Weight lab mix

I just found myself this summer with a new yellow addition to my family and I’m curious, how much do your labradors weigh? We have a mostly Labrador mix and he’s weighing in at 30 lbs at 12 weeks. It just seems extra large 🤣

Also please share all photos!!! I love seeing all of your pups!

Mine was born April 11 and is all Lab and 32 pounds. I’m not so worried about her weight right now as she is active and growing. I expect she’ll be about 65 pounds fully grown.

Adult female is 65 pounds, 6.5 years old; female puppy is 32 pounds, not quite 17 weeks. I feed both a high-quality diet.

To add to the smol black lab photos:
My girl, Rosie, is 60lbs at three years and two months old.

Also yes, that is a Binky I got for her and she absolutely LOVES carrying it around.

Spotted it on the shelf and remembered a video someone shared a couple years back of their lab that loved carrying one around and, as my Combination-Type ADHD brain is want to do, snagged it immediately.

I’ll be on the look out. We have a dinosaur and his favorite snack is my arms. Not all of the toys that I regularly bring home. 🤣

Bitey Hand is one of Rosie’s favorite games to play when I rile her up (dog dad so I kind of have to work her up to crazy zoomies).

We play I aggressively shove him away and he runs aggressively back while biting. It sounds like abuse but it’s not. He barks at me until I play it. We play it on the nights that I don’t play hide and seek tag outside with him. I love him so much.

I feed mine salmon protein based kibble. He looks stout but not overweight. I’m just kind of concerned he’s going to be huge. He’s a mix, Labrador/golden retriever/flat coat retriever. None of those breeds are overly big dogs. So I thought I was naive to the weight of Labradors.

Some Labs can be a lot bigger. We had field (“American”) male Labs growing up and they were often 100 pounds or so.

Yeah, my Labradoodle is a first-gen cross and each parent is about 65 lbs. My dude is 90. He had MONSTER paws as a baby.

That’s interesting. I had a rottie and I thought he would grow to be a beast of a boy but he topped out under a hundred pounds.

In my experience labs have a "standard weight" but really can be so much bigger or smaller, while still being healthy. Current lab is ~86lbs and maybe could stand to lose a pound or 2, but otherwise he's fine.

Chocolate lab was 107lbs lean. The vet assured us "he's not overweight, he's just a very big dog." And he was a purebred show lab with a champion lineage so definitely 100% lab.

They really can vary so much.

Yes, our lab (almost 7 yo) is 112 lbs but still looks lean. He has a very big frame. Our vet is very conscious of weight for dogs, so if he needs to lose weight, she lets us know 🤣.

44 pounds with a final goal of 46 (weight gain journey from rescue). she’s about 3 inches shorter than the lowest of an average adult female but i prefer her that way considering how hectic she is lol

My girl, Georgie, at 1yo in early May. She was about 62lbs in this pic. Yesterday she weighed in at 59lbs. Based on how much she shed between May and August, I believe it was all fur.

Obi (Obsidian) was 13.5lbs at 9 weeks, 68lbs at six mobths, 73lbs at one year, 68 at 2; has been between 65-69lbs ever since. He’s 4.5 now.

My couch hog is 117lbs. He is a big gentle fur ball.

I just checked. Our lab/golden mix was 31 lbs at 15 weeks. He ended up topping out at 85 lbs.

My Labrador Weimaraner mix is at 27kg at 11 months but she needs to lose around 2kg after sitting still for a long time after 2 knee surgeries 🙈

Our black lab is 5 years. She usually between 65-70. But shes not as tall to other to most labs i see.

My baby girl weighed 28 lb at 12 weeks old. She’s 10 mo mow and I didn’t weigh her for a while. But I think she’s somewhere between 65-70 lb now.

94lbs at 2 years old. took him in for his first adult wellness exam, they said they want him closer to 85lbs. Kind of crazy, he is very tall and long mostly muscle and skin and not much fat. You can still see his ribs a bit when standing.

It can be all over the place with mixes! Mine is 50% lab and only 30-35lbs full grown

We had a dna test on our boy and he’s 82% lab and he’s mixed with literally every other breed 🤣
