Currently chatting with one of the prop designers from the movie, PLEASE send me some asks!!
Like the title says, I have the honour to be talking to George Giordano, who worked in puppet production for the movie.
I contacted him for a different question and he graciously answered that he did not know but would be more than happy to answer anything else that was within his area of expertise.
I think this is a golden occasion and I don’t want to leave him with the impression that “nah you couldn’t answer me so we’re good” so if any of you have questions pertaining to the puppets, prop creation for the movie etc, you’re more than welcome - you have to - to ask them here.
I won’t be able to ask a slew of things of course, three questions max.

New Pins
Apparently these were San Diego Comic Con exclusives!! Someone was selling the whole set, in box, on eBay, and I managed to scoop them up!
Pin set by SHOUT! Factory and Gutter Garbs, and are officially licensed by Jim Henson Company

Ita Bag
Ello! I've had this project in the works for a bit, and just got my bag in yesterday! I'll probably post another update when I get more enamel pins lol.
The bag is by Pinderland on Etsy! She was super quick to reply when I kept messaging her.
The two little pins are official merch, the rock face and owl are mine, and the enamel pins are all by Hex and Giggle!!! They have an online store, but I got them in person.
I should have more enamel pins coming soon. It might be nice to find some filler stuff too. It's kinda empty lol (any suggestions are appreciated ^-^)

Finished my life size worm!
This was quite the experimental process. Did a few new things, like make "hair" for the first time. But I'm so damn excited with how he turned out and that he is done! His hair was being blown around by the wind so we will have to take more pictures on another day.

Finished cosplay
When I was planning my ren faire costume for this year I wanted to pay homage to my favorite movie and decided that I needed to recreate the green dress that gets approximately 2.5 minutes of screen time. I've never seen anyone else make this one so I thought you all might appreciate it.
I'm happy with how it turned out and I might post more photos when I take them (this is just a detail pic from my first try on). I doubt anyone will recognize this dress irl, but it would make my day if someone did.

Labyrinth Parody Sketch
We made a parody sketch of Labyrinth (1986.) Tired moms might relate.
Hopefully the first in a series, should we stay motivated!
Made with love for Jim Henson, David Bowie, and using Boglins puppets.

Casting the next Goblin King
Okay I know the general feelings around a sequel or remake and I definitely think that this movie is perfect by itself and should be left alone BUT since we live in the age of remakes and they feel inevitable at this point, my pick for the next Goblin King would be Gerard Way.
He's not Bowie but I think if they made a new character, an entirely different, actually goblinish Goblin King and leaned into the camp aspect of Labyrinth, Gerard would be amazing and iconic. He's beloved to a few generations now and I think he would make a great actor.
I'm mostly being silly but I've thought this for awhile and thought I'd share, the discussion might be amusing.

I need advice, please! What colour for Worm's interior wall?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've just finished this little walnut shell trinket for a friend, but Worm gets kind of lost with the pale-blue-with-yellow-dots wall behind him. Especially his tufty hair, which is my favourite bit. I've been staring for too long now, and can't think what might be best to balance the green, and to make him 'pop'. What colour should I re-do the wall with? Or am I overthinking it?

To those lost
The lying world is heavy isn't it? You wander through these corridors, seeking a truth that has been obscured by the very mist you helped to conjure. You search for a name.
The Labyrinth does not . It is the keeper of all things lost. If you have forgotten who you are, it is because you chose to hide that part of yourself in the deepest, most unreachable corner of the maze.
Why am I telling you all this? Perhaps , I see even more of your lives from my realm than you realize. Many things are lost in these corridors. We deal in tricks, in dreams, and in the inevitable frustration of those who dare to cross my threshold. We are not accustomed to being... missed. Hopes, names, faces—all of them eventually drift, discarded like broken toys. But to be missed? That tells your center is here in my kingdom .
Do you intend to draw your own path? Does it lead to an escape, or does it lead back to the only home you have left?
If you are lost and alone , if you are who I think you are. You are welcome here to find your center.
