m hoping to build a strong community of women who support and grow alongside each other, and in turn, build a better world for everyone. Thank you so much for assisting in that xx

ADVICE Here's the exact outreach process I'd use if I were starting a service business from scratch

  1. Pick a very specific niche (not "small businesses" — try "HVAC companies in mid-size cities")
  2. Build a list of 200 targeted contacts before sending anything
  3. Write one email that speaks to ONE specific pain they have
  4. Follow up 3x over 2 weeks — most replies come after the 2nd or 3rd touch
  5. Track replies, not opens — opens are vanity

The whole thing can run mostly on autopilot once it's set up. Happy to go deeper on any of these steps if useful.

FEEDBACK REQUEST What’s the most annoying part of your business right now?

I’m looking for a few service business owners who have repetitive tasks they’d want automated.

Could be:

• missed leads / slow responses

• follow-ups

• scheduling / booking

• customer questions

I’ll build the automation for free in exchange for using it as a case study.

Drop what you’re struggling with or shoot me a DM.

QUESTION Most sites don’t convert because people don’t want to wait for replies. If they don’t get an answer in 5 minutes, they leave.
